I'll explain how to prepare it and will share with you some stories around that traditional dish. The day starts at our meeting point and then we will be heading to the Valley. For the drive we will do a loop around the valley to better see and enjoy all the different landscapes, first driving through the N323 with all the astonishing viewpoints of the valley and where we have the first stop, a small winery from a local producer to try his regular wines (reds and whites from the region) and olive oil. The second stop is at Pinhão for a typical Portuguese lunch at a local tavern with great options for Vegans and Vegetarians. Still in Pinhão, we have a 1-hour mini-cruise in a typical Rabelo boat along the astonishing Douro River with the Valley as a background view (the boat cruise is shared with other groups). The journey will continue through the National Road 222, one of the most iconic roads in Portugal, winner of the "World's Best Driving Road Award", which will take us to the second winery for more tasting, parings and story tales from the wineries owners. After that, we will return to Porto and arrive to Porto at around 6:00 PM.

What you are about to discover is the result of 15 years in the making. I wanted this experience to be nothing short of EPIC. I will take you to what I consider the top 4 locations to visit in Valencia in ONE AMAZING EPIC DAY! During the trip we will visit waterfalls, swim in a natural thermal spring lagoon (25C year round), water caves, canyons, and a few surprises along the way. It is not too extreme or strenuous as we move to the different locations with the minivan. Let’s call it a glamventure day :) This is NOT a hiking day. This tour is suited for almost everyone. Fit or not, young or more experienced ;-) I will guide you to get close to the massive waterfall, swim at the thermal springs and really almost whatever you are up to. If you are not so active, all the locations are perfect for chilling, taking amazing pictures and just enjoy a perfect day in the nature with fellow travellers. Of course there are nice stops to have local food and drinks. This experience is perfect for couples, group of friends, families, hen/stag dos and solo travellers.

This experience is for those who wish to discover an authentic Spanish Leathercraft Workshop and learn how to make their own Leather items. I will show the participants the use of the tools used for Leathercraft, many of which havent changed since medievil times. I will also introduce them to the variety of different kinds of leather that exist. Each participant will have the opportunity to use real Spanish Cowhide to create a Leather item with their own hands. In the workshop the participants can choose between a pretty travelling purse (with or without a strap), an original belt, a wallet, two different purses or braided bracelets. There is also the opcion of making a piece different from these which will be designed in the act...maybe something one always wanted to make....a handbag, a mobile phone case, a belt pouch ....if this is the case the teacher should be informed beforehand. Each piece will be unique as we will use technique such as stamping or embossing to decorate it. These techniques were introduced by the Moors hundreds of years ago and have a long tradition in Spanish Leathercraft. There will not be many of us in the worshop so we have the chance to get to know eachother without hurry. For those who dont speak Spanish I speak perfect English as I am originally from Ireland. Other things to note We will be using cutter knifes at one stage of the experience although for those who prefer the Handcraftsman will do the cutting.
