I decided to stay here last minute in NYE because I don't like bring in the city when everyone lights fire. This place was an absolute treat especially for the last minute reservations. It was so quiet and peaceful. The free roaming animals are really cool and they let my 2 dogs have an entire fence in field to run in during our stay. The restaurants are close but far enough to make this place "in the niddle of nowhere." My daughter and I really enjoyed the horses, birds and goats. It was such a busy day but so refreshing and a great way to start our New Year. My 13 year old and I decided this is our go-to when we want to get away in the future.

The pictures can't do justice to how well appointed and spacious the red barn is. The host made sure we had everything needed to enjoy our stay. A real treasure that we plan to visit again.

Good furniture, comfortable bed, and a very sweet, beautiful, friendly cat that loves everyone makes a person feel at home in the very peaceful setting you will find yourself in. A very relaxing atmosphere

I can't say enough about Vicky And Micky, they were fabulous! We did the tour and the horse back riding and we even decided to do the dinner. Everything they are doing that farm is amazing and all non-profit to help save animals. If you're hesitant about dinner and price looks too much, DON'T BE! We were hesitant but they sincerely out did themselves. They have a culinary background and wowed us from beginning to end, it absolutely worth every penny! They know what they're doing in kitchen and tailored everything to our likes. It was such a relaxing weekend to get way, very nice place.

My family enjoyed the stay at poco loco ranch. The kids enjoyed everything from the cows,the hiking area,the pool they LOVED the game room. Poco Loco Ranch is a Great place to visit with family there is so much to do.

Perfect spot, perfect hosts, perfect stay. Our month-long experience at Home Away From Home Ranch was nothing short of magical and far surpassed our high expectations. THE CABIN: The cabin space is adorable. It is decorated with a rustic/out west vibe and has everything you need! The full kitchen is well equipped, Bathroom is clean and more spacious than anticipated, main bedroom has excellent wardrobe storage, and full mattress in loft space would be perfect for children. There is also good internet, a nice desk and large table for WFH or Zoom school. THE RANCH: HAFHR is heaven on earth! Friendly goats, donkeys, pups, turkeys, chickens, a pig named Bubba and more will roam right up to your cabin and interact with you. The cabins are spaced out enough for ample privacy and there is parking space galore. The paddocks are picturesque. With so many activity options, this place could never get boring. Do not skip the Exotic Bird Adventure — getting to interact personally with rare and endangered birds in their certified wildlife preserve is amazing, and the surprise at the end is fun for anyone of any age. The activity prices are fair for what you are getting and the activities are filled with thoughtful, personal touches. I wish I could live here 24/7, no kidding. This place is amazing. THE HOSTS: Micky and Vicky might just be the best hosts in the world. Trained at the world-famous Le Cordon Bleu in France, Vicky is nothing short of a master chef! She will completely personalize a meal for you, from everything from drinks to dessert. I am vegan and my boyfriend is not — she expertly navigated culinary creations that delighted us both. She takes all of your favorite things and truly creates a labor of love — the meals Vicky prepared us were some of the best of our lives. Come hungry — you will NOT want to miss her cooking!!!! (If you like Mexican food, absolutely do not pass on the chance for a home cooked authentic Mexican dinner, which was — no exaggeration — the best Mexican food of both of our lives, hands down. I am still dreaming about it.) Vicky is bubbly, thoughtful, and fantastic at what she does. As for Micky — as a full on cowboy, sharp shooter, horseback riding survivalist expert with an affinity for rare and endangered birds (one of whom can be pretty much constantly found on his shoulder, even while he is on a galloping horse...), Micky is pretty much the Most Interesting Man in the World. He is an exceptional teacher for horseback riding, shooting, animal interaction, survival classes and more. He is so full of energy and positivity! Vicky and Micky are two of the most charming and caring people on the planet. They took care of us through the winter weather crisis in Texas and always went beyond the extra mile. I cannot possibly say enough good things about these two. This is the spot you have been looking for! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Accommodations were clean and comfortable. They have a great thing going with rescue animals and birds. Micky took us on a tour and told us heart warming stories how they adopted these animals. This was an “experience “ and not typical Airbnb accommodations! Highly recommend!

