Holiday rentals with beach access in Kópavogur

This was a great place to stay. Matthias and Rebekka are nice people, and the apartment looked just like the photos: modern, comfortable, clean, and quiet. Having a washer and dryer was a real bonus. It’s also a wonderful headquarters in Reykjavik … parking is right outside, it’s close to downtown, it’s near a great bakery, coffee shop, several burger shops and a convenience store. Plus, in one minute you can be on the main road out of the city to explore the many natural attractions surrounding Reykjavik. And as an added bonus it’s just a 4 – 5 minute stroll to one of the city’s great swimming pool/hot tub/sauna/steam room complexes. If it’s available, don’t hesitate to book their apartment. (PS … I found that parking in downtown Reykjavik was difficult …. not that many spaces and the parking “zones” were confusing to figure out. If you’re able to, just hop on one of the many electric scooters that are all around and you can be anywhere you want in Reykjavik in 5 minutes.)

Truly a gem just right outside of Reykjavík! It has the peace and quiet of a suburb while being only 15 minutes away from downtown. Sigrún was a wonderful host, super responsive and all-around very helpful. There was coffee and tea, and the baking sheets were pre-loaded with parchment paper, which is a small but appreciated detail! This is a wonderful place to stay if you plan on exploring Iceland or even just need a place close to Reykjavík for business travel!

Wonderful penthouse! I can’t believe they actually had an old school arcade set up in the condo with over 1000 vintage Atari games! So many unique items that make you feel right at home. The bathroom has a tub as well as a shower. There is a working room with an IMac. Living room and kitchen are very spacious. The views from the balcony lets you feel in the center of the city. You have views of the water, mountains, as well as the surrounding city. I would definitely recommend this place and would stay here again. The attention to detail is really impressive. They even have binoculars to view the mountains!

This apartment is sublime - we loved it - so warm and cosy, so beautiful and calm - a wonderful place for a retreat (and I kind of wish I lived there!). Tactile bare wood floors, whitewashed timber walls, and calm warm light. Hafnaforthur itself is truly beautiful (& we recommend Brikk bakery!!!) and a great stepping off point for Reykjavik, the Golden Circle and the Blue Lagoon. We went in the winter, and were grateful for the strong radiators and the wonderful hot baths. Soley and her family live in the apartment below, and Soley was easy to reach and communicate with as well as sending lots of thoughtful suggestions for both practical things like groceries, and adventures like whale watching. Soley also provides a wonderful range of products from her own skincare range which smell incredible, and made our stay a really sensory experience. We greeted the display of her lotions in duty-free like an old friend, and I would have brought the whole lot home if I could have afforded them!

We had a great stay at the apartment of Þórdís! The location was excellent for excursions with our rental car. The apartment is very bright and you have a great view on Kópavogur and the mountains. For us, the washer with dryer function was particularly useful. The new sofa is also very comfortable! The family is very friendly, we felt welcome there and would book the accommodation again.

We had a nice stay here in Reykjavík. Very straightforward check-in with clean and comfortable accommodations.

If you want to be bear the best part of Reykjavik and also on a quiet place, this is the spot. More than that, it's close to one of the main pickup locations for the main tours you must do in Iceland. Lovisa's place is clean, comfortable and make you feel home. Near good restaurants, supermarkets, grocery shops and near Reykjavik downtown. I definetly recommend it!

Bryndis and her family were wonderful hosts the place was close to some restaurants and the water. It is located in a peaceful section of Reykjavik and a great home base for activities around the capital. It is clean, spacious and the hosts were very responsive.

The environment is very good, the house is very cozy, everything is very complete, the communication with the host was very smooth, I will come again next time

Fantastic family accommodation. Beautiful views & stylish but practical interior. Lots for kids to do inside the house (for bad weather days!). Would highly recommend and we hope to stay there again if we come back to Iceland in the future!

