House, centrally located in a rural setting.

YugantiRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
Rita was the kindest host. The place was perfect and beautiful. We didn’t wanna leave, it’s not in the city centre but that’s what we wanted. We even saw northern lights from the Airbnb. We had the best stay especially thanks to Rita’s hospitality. She went above and beyond to help us in every way she could. The place itself was short of nothing, amazing views, great space, very well decorated and clean. Definitely recommend staying here.

Airport 11min | Downtown 16min | Epic Surroundings

We had a wonderful stay at Anette's house. The house looks wonderful with some view from the porch. Anette had given us a guide with recommendations about activities and restaurants/bars. It helped us make the full Tromso experience. We even saw the Northern Lights from the bedroom windows on the 3rd floor. Overall we had a great vacation in Tromso and the surrounding area and we are already planning to come back in the summer.

The perfect house to explore both city and nature

SusanRating, 5 stars1 week ago
My friend and I spent 5 days here and it was amazing. The location is perfect, we were close to nature (might even see the norther lights there!) but also close to the city, and there was a bus right outside the door. The house itself was so beautiful, cozy and tidy. It looks like a house straight out of a Christmas movie. We were welcomed with delicious cookies and immediately felt at home. Guri responded very fast and was an amazing host. Would recommend everyone to book this place for their trip to Tromsø! Hopefully we’ll be back!

Thanks for the opportunity to stay with you, we had a great time. Skiing on the surrounding hills was fantastic. It would just be a good idea to better equip the kitchen when we cook for nine people - bigger pots, etc. Thanks a lot, though, Martin

We stayed for 4 nights at Thorleif’s place and had the best time. Thorleif was so kind and really wants you to have a fantastic time in Tromso - he was so generous with lending us warm winter clothes and firewood for the cabin at the top of the hill. The location is wonderful and the best place to see the northern lights. If you are in Tromso don’t hesitate to book this place. You won’t regret it! I really recommend and wish we could do our holiday all over again!

Mellomgaard - southern-Kvaløya

CarinaRating, 5 stars1 week ago
The accommodation far exceeded our expectations! Carina and Robin were the best hosts!! They were always available from the time of booking and provided us with valuable tips before arrival. During our stay, the two of us were there to help us around the clock and supported us in all matters! The house is cozy and lovingly decorated and we immediately felt at home! Dry food for cooking, detergent, candles, games...there's nothing we would have missed! Even the northern lights can be seen directly from the garden, while the children play in the snow and you heat up in the barbecue hut by the fire. If possible, I would give more than 5 stars 🤩 Thank you for the wonderful time at your place!

Brinkvegen Studio - by lake and hiking trails.

Rares SebastianRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
The place was well-equipped and clean and pretty close to the main street in Tromsø. It is ideal for a couple travelling for a few days in northern Norway. The location is very peaceful and quiet, you pretty much can’t hear a thing besides that strong Arctic wind. Were I to come back, I’d definitely choose Trude’s place.

Nice camper to sleep in

DonnaRating, 5 stars36 months ago
Stay and book within the city of Tromsø for 2-3 days and the rest of your stay, you MUST book one of Freddy’s campers. Beyond the city, you will see the real beauty of Tromsø. We stayed at Freddy’s place for 5 nights! Within six days, 1. We saw the Aurora Borealis dancing right in front of Freddy’s property. 2. We watched the most beautiful green, pink, purple Aurora Borealis during our last night right at Freddy’s backyard. 💚💜💖 3. We hiked twice in different areas 30-mins away by driving from Freddy’s place, 4. We had a walk in the nearby area 5. We ate quail eggs (gifted to us by Freddy). 6. There was a day when we just stayed in the camper, enjoyed the view and read a book. We also walked around the area that day. 7. From afar, we saw Moose and Reindeers. 8. Max the cat, the ducks and Geese are a plus! So adorable! We really wanted to get around the places outside the city, good thing Freddy had an extra car for us to rent. We can assure you, renting a car and driving around is worth the view, worth the everything! 😉 The camper was clean, complete and organize as we arrived. For two people, it is very spacious. The view from the window is stunning. The camper is well-heated. 30mins away, there is a local grocery store. We ate there once and we liked it, and we did our groceries from there too. Karin welcomed us and explained to us everything. Freddy was very helpful with many tips to give us. You can ask him anything about Tromsø. He lent us snow shoes and walking sticks for hiking. We wouldn’t have hiked without it. They are both hospitable and very interesting people to talk with. So if you’re planning a trip outside of Tromsø city, Freddy’s camper is the place to be!