It was really the outdoors! It was a unique experience upon arrival. Vicky and micky both accommodated my needs and we’re super helpful. Love this place!

I can't say enough great things about Micky and Vicky. They were awesome from start to finish. The day before our stay we found out that the original cabin that we booked had been accidentally double booked. We had originally booked a two bedroom cabin for my wife and I and another couple. Micky and Vicky called us and said that, due to the double booking, they were going to put us in two other cabins. One for my wife and I and one for the other couple. When we arrived and saw that those two cabins were too small for us we called Micky and Vicky. Understanding our problem the quickly offered to trade with us. Micky and Vicky would stay in the small cabin, and they allowed us and our friends to stay in their private 3 bedroom residence. That's right. They allowed us to stay in their own private residence while they loaded up their animals and personal belongings to move to the small cabin during our entire stay. How's that for customer service. They were absolutely the best hosts ever.

We absolutely loved our stay at the farmhouse! Our hosts were kind and good communicators. It was the perfect space for my family while traveling to TX to see more family. Will definitely book again.

A wonderful location outside of Fredericksburg. You’re definitely out in the country, but not too far away from town if you need something. A lovely spot to relax and watch the stars. Highly recommend!

This was a great find at the last minute. Only needed one night and they accommodate that especially for a great price ! Close to town but away from hustle and bustle. I will return whenever in area :)

This well appointed Air BNB close to downtown Boerne was amazing. private with a large yard and front/back decks for relaxing in the sun. The walk to town and to the river pathwas quick and along sidewalks. The house lends itself well to multigenerational or two family visits. The large back room has three beds and its own bathroom and the front bedroom has easy access to the other full bathroom. The kitchen was well stocked with everything you need to cook your own meal with high quality pans and a variety of spices/ baking staples. We stayed in the large room with an infant and toddler while my inlaws took the other bedroom The TV is connected to a variety of streaming services, including Disney and the wifi was reliable. All in all this place was amazing and I highly reccomend it!

What a great house. As everyone else says, I wish we’d have stayed longer. It’s out in the countryside, very peaceful, but you have the Tejas Rodeo and Sprechts store close by. The house itself is great, very spacious, huge comfortable beds, lots of bathrooms, great kitchen. It has a porch with chairs, a bbq area, and lots of space to explore if you want to. We met John and had a good chat with him, very friendly guy. Really interesting learning about the house and how it’s been developed. Cannot recommend the place enough. Felt like we were experiencing ‘real’ Texas. Nice atmos all round, really. Book it!

Amazing place!! Perfect for a peaceful retreat while still having restaurants and supermarkets 5min away. The mini horses are so beautiful! My kids loved them. The house is perfect for a restful getaway, it has everything you need. Yaya is an excellent host, super friendly and super quick responses to all of our questions! Will definitely come back!

The Nerds and the Bees cabin is a beautiful place to stay and unwind. Sitting on the deck at night, with the stars and the moon - it was so peaceful and quiet. The bed upstairs is very comfortable, we fell right to sleep. In the morning, my husband and I enjoyed coffee on the porch listening to the deer running around and the birds in the trees. Elizabeth is the perfect hostess, evident in the care taken to create an inviting space for her guests and provide the amenities one would not usually anticipate at an airbnb, like fresh honey. It was delicious. We will definitely look to book her cabin again.

This was a wonderful place to stay! Our children loved the animals and it was a beautiful blessing in the Hill Country. John and Amy were great to work with every step of the way. Hope to come back!

Beautiful views and peaceful surroundings. The house is very clean and has plenty of room for a family of 4 to enjoy. The backyard and deck give a stunning panoramic view of the hill country and wildlife. Everything was perfect. We enjoyed our stay very much.

This is an amazing space for any gathering. We held a Celebration of Life here and the animals kept all of the kiddos busy while the adults shared stories together. Heath was responsive and showed some of the kids how to feed the animals, which was a great start to our morning! Highly recommend. We had a blast hanging out with the donkeys and feeding the baby white buffalo! Really cool for Heath to share this beautiful little farm with others!

this place was a real haven for us during the holidays when we went to visit our son and his family. It was so peaceful and out in the country so was quiet and natural. Melissa helped us with a special request and she was so responsive to messages.
