Pet-friendly holiday rentals in Kyoto

We spent a week at Cozy House. Really loved the place with lots of nice touches and room for the 3 of us. Very warm in the middle of winter. It was a lovely neighbourhood and we enjoyed the local shops. Fantastic hosts always so kind and helpful!

We really enjoyed our stay at this home in Kyoto. It was well stocked with toiletries, snacks, and green tea. The hosts we very welcoming and we enjoyed the location.

It is really a great homestay, my friends and I are very happy, it is really convenient for travelers who want to cook, and the utensils are fully equipped!Both were able to wash at the same time while taking a shower, the hot water was stable, and the host responded instantly with any questions, highly recommended!

I stayed for two nights, but it was a very comfortable and beautiful place to stay. The landlord was kind and I had a pleasant holiday. Thank you very much.

We loved staying in this traditional house. Clear instructions for everything. Easy to get to and great communication with owner.

Yasushi was an exceptional host and his property was the best place I have stayed at in Japan thus far. Will definitely recommend it to family and friends and plan to stay with him again next time I’m in Kyoto.

The place is nice and clean, it is in a quiet neighbourhood. Host is extremely responsive too, it is a team working, so there will be someone to attend to your message whenever. The house is walkable to 2 stations (Umeikoji-Kyotonishi and Nishioji), though I would recommend Umeikoji-Kyotonishi station especially if you have luggage with you. There are convenience store, Starbucks and a park upon coming out from the station, so it’s great for some quick pick up at the end of the day while you’re heading back to the house. The railway museum is also right by the station. Both stations are 1 stop away from Kyoto station, I really liked that because it is easily accessible and at the same time away from all the busy hustle at Kyoto.

very nice, clean, well equipped

i was looking for a more rural area to get a good feel of the local community. The restaurants, convenience store and pharmacy all close by, the subway was a 4 min walk away, the community sport center is close by, I enjoyed the area, it was a good experience all over. Andres

We stayed for 2 nights with 7 adults, 2 children, 2 dogs, from December 31.It was a large group, but it was spacious, and there was a seasonal cold season in the mountains, but there was a fan heater, and I had a very comfortable stay. There were plenty of balls and games for the kids to play, so my grandchildren were very happy to play. The parking lot was good because there was room for two Hiace cars just across the street. Thanks for your hospitality.

They also sent me a very polite video on how to check in from the station, which was very easy to understand! It was a very clean and comfortable space!

Instructions are great, the place is still a little hard to find. But oh so worthwhile. It's a great part of town. Close to interesting things. Quiet. Well connected. We loved having space and room to live. It was warm, clean, and well appointed. Really appreciated having a washing machine. Drying upstairs worked well. Even in the middle of winter. The hosts are really responsive and helpful. This place is a solid base for exploring kyoto and osaka. Thank you.

The room is clean and very comfortable

Fantastic stay at Uzu’s place this winter. There is so much charm and thoughtfulness to these accommodations. Uzu’s place was clean and comfortable and served as a great “home base” from which to explore Kyoto and surrounding areas. Uzu’s was so thoughtful - sharing great local recommendations with a hand drawn map of key spots. Awesome! For westerners, please know that this is a normal Kyoto home. That means low ceilings. But I am 6 foot 2 and was able to navigate very comfortably. Uzu has great comfortable Western style beds, as well as futons. There was nothing not to love about this place.

Lovely place, traditional looks with all modern conveniences. Easy reach of the local railway station. Someone was close by (who seemed lovely) who was always available to help and provided clean towels during our stay which was nice. Thanks for letting us use your place, I hope we weren't a bother.

Great traditional Japanese house with adequate heating, it was quite warm!

Great stay for 3-4 people. Location is perfect, direct connectivity to some of the attractions. All the amenities were there in the house. I would recommend to stay here. The only drawback was that the host did not allow us to leave our luggage for few hours after the checkout.
