the most amazing stay. so close to the train station and all restaurants. the place is right near the train tracks but you can't really hear any noise as there are multiple glass doors blocking the noise. the amenities were perfect, we were able to do our laundry. the wet room is foreign for us but we loved it. Laylas communication was great and very helpful. would definitely love to return again some day.

Hotel is very close to kyoto station, its clean and a good room overall.

The apartment is very spacious and well equipped. The subway is within walking distance. Check in worked very well. Masahito responded very quickly and was very friendly. We would come back.

What a gem of a place! One of my favorite Airbnbs we've stayed in – it even has a pin on Google Maps (search "The Gion House")! Despite having to take a taxi to get here, we were able to walk absolutely everywhere else we wanted to from here. It's a ~5min walk from the famous Hokan-ji temple + streets, ~6min walk from 7/11, and ~10min walk to all the restaurants like Kichi Kichi Omurice. Made me wish we could have stayed an extra day! The house itself has a lot of charm (we had a photoshoot inside with our kimono rentals) and the water pressure in the shower is unmatched. Would definitely stay here again, although next time I might stay in the bottom floor because it might be nice to have a garden :)

Beautiful traditional house. Being by the water was quite tranquil and serene. Close to gion and easy to get around. Seiko was a wonderful host and showed us the home personally. I would recommend to families staying here. The stairs upstairs are quite steep and not for everyone.

Tony’s a place is fantastic for a small group. Even though we were a group of 3, it is spacious and can easily fit 4-5. I love the simple, functional decor, with all the amenities we needed!! House is warm during winter, most importantly, the floor and shower room is heated. Do note that there are no rooms- beds are on separate levels with curtains, so you can hear everyone. Location is great, <7 mins to the metro stations, and 10-15 mins walk to Umeda shopping area. Love that there’s a supermarket just behind so it’s super convenient. Tony is an amazing host, and went above and beyond as a host. We arrived close to midnight and were received by his wife and shown the house. Tony is always reachable by text throughout the trip and even offered to send us to the bus station. I will definitely stay here again if I come back to Osaka!

Very convenient to JR line, Inari Shrine (10,000 gates), another subway line, a cute market and shops, and of course 7-11. We loved it. It was perfect.

Perfect place to stay, very clean, very warm and great location near the stations. The samurai and other Japanese decorations were epic too. Highly recommended

It is easy to find the house from Kyoto Station, less than ten minutes walk from Kyoto Station, so transportation is very convenient. Details provided and responded promptly. The daily necessities and home appliances provided were comprehensive.There is a dryer is a bonus, Kyoto is very cold when we go, and the dryer can be convenient to make the clothes dry and comfortable. It is more suitable for two to three people.

This is highly recommended especially if you will be taking the shinkansen throughout your stay in Japan. We arrived in Nagoya and easily went to Shin-osaka to Miki's place, then upon checkout, we'll ride the shinkansen again. So this is very accessible. Plus, its near the JR lines and Midosuji lines, which is what you need to explore Osaka, Kyoto, Nara, and Kobe.

Best airbnb! Looked like the pictures, complete amenities, and is a convenient walk from convenience stores, bus stop and Kyoto station. Highly recommended for others!

Ideal place to stay in Kyoto on a budget. There are several bus stops, convenience stores, restaurants and other amenities within walking distance of the building. Despite being located in a densely populated area, the neighbourhood is a very quiet and pleasant place to be. Very responsive and helpful host - within the apartment there is also a useful instruction booklet.
