Holiday rentals with a kayak in La Plata County

We had a great time. The house was perfect for our needs and so cute and clean. Just a nice, peaceful area. We had everything we needed stocked for our stay. The area was just beautiful with all the fall colors. I would suggest if you are bringing your own paddleboards or extra kayaks (there are two kayaks included with the rental) that it is easier to take the path to the lake on the far side of the cabin to the north of the property to get them down to the water. Rene was great with communication and gave great suggestions on things to do in the area!

What a beautiful, peaceful home! Favorite was waking up to 10+ deer in the yard! Gorgeous view! Would definitely stay here again!!!

This space was everything posted about and SO much more! This home was the perfect sanctuary for our family. The host was always so helpful, responsive, wonderful to work with from start to finish. The listing totally undersells the amazingness of this property. The home was spotless. The house was minimalistic in all the best ways as an AirBnb. We felt right at home! The kitchens was perfectly stocked with all the pans, dishes, etc that was needed. Get ready to see some amazing wildlife while enjoying morning coffee on the beautiful wrap around deck. We were left with plenty of firewood to make nights as a family in the living room amazing! Fishing with the kiddos was core memory making! The water is clear enough that when the sun hits just right you can see all the HUGE rainbow trout! Thank you to the host for letting us catch them and make an amazing fish meal! This was the absolute perfect fall trip for our family! Thank you!

Great, private place with enough space for our whole family. Well-stocked, clean and perfectly located between Durango and Purgatory. Will definitely be back!

Beautiful place which we enjoyed A LOT. The host provides with SUPs and Kayaks.. I did not know about the SUP so I had brought my own. We only used the coffee maker, fridge and microwave... but it seemed that the kitchen was well stocked if cooking had been on our agenda.

Felt right at home and enjoyed the neighborhood, proximity to everything, and the amenities.

Jim and Kim’s place felt like home away from home! This was a wonderful way to experience our first time in Durango. The cabin sits on a beautiful lot with plenty of space and outdoor walking. Our dogs loved the open space and quiet neighborhood. The cabin is very close to purgatory resort which was the whole reason we drove up to Durango. The cabin was very clean and warmed up nicely with the fire place and space heaters. The upstairs bedroom is as stated the ceilings are a bit low and the stairs are a little steep. But nothing that should stop you from enjoying this beautiful space. Thank you again for your hospitality! Hoping to be back soon for the later snowboarding season 😊

We love staying here! we have been several times in the summer but this was our first winter trip. absolutely beautiful! They let us use some of their ice skates so my daughter and I could skate on the lake and let my husband borrow some bait for his ice fishing. Very generous and friendly! we will definitely be back again and again!
