We loved this place so much, that we had to come back again weeks later! We wish we could stay every weekend! Check out Central Park Hotel in Benton for some really delicious food. Colonel Ricketts Hard Cider is also a great spot.

Very clean, new place. Easy access right off the highway, great for a stop on a long drive. Has own entrance, no shared indoor spaces. Parking right outside door. Comfortable and clean furnishings. Small outdoor space behind each unit, just FYI- not fenced though if you have a pet and connects to other unit's space. Def recommend if traveling though with dog(s)- so much better than dealing with hotels.

This was our family’s second stay of the year at Ponderosa. Camping next to the beautiful stream while enjoying simple pleasures like sitting around a fire pit, reading in the hammocks, playing board games and feeding the ducks was just the stress-free reset we needed. Joseph makes sure everything is set up for you so you can get straight to enjoying the good stuff. The fact that it’s close to Knoebels is a bonus, as we had a great time there. Both places are dog-friendly. We couldn’t ask for a better home away from home.

Beautiful house. Had an amazing stay at the house. Felt right at home, everything was clean and tidy! It was a nice place for kids and adults. The trail was a great addition for our experience at there.

The perfect cottage for a girls getaway to go antiquing. I've stayed in 4 Airbnb's this year and this home felt the most cozy and comfortable with live plants, cute pillows, and all the lovely decorations the are needed to prevent a cold, sterile environment. We greatly enjoyed the wood burning fireplace with 2 fires during our stay. The bathtub is fabulous and the kitchen was well equipped and clean. The front porch provides the perfect opportunity to enjoy the peacefulness of the creek and the occasional clickety clack of horse hoofs from an Amish horse and buggy. Lastly, a stay is only as good as the host's service. The electric power went out in the area and Brenda kindly delivered a cell phone charger, candles and kindling wood for our wood fire at 10 pm. We would most definitely stay here again.

I wish I could give more than 5 stars! This is our second visit to one of Mike’s homes. He is a fantastic host - extremely responsive, generous, and helpful. He includes so many extra touches and amenities. The quality of the home and what he provides far exceeds other Airbnbs. His instructions to find the home are very clear and detailed. The home is beautiful, clean, spacious and comfortable. The wooded setting right next to a creek is amazing. Even though it’s winter we made use of the marvelous outdoor spaces - including the large deck off of the living room, the backyard fire pit and Adirondack chairs, and the cozy balcony off the master bedroom. The setting is private, quiet and peaceful. The kitchen included absolutely everything we needed to cook meals. There are tons of extra sheets, towels and blankets. The beds were very comfortable. We loved that there were fresh flowers on the table and a real Christmas tree in the living room! You can even hike to the AT. Awesome place!

Patricia and Larry are one of the best hosts ever. The listing photos does not do this place enough justice. It was waaaay more beautiful in person. From the scenery to the cool knick knacks in the cabin, the whole stay was worth while. We are gatekeeping this place as it has become a place where my fiance and I made lasting memories. Coming back soon!!

this unique home is WONDERFUL; cozy, peaceful and full of light! even a rainy day can't dampen the views, the foggy vista was still serene and relaxing. claudio was a super responsive and attentive host and accommodated us doubling back after checkout to retrieve a forgotten item. would absolutely visit again and HIGHLY recommend the property and host!

The is beautiful well kept and right on the river. We were in to visit our son at Bucknell University. The house was so close to campus. We hope to return again soon.

This is our second time visiting the cottage. First when we had our son then 5 months. We loved how welcoming and quaint it was. Now with two boys, 3 and 1, we had to return again. The energy and embrace of the cottage has not changed. There were even improvements since we last stayed! The most surprising of all was how much our little ones were curious and intrigued by everything that could be accessible to them. All cabinets were a hit! The tranquility of the morning crisp air, watching the ducks enjoy their lake both frozen and melted was my personal highlight of each day.

I booked this cottage because we liked the pictures, location, and price. Dam Cottage is in the country, which was a beautiful view when it snowed 1/2 inch. There were 2 creeks we could listen to while outside as they were close to our cottage. Capt. Jim and Diana were excellent hosts, the cabin is loaded with things you typically forget to bring. Sitting in front of the fireplace and just talking (we never did turn on the TV) was so refreshing and cozy. We packed up some cheese, meats, and crackers and traveled to a nearby winery for lunch and then to Ricketts Glen to hike. Ricketts Glen is beautiful when there is snow and the waterfalls are frozen. We highly recommend booking this cottage. We may go back in the warmer weather and do some kayaking in the main stream at the Dam Cottage.
