Holiday rentals with lake access in Kenai Peninsula Borough

Kathy's is the ideal spot for folks who want to be close, but not too, to downtown for its activities and dining etc. We enjoyed at the end of the day, sitting on her deck and just watching the lake and mountains. Clean and well kept, the house is very livable. We'll certainly look to see if Kathy's is available when next we visit Anchorage.

We had an amazing time staying at this cabin in Homer, AK! It was absolutely perfect for us—quiet, cozy, and close to town but far enough away to escape the hustle and bustle. The view of the mountains from the front porch was breathtaking, and we were even lucky enough to spot a moose in the neighborhood! The cabin itself was impeccably cared for, with everything feeling new and thoughtfully designed. Although we didn’t use the upstairs room, it would be perfect if you’re traveling with one or two kids. You can really tell that a lot of love and attention went into making this cabin a welcoming and comfortable retreat. We highly recommend it for anyone looking to enjoy a peaceful and scenic stay in Homer!

Our family of 4 (2 teenage boys) stayed here for 2 nights. It’s a lovely home full of entertaining amenities. Very spacious with everything we needed and more. Our boys loved the loft area with its comfy seating and cozy reading nook. Lots of games, DVDs, etc. The hot tub and wood burning fire place were perfect after a long day of fishing. We’d definitely stay there again and highly recommend!

We stayed here for our honeymoon and it was absolutely perfect! It snowed and we got to see a moose and her baby (from safely within the cabin) we visited Captain Cook State Park, just minutes away, and walked along the beach, with a view of the mountains and got to see a few bald eagles! I would stay here again and would highly recommend. The cabin was fully stocked and made us feel right at home.

We really enjoyed the coziness and the spaciousness, and the availability of entertainment for relaxing and unwinding.

Amber is a great host! The house was clean and very comfortable for a group of 4. Amber went above and beyond even letting us use a personal cooler for our lunches during the day while fishing. A couple of our guys did complain about how uncomfortable a couple of the beds where. But they made it work. Overall a great experience and again Amber is an exceptional host! We will be back.

This apartment was exactly what we needed for visiting my son who was working at the school. The town and its people were amazing.

Great last minute spot that I booked. The view of the lake is beautiful and watching the planes take off and land. Only thing I didn’t account for was how loud these little planes are especially when they’re taking off at 6:30am. If you want to sleep in just keep that in mind. I would stay here again though.

If Alyeska is booked up or priced out of your range, consider a weekend at Peaceful Inlet Sanctuary. Peaceful, clean, scenic, and comes with a private hot tub. Check-in was easy, space was clean, hot tub...hot! It may become an annual trek across town to unwind and listen to the wind and the occasional airplane.

My partner and I were looking for a weekend away from the kids..we absolutely got our moneys worth here. Clean, tidy place with the most comfy bed. The bathroom is the cherry on top with the jacuzzi tub. Easy to find location, it's minutes to entertainment and dining.

Our stay at Dan’s place was absolutely wonderful! The apartment was spotless and well-maintained, with thoughtful touches that made it feel like home. The location was incredibly convenient, with easy access to downtown and local attractions. But what really made our stay stand out was Dan’s exceptional hospitality. This is a great find in an excellent location within walking distance to Sand Lake. The open concept is very comfortable and there are a lot windows with tons of light pouring in. It was extremely clean and well furnished for 2 or 3 people. Ryan was very accommodating with special requests. There was a little road noise but it didn't bother us at all. We will definitely return to our little Hideaway!

What a wonderful m, relaxing stay! We enjoyed relaxing and watching the mountains and ocean come in and out of view through the fog and clouds. We saw a moose and what looked like a fox out the window. The cabin is so cozy and easily slept our group of 3 comfortably. The beds are amazing! We were happy to arrive to some food in the fridge and snacks on the countertop. What a treat! I would love to come back.

Pauline is an amazing host! She was able to facilitate a last-minute stay and went to extra effort to sand the driveway and prep a fire for the sauna. Very quiet, beautiful property in Kasilof.
