We booked Shana’s place and to be honest it exceeded our expectations. The location is pretty rural which is what we wanted and the street it is located on is well maintained you can tell everyone has pride of ownership and this place was no exception. Cottage was very purpose built and stocked from the hot tub to location of fan’s/ AC, lighting more than enough cooking supplies- abundant amount of pots and pans, utensils, rice cooker, crock pot etc. When we first arrived the kids were running around like a kid in a candy store, massage recliners in living room the outdoor kitchen with tv, hot tub and the closeness to the water… to admit me and the wife were doing the same. Hot tub nights, roasting marshmallows listening to the owls staring up at the stars with a daiquiri in the beautiful Lousiana swamp it doesn’t get much better. Can’t wait to come back in the summer!!! Book the experience now!

Enjoyed our girl's weekend there, and other than a few golf cart issues and hot tub issues, everything was wonderful!

My fiancé and I travelled from out of state to attend the Taylor swift concert. Staying anywhere near the venue was so expensive This place was a great price for what you get! It was about 40 minutes from the Superdome and about 50 mins from Bourbon street. It was a cute home! Beds were comfy. The bathroom was clean. Very big kitchen area too! Lisa was great! She was so easy to get ahold of. The pictures were very accurate and in my opinion it was almost better than what the pictures showed! We had a great stay! The District was so good too! Amazing drinks and food and you can walk there. We saw a Mexican restaurant right behind the District but did not go. It looked good though! The only thing I will say is besides those two places there was not much to do.

We stayed here during the '25 Snowpocalypse, and Christopher & Sarah were incredibly responsive and helpful with making sure everything went smoothly around the property! The cabin's insanely cool, and the whole site was a great little retreat from our usual crazy city life. We're looking forward to booking here again when it it's warm enough to swim & fish 🌞

Very nicely decorated, comfy beds, spacious and extremely clean. Had all that we needed and then some- We ranged in age from 9 months- 83- and everyone felt at home. Highly recommend for families traveling for weddings at The Oaks. Very convenient location.

This house was fantastic! It accommodated the whole family of 11 we had. It was clean and cozy. The host was very responsive and very quick. I would definitely stay there again!

We made the decision to rent a house for our annual trip to Hammond for Thanksgiving. It was one of the best decisions we ever made. The home is spacious, well appointed, and very comfortable. It is very close to the park and downtown.

We can’t say enough about our lively stay at the cottage. It is impeccably contained, clean and thoughtfully prepared for us with all the comforts you can imagine. The setting is idyllic, nestled in the woods on a quiet country lane with gorgeous native landscaping and even a swing in the trees. It’s clear why this home has been an escape for generations of families - it was homey and spacious, a perfect landing spot for my family while we visited with extended family in the area for Thanksgiving. Be aware if you’re not from here that the woods get VERY dark and it can be hard to see the turns. Miss Bobbie gave us wonderful directions and we really enjoyed learning about the special details of the home. Cannot wait to come back another time!

Unique location. Nice to be able to bring a pet. Felt like a home.

The apartment was clean, cozy and really adorable, the beds were extremely comfortable and the host was very helpful, I had to adjust my dates due to a storm in the area and she was extremely helpful and kind. She checked on me often and was a joy to deal with. I travel to the area a few times a year and look forward to renting her apartment again. Definitely would recommend 💕
