Holiday houses in Lake Independence

Paul’s house was a great stay for snowmobiling! We had 7 in our group and the property manager brought us dishwashing soap because we were out. House was very clean and roomy. Lots of parking for trucks and trailer. Driveway plowing was frequent after snow. Watched the lions game and ordered carry out to house worked out great. Great location from snowmobile trail and close to gas and great restaurants in Houghton or Hancock. We would have like to stay an extra night but property manager said someone is coming in but house was vacant that night. We stayed extra night just down the street but would have been much more convient to stay at house one extra night instead of moving all of our gear and unpacking and repacking. The use of the garage would have been great to work on sleds because of the extreme cold while we were there that would have made the price of the stay more justified. Highly recommend for future trips.

Loved this little cottage, which was beautiful, comfortable, clean, and stocked with anything we needed. Fantastic lake view and easy lake access. Host was communicative and friendly. Would revisit in a heartbeat 💗

My son and I visited Marquette in late September. Donna's house was a great place to stay. Clean, spacious, and well equipped. It's in a peaceful neighborhood but convenient to downtown Marquette. We took several day trips both east and west along beautiful Lake Superior. It was a wonderful vacation!

Great location right on the water. We watched the sunrise right out of the horizon every morning. Was a great place to cook, watch movies, read, rest and relax but was also close enough to go out for a day of exploring in Copper Harbor (hour away). Going to Copper Harbor in fall was amazing & the colors were beautiful the entire drive. 🍁 There are neighbors but we had no issues. Beach was basically empty the whole time so very private. We did some morning (sunrise) & evening (moon) yoga by the beach. Rooms & beds were comfortable, overall great place & we would stay again. I would stay here again.

Great house, my family came up to ski at Mt. Bohemia. The game from in the basement was Fantastic. We would definitely book again.

Great location! Loved the recommendations and the only place I’ve stayed where I didn’t need to do anything before check out :) The beds were comfy and plentiful and the house was super kid friendly, even a toy box that my boys loved playing with. Super close to town and Marquette Mountain Resort as well as all the other fun hikes and activities.

Great Location. Several deer came up to eat from the apple tree close by, the lake is beautiful and it was a great place to watch the sunset by the fire-pit. The place had an "up-north" cabin feel with the amenities of a home. It would be a great size for a couple or even a married couple with a few kids.

My family and myself loved our stay at Kari’s place. We enjoyed the hot tub and message chair. My boys enjoyed the close proximity to Mt Ripley for skiing.

The location was excellent with easy access to Houghton/Hancock as well as driving along the lake to Copper Harbor. Felt very homey.
