Holiday houses in Island Bay

we requested to stay at Marie's home at last minute.. having a previous request declined due to lack of notice . Marie responded very quickly wich we were most great full for. so thank you so much for taking us in at last minute 🙏 The home .. its a beautiful cosey little cottage nestled below a hill with amazing bird life .. across the road a beautiful rocky beach wich we swam in daily .. the home had all we needed . we did not want to leave this little piece of paradise . 3 days was not long enough . the fish in ship over the hill had the best fish n chips . the neighbors are so friendly. highly recommend Marie's little cottage .

Fiona's place was perfect for the one night we were there. Everything was new and the stocked kitchen was really really handy! As said in other reviews, the noise from the road is really loud, so if you are a light sleeper. . . . definitely bring earplugs and maybe also have some white noise sounds or an app to play like we did. She did have a fan in the room which helped to drown out the traffic sounds, but you are right next to a motorway so it can be quite loud. Other than that it was a really nice little self contained unit.

A great place for our family to meet. Lisa was helpful with adjusting our booking requirements. The kids enjoyed the grass area. Very handy to have the bakery next door and cafe just down the road

amazing house, great for families and has absolutely everything and beds were super comfy. Pete was amazing with communication and very thoughtful. he was definitely the best host I've dealt with on my travels.

We had a wonderful refreshing stay at Danielle's home. Everything was spotlessly clean and well appointed. Every room had large picture frame windows looking out onto the most amazing immediate view of community enjoying the beach in all manner of ways. We loved staying at Danielle's home it was a real highlight.

Liem and Selena are great hosts - very responsive, friendly, and always available if you need anything. The place is spacious, cozy and comfortable, with everything necessary, you instantly feel like home. There’s also an amazing, quiet garden, perfect for enjoying breakfast! And if it’s rainy there’s a nice sunroom to enjoy the garden view! I genuinely enjoyed staying there and would definitely recommend it:)

Not only is the home beautiful, peaceful, and close to plenty of hikes and restaurants, Tāne is a spectacular host. He welcomed us when we arrived and was always responsive. We he had to pop in for the occasional bit of maintenance, he was always kind enough to work around my daughter’s nap schedule. The location is great— 20 walk down to the Brooklyn Shops (3 min drive), bus stop just down the street, and accessible to a number of hiking trails. The street itself is less densely packed than the rest of Brooklyn and there is off-street parking, which I’ve discovered is a rarity here! You can’t beat the view— harbor AND ocean. The house was comfortable and clean and had everything we needed. We couldn’t have picked a better place to land as we started our new life in Welly!
