Holiday houses in Hurworth-on-Tees

Yvonne was very quick to respond to all communication. The place was very clean and well equipped. the living room is comfortable and it is nice to have some outside space. It is within easy walking distance of the village centre and you can walk from the house directly into the countryside. The only downside is the street can be congested for parking, although we have been able to park close by if not directly outside the house each time we have gone out.

We had a lovely stay in a truly beautiful cottage - perfect for family’s. The garden - front and back - are perfect for a dog to run off some energy. The cottage is so cosy and comfortable - excellent kitchen with everything you could possibly need - and Ed and Caroline were really. The village of Carlton is peaceful and unspoilt - the Forresters Arms is a great local pub and the meal we had was first class. There are so many lovely walks to explore from the front door - Ed and Caroline provide maps and loads of suggestions for days out. We’d recommend a trip Middleham Castle which has amazing views from the top and it’s a great village to stop and have a coffee while watching the race horses go by. Elm Tree Cottage is a really great spot for a break no matter the weather.

We stayed at this lovely cottage over Christmas, and it was perfect. Clean, cozy, and well-equipped, it had everything we needed for a festive break with 6 adults and 1 toddler. The electric fireplaces added a magical touch, and Helen was welcoming and attentive. A peaceful retreat we’d happily return to!

We had an absolutely amazing stay. The location was great for some amazing walks and waterfalls. The house was spotless and very comfortable. We would love to stay here again

Lovely place to stay. We booked very last minute after new year and arrived within three hours of booking. Lisa had the place all ready and even some juice and milk in the fridge. She was great at communicating when needed during our stay but left us to enjoy it which we appreciated. The place is spacious and homey and the hot tub is perfect. The area is great with lots of walks and pubs and plenty to do.

We spent a lovely night at Sue’s house, which is located in the village center. The house is very cosy, confortable and well decorated. Sue was very pleasant and responsive. We highly recommend this place.

Deborah's cottage exceeded all expectations, it was simply beautiful. It had everything we expected and much more. There is a lovely walk direct from the rear door, through the private garden and straight into the open countryside. Overall, our visit was peaceful, cosy, warm and homely. I would definitely recommend Deborah's cottage for anyone looking to escape the hectic demands of life, and simply sit by the wood burner, kick your feet up, read a book or watch a movie in peace. Would love to come back sometime. Howard

We so enjoyed our stay at Cedar Cottage - it was cosy and yet roomy at the same time. There were lots of nice touches that elevated the experience, for example a Christmas tree (we went just after New Year!), TVs in each bedroom, a freestanding bath and huge shower head with very lovely complimentary shampoo and conditioner, a log burner and honestly such a comfortable sofa. The kitchen felt great to cook in - with everything you could need. We went with our two young children (3 and 8 months!) and although it doesn’t have family specific amenities (eg highchair etc), it really didn’t matter as the setting was so perfect - we’d brought all the kit anyway. Thank you Jill - we’ll definitely be back.

What a fabulous place ! We loved the living/ kitchen area. Lovely big bedrooms with comfy beds and feather pillows and beautiful bathrooms. Everything we could possibly want was there thank you. Love the free parking in Saltburn too ! Thank you.
