Family-friendly holiday rentals in Kaanapali

The place is wonderful and fully stocked with things needed for cooking. We whale watched from patio and pool area. The beach is all rock and no swimming there. You are on a busy road slow speed limits but may be unsafe for families with kids. We walked some but did get ubers and lyft mostly. Don’t rent a car as very expensive.

The location was good for us with easy access to the beach and other island sites. House is well stocked with kitchen accessories, beach going toys, towels, chairs, boogie boards, etc. Owners were responsive and communicated well. House was spacious and met our needs.

We loved it, and feel it was accurately portrayed. Our only big issue was made by God, but should have been noted either insight or in the arrival information. We experienced a high winds, flash flood filled night, which filled our rental with water and mud, and the entire area with inches and feet in some places of mud. Here is why it should noted: Two separate tenants told us they had lost 3 cars from this happening. That is 6 cars. And the Fast Towing driver said yep, they get hit every time. Had I known in advance it was a possibility, I would have parked somewhere not in harms way. The reason for all the mud is the construction directly behind the Kihei Bay Vista area, which is only in the acres of dirt phase. That’s why we were hit so hard. And all the mud was deposited. The residents were all so quick to start shoveling walkways for everyone. And you could tell why it is suck a beautiful place, they care and take pride in everything. The pool pictures don’t do it justice!

We loved our stay at Heather's home. It was beautiful and very comfortable and the view of the ocean and golf course was really nice. The location was great too, very nice neighborhood! The pool and hot tub areas was a really nice bonus too! We would love to stay at Heather's again on a future visit! Thank you Heather! Robin

We had a great stay at Kihei Bay Surf. We were right across the street from the beach, but when it got too windy, we also had pool access which was very nice. The road was a bit busy, but ultimately not too bad. For those guests that like to cook from their stays (like we do) we found the kitchen well equipped, though you may want to plan ahead regarding seasonings and condiments, etc. There are also a lot of great restaurants nearby (Karen's recommendations were all excellent!) We had a great time at this condo. Looked just as it was pictured in the listing. It was nice that there were beach chairs and a cooler to use. Great restaurants nearby and the beach was just a short walk away. Tamsen was very kind and checked in on us during our stay. Couldn’t ask for more!

My husband and I had a positive experience staying at this condo. Communication with the hosts was excellent—they were attentive, helpful, and genuinely caring throughout our stay. While we did encounter a mix-up at check-in, as the condo was still being cleaned when we arrived, the hosts handled the situation with professionalism and kindness. Once the condo was ready, it was spotless, cozy, and perfect for our needs. Our baby, who had been cranky after the flight, settled down and slept all night, and we all enjoyed a very comfortable stay. Despite the initial hiccup, the experience was great, thanks to the hosts’ dedication to ensuring we had a pleasant visit. We would happily recommend this Airbnb and would stay here again!

I highly recommend this property for your next stay in Maui. It was easy to find, within walking distance of great shops and restaurants and within a block's throw of the ocean. Parking is a little tricky, so I recommend renting a smaller car, but having a mystery car that ended up on the larger size, I was still able to make it work. Her place is decorated simply and beautifully with scenes from the ocean/beach. Her place is clean, comfortable, and cozy. For my next stay in Maui, I will be checking to see if her place is available.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. There were 3 of us and the configuration worked out beautifully. We had everything we needed and the kitchen was great for us. We were able to walk, take the trolley or Uber everywhere we went. The beach here is beautiful. The view was amazing and we would def stay here again.

Our four-night stay for my niece’s wedding was perfect! This beautiful townhouse had everything you could possibly need—just like living in a home away from home. The breathtaking ocean views, lush gardens, and spacious layout made it feel like a dream. The three bathrooms were a huge plus, and the location in Wailea felt incredibly safe, which gave us peace of mind. On top of that, the host was incredibly responsive and made everything seamless. We only wish we could have stayed longer! Highly recommend!

Mark's description of the place was exactly as delivered. Its a self service property, a wonderful one! We had the privacy we needed with our little one and Mark was available to answer any questions or help with anything we needed throughout our stay. We will certainly stay here again and highly recommend it!

Kula Jewel is one of the most beautiful places I have ever stayed in Maui. The house is beautifully appointed with gorgeous views. Incredibly clean, comfortable beds, well appointed kitchen, and private pool/hot tub make this truly an oasis. Pamela is incredibly kind, attentive, and responsive. 5 stars!

The guesthouse was perfect for our family of 4 (2 adults, 2 teens) after arriving from an evening flight. Check in was easy and everything was as described. We didn’t use the kitchen amenities since we stayed just one night, so I cannot comment on the kitchen set-up. Beds were comfortable and bathrooms were nice and clean. The guest house is walkable to nice coffee shops, breakfast and more. It is a very short (less than a couple miles from Iao Valley State Monument) so that was a nice way to start the morning. Host was very responsive and all directions were really clear. Guesthouse was clean and comfortable, a little on the pricier side for the stay/value, but higher prices are to be expected in Hawaii.

We really loved our stay here. the villa itself was perfect and super clean, had everything we needed, and the area and pool were great. really peaceful place, exactly what we needed. excellent hosts, respond quickly and very helpful. Location is great, close to amazing beaches and walking distance to amazing food. we travelled all over Maui and this was our favourite place of all. perfect for exploring Kihei and surroundings Next time we come to Maui, we are coming straight back here. Clean & Simple! Everything you need for a comfortable stay. The location could not be any better, perfect walking distance from Kihei night life and multiple beach fronts to choose from!

Great place beach was right across we would go watch the sunrise every morning and Betty and her husband were very helpful with an issue we had and was very responsive. Great place to stay restaurant right next door is an amazing sushi restaurant and the market down the street is great.

we had a wonderful time at carolyn’s place! the location was right near all kinds of great restaurants and right across the street from the beach! we could walk to everything we wanted to do in the area and we always felt very safe in the area. the condo was clean and spacious with a pool and a great porch we watched the sunrise from in the morning. we would highly recommend this place to anyone wanting to enjoy kihei!

Perfect location, just a short walk to the beach and quick drives to great restaurants. Yvonne and William were incredibly welcoming and made our stay even more enjoyable. The condo was spotless and had all the amenities and utensils we needed. The balcony views were absolutely stunning!

Exactly as pictured and described. Perfect location, with short walk to the beach, walking distance from shops and restaurants, and fully stocked. Beach closet had everything we needed and more: beach chairs, umbrella, coolers, pails and shovels for sand castles and even water shoes. Kitchen was nicely stocked with pots, dishes, cups, and lots of plastic containers for food storage. We had a great visit!

Wonderful stay. The host was magnificent, everything as described. Communication was far better than most. Home was very clean and comfortable. Loved having 2 bedrooms and 2 baths. Very central to all of our activities and walking distance to great snorkeling, food, and shops. Perfect place to stay for active families.

Rented this place for a Thanksgiving family vacation. Extremely grateful to be here, loved it! Robyn was very communicative and addressed all our needs promptly. The pool also was great for kids it’s just steps away!
