Beautiful bach. amazing views from the deck and kitchen/ living room. great space out front with table tennis and darts board. place was super clean and bedding was 10/10 comfortable. Justin also had great instructions and was easy to contact. would definitely stay again and recommend to people.

We enjoyed our stay there with our dogs. The sea view is stunning and this home is having all the facilities that makes your stay comfortable. Prefer to stay again here.

Beautiful tranquil surroundings, host was waiting for us on arrival—kindly made bread and had honey / tea/milk available for use. We had just arrived from overseas, and this was a great place to relax for myself / wife/2 kids. Nearby cafe had great food with a view. Stop in Whangarei for groceries if you’re sticking around for a few days.

Home away from home. Lovely surroundings, set off the road & private. Good sized bedrooms, big bathroom and separate toilet, spacious kitchen & great indoor outdoor flow. Kitchen had everything we needed, large fridge etc. Our kids also enjoyed having the area in front of the garage to bounce the Basketball. The place looks better than the photos.

We had a fantastic stay at Tonya gorgeous house. It was really well equipped and we found everything we needed. The location was perfect with a short walk into Russell. We loved it!

The place was as advertised in beautiful Ahipara. It had everything we needed. A great family location. Very friendly host that helped us a lot when we left some items behind. A great option for a beach style holiday.

Mabel's cottage is delightful so much history surrounding you ! Beautiful location , comfortable beds and lovely bed linen good towels. Richard supplies everyday items you would normally bring with you. As everyone else says the bread is something else as is the milk and wine ! If we did come again l would stay there !

We were heading right up the top of the North Island so Amanda’s place was convenient and we stayed a night to get closer to the cape before we headed back down to another town. It was private and very peaceful. The road a little bumpy but the place itself great! Thank you very much for the stay 😊

We were six couples who had a thoroughly enjoyable break from city life for 5 days. Used it as a base to do day trips to go fishing, trip to Cape Reinga and Kerikeri. Big comfortable home and friendly responsive host

A delightful quiet rural property away from the rush of traffic on SH 1, yet only moments to go down the drive and rejoin it. Great location for stopping on a North/South trip. Anthony was the consummate host also, the fresh fruit from your trees was added bonus. Yummy. We all loved the massive grove of trees at the rear of the property so many birds to watch. Thank you Anthony and Dianne for sharing this wonderful spot.

The place was beyond amazing, perfect for a relaxing and fun time with family or friends with all the activities available, and also not too far from town which has everything you need in terms of supplies for your stay. The entire property was very tidy when we got there, and it was easy to figure everything out with the house manual, and if we had anymore questions, Rodd was extremely helpful and quick with his responses. 100% recommend to anyone looking to stay at a quiet place near the Bay of Islands, was fantastic.

The cottage has a gorgeous view - such a treat to wake up to it every morning. Really spacious and ideal for a couple. Short drive away from some amazing beaches. Thank you, Kathy!

We loved our stay at Joanne's. It was such a welcome, peaceful place to rest the day/night with our beloved family dog. Highly recommended!

We came up from Auckland for a wedding & the property was local to everything The property was great and both Rob & his wife were lovely. We barely seen them so we decided to go say hello down at their Phat House bar in haruru. We had a couple of nephews come and visit while we were up aswell . Catching up with whanau and coming back to relax there was lovely .

This is very nice place to stay. A quiet area with some good walks. My situation was a little different as I wasn't on holiday and wanted somewhere quiet and reasonably close to the hospital where I was visiting my husband each day. The property is off the road and there are auto gates. As I was on my own this made me feel very safe - on top of which Genevieve was in the main house a lot of the day. It was comfortable and cosy (given my stay was during the winter) and Genevieve and her husband went out of their way to make sure I was comfortable. Thoroughly recommend and if I ever need to be in Whangarei for any length of time I hope I can use this accommodation again.

We had a lovely 5 night stay here. A very cute kiwi Bach, with superb views. A short walk down easy stairs to the beach was an added bonus. The Bach is set back from the road so was very quiet and peaceful. 😊

Comfortable, spacious, well-equipped, and right on the beach. Claire’s place is lovely and everything you could want on a beach holiday. We’ll be back!

My husband and I were able to book Henry's Beach Bum place last minute and it was perfect! If you're heading to the top of NZ and want to stop along the way, this is the place. Welcomed by Henry himself (who is the most friendly and welcoming human possible) and his three adorable labs (who are the sweetest & cutest), this place was so quaint and remarkable. We wished we could have stayed multiple days, but we were just passing through. Being able to walk out the doors to the beach was so peaceful! This place gives you privacy, the ability to have beach access, cook for yourself and feel like you're at your own little oasis. Definitely a must stay while in this part of NZ!

We loved staying here because of the facilities, outlook, and the openness of the living area. All the benefits of camping with the positives of being in a house! It is an amazing place with some really well thought-out touches such as the solar lamps, compost bin, recycling, outdoor washing-up area, extra space for parking, and the hammock. Sarah is a thoughtful and helpful host; she suggested places to visit, including the Butler Point Whaling Museum and Rangikapiti Pā, which were highlights of the trip.

Cool space, great beach access, incredible beach views...like Sittin On The Dock of the Bay...watching the Tide roll away. Small gas Weber grill on the deck for easy creative cooking.

What an amazing find - so peaceful and beautiful. We sat out on the deck for hours, soaking up the view and listening to the birds, trying to spot them occasionally. The approach is up a long gravel road, but the house was easy to find, and well worth the journey. We really felt that we were away from it all.
