Lake house holiday rentals in Lake Glenville

This property was perfect for a winter getaway. The home is lovely, the neighborhood is charming and the surroundings are nature at its best. We like to prepare our own meals and the well equipped kitchen met all our expectations. The fireplace provided such a nice comfy feeling. Although it was not the right time of the year to indulge in spending time on the spacious porch, being so close to the river added to the peaceful mood created by the home's interior environment. We enjoyed the opportunity to take long walks in the surrounding area. And it was a plus to have any needed services close by. This would most certainly be a place we would consider revisiting.

Me and my family had a great stay at this beautiful home! Me and my wife shared a room, my son had a room, and my daughter took the living room which she absolutely loved. The living area is incredibly comfy and cozy, with a large TV and a wood stove to keep you warm. We spent most nights comfortably watching TV while drinking hot cocoa, or making candy apples or s'mores on the stove. The nearby river is easy to navigate, but takes a bit of climbing to get to the far side where the riverbank if best for a walk. If you want peace and quiet, you will get it here, the only neighbor we saw was the dog from next door, who was incredibly friendly and sweet with my kids. Everything you need in the way of supplies, shopping, and food is just 15 minutes away. Plenty of activities within distance, we fished, hiked, snow-tubed, and went skiing/snowboarding all in our short stay. We had a great time and our only regret was not staying a few extra days!

The place is exactly as described. Very close to WCU and worked out great during move in day. Relaxing place to stay.

This house is beautifully done! Kitchen was well stocked with lots of extras. Bedrooms and baths were comfortable and clean. Gorgeous views out of large windows and doors. Convenient location to Cashiers, Highlands and Brevard. Perfect for our girls weekend.

It was one of the best vacations I've ever had, a beautiful and complete house, a wonderful and peaceful place, lush landscapes, beautiful waterfalls, I want to go back to the same place in the summer to be able to enjoy the lakes better. I recommend it to everyone.

Carolyn is a exceptional host and we found her home on the lake to be very comfortable and cozy. It was furnished very nicely, had very comfortable beds and was equipped with all the essentials you could possibly need, in addition to extras. The home is well organized too making it so easy to find anything we needed in the home. She’s clearly put a lot of thought into making her guests experiences outstanding. We had a wonderful time and will definitely stay here again or at one of her other properties for our return stays to the area.

Very nice house. Lovely view of water. Fire places, fire pit, just wish we had time to use them. Cabin was cozy! Nice tv and fridge. Very clean. We did not cook so can’t speak to utensils. Lots of towels! Driveway is steep and does not accommodate large pick ups well. We did make it. Close to town which was nice. I’d stay there again!

We traveled to John’s place from Louisiana with three young kids - 5, 3, and 1. We could not have picked a better house to meet our needs. The house was impeccably clean and had so many little extras like laundry detergent and a few key spices. The kids loved the playground and we loved that the house was one story, totally eliminating the stair fear factor with the toddler. We cooked many of the nights we were in town and the house had absolutely everything we needed, down to tin foil to make clean up easy! The location was great - we made day trips to Brevard, Cashiers, Clemson, and the Highlands. We have already recommended this place to friends looking to plan a family vacation to the area. One of our favorite stays yet!

Amanda’s place truly exceeded all our expectations. From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with a nice bottle of wine by the host. The property itself was immaculate and tastefully decorated, blending modern amenities with charming, rustic touches. The living area was spacious and inviting, perfect for relaxing after a day of exploring. The kitchen was well-equipped, making it easy to prepare meals. Another highlight was the outdoor space, which featured a cozy patio with comfortable seating perfect for stargazing in the evenings, or looking at the creek not too are away. The location was also a huge plus; it was conveniently situated near WCU, yet peaceful enough to enjoy a quiet retreat. Overall, this Airbnb provided an unforgettable experience. I highly recommend it!

It was the perfect amount of space for my husband and I. The home is well appointed, cozy and comfortable (and very quiet!). I loved walking the hills in the neighborhood. Cashiers is our happy place, and we will absolutely rent this home again. Highly recommend!

