My family of 5 traveled to Galena over Thanksgiving and stayed in this home. It was very comfortable and clean, and my family had a wonderful visit. Everything in the home was as described, and Stephen was quick to respond to any questions that I had. The town is charming, and quaint. We went on a ghost tour, shopped downtown and went to Grant’s home. We would 100% stay at Stephen’s place again if we ever go back to Galena!

What a great place and great hosts! Nice of Don to share history of the place. One of the best stocked places we've stayed. Also very clean with plenty of bedding and towels! The barn located behind is wonderful--great pizza, great beers and plenty of room. Truly one of the best places we've stayed.

Great price for a lovely weekend. Group of ten were comfortable and had plenty of privacy. We went for the balloon festival which we could see from the yard. Plenty of towels for hot tub. Thank you!

Beautiful house in a beautiful area.

The Merry Mansion was perfect for our family; we had several people staying, but were able to host some additional local family members for meals - a huge kitchen provided plenty of space for meal preparation and the two dining rooms provided more than ample space for enjoying our home-cooked meals together. The decor is lovely and there was plenty of space for privacy in bedrooms or socializing in the two living rooms. It is conveniently located to both Dubuque and Galena and walkable to establishments in East Dubuque. Corey was wonderful, a proactive communicator and very responsive to questions; he was available at check-in to provide a very helpful tour of the mansion, as well. We will be back again for another Christmas celebration!

Overall we were very pleased. The home was very clean, there were instructions posted throughout and the location was great. We did have a few issues connecting to the WiFi but my husband was able to figure it out with Peggy’s husband. We would stay here again.

Great Weekend. Really enjoyed the peaceful surroundings. Went on a few nice walks in the countryside. Cozy evenings watching movies by the fire, visiting Galena and Apple Canyon was fun. The place is really nice for 2. The upstairs bedroom was quiet at night and the sun beaming in in the morning was a nice way to start the day. Downstairs, the living space is cozy and warm. In the front bedroom we could hear the people in the unit downstairs, and I'm sure they could probably hear us, so we kept that door closed which seemed to help.

Great stay overall! Condo matched description, had space as described, and was perfect for our stay. The local area was beautiful and we enjoyed the territory amenities during our visit.

My family and I had a wonderful weekend staying here. We all had our own space and the house was beautifully built. Very secluded and private. About 10 minute drive to downtown where it’s great for shopping and eating! Highly recommend!

This is a beautiful home with plenty of space. We loved that each bedroom had its own bath. my wife and I really enjoyed the large master suite with a king bed. The property had a hot tub and pool table, both of which the young adults in our group were able to enjoy. There was also a nice firepit. Unfortunately it was pretty cold for us to make much use of it. The home offered plenty of privacy with no neighbors behind and plenty of space on the side.

The home is nice, and the views are absolutely amazing. It was a bit tricky to find since Google Maps didn’t point directly to the location, but check-in was super easy once we arrived. The home itself was comfortable, and the pool table was a fun bonus that we really enjoyed. That said, it could have been a little cleaner, and a few essentials were missing, but overall, it was a good stay.

The place was perfect. Everything was as described. Very clean and comfortable. Lovely settling and very relaxing, plus anything you could need was provided. The guest book was very informative. Quick ride to downtown. I will definitely check in to renting this spot again on my next visit in the near future. I’d love to stay again, it was so cozy I hated to leave! Gingers place was absolutely gorgeous! Had everything we needed and more. I would highly recommend to anyone. I cant wait to go back.

This is the 2nd time I booked Laurie's place, so you know we were pleased the first time. It didn't disappoint. Last time was for our son's wedding, this time was for our future daughter-in-law's girls' weekend. House was perfect for hanging out, close to downtown for shopping and a night out.

This was a great location. Very cute home. Its is probably one of the most well equipped and furnished homes I have stayed in. Lots of kitchen utensils. The basement bed was super comfortable. Will definitely try to stay here again.
