Holiday rentals with a fireplace in Lake Almanor West

Loved this rental. It was perfect for our whole family including our dog. It was a safe neighboorhood and not completely isolated which we liked. The hot tub was perfect to soak in after playing in the snow. We have school aged children so we were able to let them play outside with our supervision and build snowman and have snowball fights. The golf course was a short distance so we were able to take several of the sleds Carolyn had for us and found a nice hill the kids were able to sled down for several hours. Overall great place and will visit again.

I grew up in Quincy so I know how beautiful and peaceful it is in Plumas County. Even so, this location has some kind of magic. Every window has a great view, l loved cooking on the gourmet stove, the house is steps away from Spanish Creek. There is a spectacular train track in the sky which is an engineering masterpiece. If you enjoy reading on a window seat, it’s downstairs in a sun filled room waiting for you. My husband and I will be back. The driveway entrance off the highway is super sketchy, but the second time we drove it was easier, that was the single issue we had with the property.

We made our annual trip to Chester and stayed at our favorite place in town. The house and surroundings are excellent and each year the hosts surprise us with something new that they have added or improved upon. This year we enjoyed sitting on the new deck attached to the house complete with comfortable furnishings. They are artists at interior and exterior beautification. Denise and Rolf have provided wonderful suggestions for local hikes that allow dogs. Each hike has been fabulous and they share details and clear directions. We are so lucky to be able to bring our dog with us. The house and property are a perfect match for both humans and pups. And our dog is always glad to reconnect with Charlie and Tonka! We feel so welcomed and cared for. We highly recommend staying at this special place.

Sabrina was very responsive and the place fit our needs well. It was very comfortable and easy to get in and out.

House is lovely, location is perfect for hanging out or exploring Lassen NP and the surrounding area. Would love to stay here again! Only wish it was warm enough to open the windows so we could be inside and hear all the birds during the day and the frogs at night, with the wind in the pines always there. Incredibly peaceful

What a nice, cozy, well outfitted cabin. We visited at the start of winter and grateful for the heater and wood stove to keep the cabin warm. The cabin is super cute with great tile work and cute touches all around. Fast Starlink WIFI and modern smart TV made it easy to stay connected.

This was a cozy house with a rustic cabin aesthetic. There were a lot of nice amenities that made the stay comfortable. The place is a bit hemmed in by private properties, so no immediate hiking or exploration, but it was a great launching off point for driving into the surrounding areas. Our only real complaint was that the pots and pans were put away into the cupboards, but we're still quite dirty with grease and other food that we had to wash before using. This may have just been the fault of the prior guest, because the place was otherwise quite clean, including all the dining ware and utensils.

We had a wonderful stay at Patti's place! It was peaceful and relaxing. It snowed and we loved it. Walked and played outside in the snow and warmed up by the wood burning stove. A relaxing stay reading, playing games and hiking outside. The beds are all memory foam and super comfy, the kitchen is well stocked, the view of the meadow, lake, barn and mountains are all fantastic. The road through the national park was closed but we made it to the visitor's center where you could sled and learn all about the park. Hope to come back sometime in the summer to explore more.
