Holiday rentals with a fire pit in Iberia Parish

Decided on a whim to drive down to Louisiana’s Bayou Teche area for the first time to partake in the annual Eagle Expo and birder activities. I love staying in historical homes and hotels when I travel, and luckily this beautiful find happened to be available. Charles was so welcoming from the start! He shared fascinating historical facts and stories about the property and its various art pieces (some he actually created himself) as he gave me a thorough tour. Afterward he even offered to show me a great spot for bird watching and took the time to personally escort me there, all the while filling me in on interesting childhood memories from growing up in the surrounding area. Later that evening, Charles and his partner attended the opening birds of prey event on my suggestion, and we sat together and enjoyed the show. I felt like I made two wonderful friends that I will drive back to visit soon. I highly recommend staying in Charles’ incredible house, esp if you love birds/art/history!

Jake was a great host, any questions we had his responses were quick. Jake wentnout of his way to make sure we were comfortable, great guy!!

Jessica's place was just what we needed for the weekend. We had a great time with family that visited for the Super Bowl. Her husband came right over to make sure the TV outside was working for us to enjoy the game on such a beautiful day in Louisiana. Jessica was always responsive and friendly. The home is beautiful! Everything was just like the pictures and we will definitely be back again!!!

I had an absolutely wonderful experience staying at this charming home! Corrine was incredibly responsive and kind from the moment I made my booking. She went above and beyond to make sure I had everything I needed, and her hospitality truly made the stay special. The house itself was spotless and so well-maintained, with a fantastic historic vibe that made it feel warm and welcoming. I honestly couldn’t have asked for a better host or a more lovely place to stay. Highly recommend!

I definitely needed this quiet gateway. It’s truly is a beautiful property. I love the charm of the cabin feel. I felt like I was in my own island and that is what I was seeking. The design is so cute and the Cajun charm. I love the beautiful heart on the tree as I was walking around exploring the property. The vibes the property gives are secluded and tranquility at its finest. Really good place for reflection and meditation for restarting yourself back to center. The host Amy was very nice with responding to my questions. I appreciated her letting me arrive early. I did feel very welcome and I appreciated the snacks and drinks. I would stay here again. It’s really an Introvert Paradise when you need some alone time just to breathe and focus on yourself. I love seeing the cows 🐄 and hearing them moo 🐮. Love animals and being around all the time. My husband and I plus our little dog stayed at “Over Yonder.” It surpassed my expectations. I have stayed at several Airbnb’s before but none as well stocked with wonderful items. The house is darling and beautifully decorated. It was a cinch to get into the house. The house has a huge backyard to walk around and a great fire pit. There is also a ton of restaurants within 3 to 5 miles. We ate at several and the food was delicious. There is a well equipped kitchen and I actually cooked Christmas dinner! I will definitely stay there again. Montane was quick to answer any questions that we had and was a kind and gracious host!