Thank you so much for your hospitality and kindness. We didn't have any particular concerns, except for the fuse and the cool temperature in the morning. But nothing serious. 😉 Thanks again for everything and happy hosting 😊

Rakkebu, 25 km from Tromsø city

JørnRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
Rightly one of the most wonderful stays we've had. The cottage is in a beautiful location with a great view of the water and the mountains. Here you have to go for peace and private. Ideally a location where you need to be to see the northern lights. We were 4 people and had more than enough space in the cottage. The bedrooms have good beds and we slept wonderfully. The sauna present is the cherry on the cake. In short: recommended!

Cozy central by Aurora spot at the lake

Mali's place is clean, convenient, very well located (near Lake Prestvannet, ideal place to observe the northern lights). The bed is extremely comfortable. It is very easy to communicate with Mali, especially since she speaks perfect French. We would highly recommend it.

Beautiful cabin in the nature with view.

MicheleRating, 5 stars2 days ago
What a heavenly little cabin nestled in the woods! The perfect spot to spend five snowy nights! Yes, the cabin is cozy, the views are beautiful, the location is great. But the hosts - Eva & Inge - are what truly make this location special (and the fire oven, which I was obsessed with)! I would recommend this place without hesitation. And will most definitely be spending time there again myself!

Aurora spot

JeanetteRating, 5 stars1 month ago
The cabin is idyllically located by a water with surrounding pine forests and mountains. Aurora Spot is a correct name. There was weather, so you northern lights, and you saw it very well since there is little light noise in the surrounding area. The cabin is sheltered and you experience it as private as it is not in a stuffed cabin field. There are many available leisure activities associated with the cabin such as snowshoes, fishing equipment, fire pit, sledges, ice skates and kayaks. We enjoyed every morning when in the kitchen window we got to see birds, squirrels and hares come to one of the many food spots on the property. The cabin itself is an authentic 70s cabin that is very true to the style. We celebrated Christmas 2024 here, and enjoyed lovely winter conditions, fireplace and wood burning and fire pit. The cabin has all the important amenities in the bathroom and kitchen, and the latter is very well equipped. The cabin also has many games and inside toys, but we did not take advantage of these as we preferred to be as possible outside in the lovely surroundings.

Wilderness cabin

DanielleRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
We had the most wonderful stay at Linn and Hans’ place! It was absolutely perfect. We paid a little extra for Hans to give us a lift from the airport as we didn’t have a car. At the end of our trip, we walked to the bus stop to get back to town. If you’re looking for peace and quiet, incredible views, a sense of space, this is the one. The cosiest cabin, and snowshoe walks you can take straight from the door. It’s not very far from a cross country ski track, so if you had xc skis you could reasonably get out on them. The walk up to the cabin is about 15 minutes if you’re a little unfit (like I am!) but it’s worth it for the extra elevation and views you get for it. Of course - one thing we were anxious not to miss were the Northern Lights and you can see these from the garden! We had a fantastic show for a couple of nights and could pop in and warm up while waiting for them to come out! If you want an authentic Norwegian cabin experience, a reasonable distance from Tromsø, this is it!

Do you look for a good break from the noisy city life and if you want to get in touch with the nature and live a basic countryside life? then this is absolutely the right place for that. Also, the polar lights there looked amazing and the Cabin offers un ultimate coziness. Oystein was really nice and helpful. We never waited long for his responses. I'd be happy to go there again.

Cheerful cabin in beautiful Lyngen

ElisendaRating, 5 stars1 month ago
Good location, if the sky is clear you see the Northern Lights from the house. Likely that the fireplace is not to be used and some room gets cold, there are many utensils in the kitchen, but some frying pan is missing. The house is very welcoming and the host responds right away. Please note that it is tricky to find where to throw the garbage.