Jake’s Gem was fantastic! My family stayed for the week of Christmas. We watched nightly Christmas movies as a family in the cozy living room with soft fuzzy blankets on the big screen hung above the fireplace. We visited many local restaurants that were a short drive from the house. Also, we visited the pool/hot tub and game room at the Sapphire Valley Resort multiple days, which is a few minutes drive from the house. Jake was a wonderful host and very responsive to my messages offering great information!!

This home has all of the bells and whistles! It is luxurious and upscale, with oversized furniture, loads of space, and even bidets! Yet it still manages to have a cozy, comfortable vibe that features soft afghans, two fireplaces and a glorious morning view from the huge screened-in porch. It's like being in a tree house for adults. There was plenty of information available about the area, hiking trails, restaurants and other nearby amenities. There were very helpful instructions for check-in, Wi-Fi, cell service, etc. as well as games and books to enjoy. Dorothy was very quick to respond to all messages. We can't wait for a chance to go back.

Beautiful home 🏠 in a very peaceful neighborhood! Saw lots of 🐿️ wildlife 🦌 while around the campfire 🔥 Found the tiny, hidden waterfall across the street 🤍 Met the wonderful neighbors! Visited Looking Glass Falls, Downtown, and went tubing! Great way to celebrate our 16th anniversary 🥰 Cellular service was nonexistent (but I'm not complaining), but the WiFi worked great! Overall, the house, the location, and the memories were worth every penny! 🤍

The house was wonderful! We had a cold, snowy weekend and had another property cancel on us last minute and we found this one as an alternative and we couldn’t have been more happy with how the house was. The location was great, north end of Lake Glenville. The house seemed new and was spotless upon arrival. It has all the amenities you would need and Jenn was very responsive. Highly recommend for a great weekend away!

This house was absolutely stunning and it was the perfect place for a quiet Christmas with my parents and our pups! Lake Toxaway is such a beautiful place and this home is so peaceful! Beautiful golf course view!

My family really enjoyed our stay here. It was quiet and peaceful, but also conveniently close to town. The lakeside location gave us something pretty to look at each day. We enjoyed sitting outside on the balcony and down by the lake to soak up the view. Thanks!

I cannot say enough about this wonderful mountain/lake home! There was so much to do at the home that we spent almost all of our time there…. Canoeing, kayaking, exploring, time on the screened porch when it rained…and more. There were an abundance of toys, games, etc for the littles and the adults enjoyed the beautiful views, surroundings and spacious, beautiful home. We often rent homes for our family gatherings and have always been pleased, but this home was just perfect in every way! We can’t wait to return!

The house was perfect for a larger group, plenty of space if you needed to be alone. Gorgeous view of the lake and very convenient to the highways. The bathrooms, kitchen and open floor areas were clean but perimeter of the rooms and under the furniture needed to be swiffered. Vacasa offered to come in and do that but I declined as we were halfway through our stay. We were there over Christmas and I was cooking for the crowd so I would have liked some decent serving bowls (not plastic) and do bring your own knives if you plan to cook. I would definitely stay there again.

Exceeded our expectations ~ a lovely home and beautifully maintained. Well appointed and nothing lacking. The description of the property is accurate and the directions & instructions to get to the house are detailed & exact ~ the location is a bit tricky on first try. We loved the privacy of the cove on the lake. Great to have the ‘water toys’ available although accessing the kayaks was challenging ~ the only negative comment I have. We would happily rent this property again.

Lonnie’s place was absolutely amazing! If anyone wants a gorgeous home to enjoy the beautiful Sapphire Valley I’d highly recommend this home. My family stayed there 8 days and we’ll definitely be back!!

It was a beautiful place, with a stunning view of the lake & mountains beyond. Comfy & casual. The fireplace was a bit smoky but not too bad. Comfortable beds & small but nice bathrooms. Bebe gave us great recommendations for nearby restaurants & hikes. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Teri was extremely responsive and great to work with. Her place was really close to the beach and kayaking areas as well as central to Sapphire. Perfect location and parking was easy. We will definitely be interested in staying here again.

The home was beautiful and Randy was a super friendly host. We had an issue with the alarm and when I reached out for help he was quick to assist. He was very friendly and a great host.