We traveled with an infant and since no one was using the place the day before, Hildur allowed us to come straight from our flight! It was so incredibly nice of them and my daughter appreciated the opportunity to catch up on some sleep. Overall, the place is beautiful, spacious, and had an incredible review. I’d recommend this AirBnb to anyone!

We had such a great stay at Vive’s. Firstly, the house is exactly as described. All the rooms, and more Importantly the beds were super clean and very comfortable. The house is spacious and located in a very beautiful and serene neighborhood which is like a 5 to 7 min drive to downtown Reykjavik. We walked along the beautiful bay that’s literally right behind the house, and kids enjoyed playing at a cute playground right next to the bay. Vive had several nice toys which kept the kids entertained at home. The hot tub was great to spend late evenings with friends with a few drinks. Vive was super responsive and helped with any questions we had! I would definitely recommend her place and would stay here again when I come back again to Iceland!

Lovely views and in a nice quiet neighborhood that is close to town. We loved our stay and would return! Highly recommend!

We stayed wishing to catch the Northern Lights and we were lucky enough to do so each night and be there for a huge solar storm. We ventured out the first night and after that realized we were able to stay comfy at our airbnb and see them both in the front yard and backyard. The house was spacious and our children 7 & 1 loved the books and toys available. We were offered a portable crib and high chair which were convenient. There were plenty of novels for adults and a variety of books on Iceland. There is a washer and large drying rack, dishwasher, and full kitchen which was wonderful since it is a serene spot you can relax and not run down the road 15 minutes for food or coffee. I enjoyed walking the road to the church and admiring the horses next door. The location is remote and going to parks or the city required an hour drive. Our host was gracious and extended our check out which was helpful. Thank you for your hospitality.

Cozy and warm apartment, we spent a whole week here and felt right at home. The kitchen is well equipped for a longer stay, the bed is on the smaller side but very comfortable, it was perfect for a couple. The appartement is well heated, which was great after days of exploring in the cold (we even had temperatures of -19 degrees Celsius during our time in Iceland). The view is magnificent and we even got to see the Aurora from our window on New Year's Eve. All in all, we had a great stay and we definitely recommend this during winter.

Beautiful home, our host was very helpful! We got really lucky and were able to see the Northern lights near the beach the second night.

Eythor’s home is beautiful! 🤩. Love the artwork and decorations. He was very helpful with restaurant recommendations and very quick to respond. The home is located 10 minute walk to Perlan Museum in a quiet area with free street parking. Highly recommend!

The Harbor Apartment was perfect to visit Reykjavik. It’s clean, comfortably furnished, nicely decorated, and wonderfully warm and inviting on a cold January visit to Iceland. The location was unbeatable, just across the street from the scenic old harbor and near plenty of excellent restaurants and steps from a small market for your daily needs. The host provided voluminous tips on getting around and responded quickly with a work-around when we discovered that the Internet network listed in the check-in instructions was down. We would definitely stay here again. Just one small caveat for light sleepers—the bedroom window is located next to the ground floor elevator and you can occasionally hear the voices of people coming and going, or stomping the snow off their shoes before they get in the elevator.

From the moment we arrived it felt very comfortable amd spotlessly clean. Lovely little touches like wine and goodies on offer along with bathroom essentials should you forget any. Didn't make use of the hot tub as we were too busy but lovely quiet spot even though on walking path. You will need your own transport to stay here but the peacefulness made the visit. Salvor was always on hand should you need any advice but everything was already in place. When we visit again I would definitely stay again, beautiful country and beautiful home thank you Salvor

Beautiful new apartment near a bus station. Likewise, you can quickly reach the Skylagoon on foot and from there you can simply enjoy the northern lights. It was a very great apartment and I would book it again right away. 5/5

The place was clean, tidy and spacious! It is walking distance to the lovely Sky Lagoon. It is short driving distance to Reykjavik and other attractions. The host was very responsive and provided all the necessary information for a smooth check-in as well as some additional travel tips! We really enjoyed our stay here and would recommend!
