Holiday rentals with a fireplace in Hurunui District Council

We loved the quaint ,cottage style, the beautiful garden, homely feel and the character of the home. It suited our needs as a peaceful overnight stopover before dropping one member of our 3 at the airport next morning. Thanks Belinda and Rosie.

Comfortable and extremely handy to town - we could walk everywhere. Comfy beds, clean and tidy. Only negative was the shower was very low and not great for tall people!

Perfect spot! Super private with beautiful scenery - amazing location for a getaway with lots of great walks and wineries. We will be back!

Little Rose cottage is such a beautiful period home. Tracey has obviously taken every effort to renovate this wonderful cottage. Located in a peaceful surrounded by magnificent mountains. Take the time to walk up the hill opposite to take in the wonderful views.

Rockingham is the perfect spot in Gore bay for a peaceful get away. Its so beautiful and so close to the beach. We had a great trip surfing and playing games with a yummy BBQ. Thank you for our stay.

After getting stuck in the area following a crash 15mins up the road, Jane was kind enough to let us book her Airbnb the same day. Jane is so responsive and the Airbnb was beautiful. It was so comfortable and clean, the road was quiet with plenty of space to park, there are some lovely restaurants 5mins down the road and it’s definitely one we will be saving to stay at again. Thank you Jane!

What a phenomenal stay. The property is stunning, the bedrooms are tastefully decorated and gorgeous, lovely fresh linen and massive, the house is spotless and the view is breathtaking. The kitchen is also decked out with anything you’d ever need for cooking and baking. Lovely walk close by and shop just 15 min drive up the road. We had a wonderful time together as a family, easily wheelchair accessible and lots of fun games for all. Really fantastic, thank you so so much.

Overall it was a great experience. The house itself is fantastic spacious well decorated and located in a prime area. The neighbourhood was quiet. And conveniently close to shops, hot pool's and restaurants making it easy to explore the local scene. I would recommend this property for it’s grest location and the quality of the house itself.

Second time we’ve stayed here while visiting Hanmer with family, and another great place to stay. Very close to downtown and the water park. Only shortfall is dishes, glasses and cups are very limited, so you’ll need to hand wash before you come close to filling the dishwasher. Hand to believe they don’t stock more than six of each item.

Such a gem of a house on the edge of the Black Estate winery! Peaceful abode with Japanese flair, surrounding by a stunning garden, you will want to stay put, relax and enjoy the scenery! We loved it and would highly recommend it to anyone.

Elizabeth’s place was nothing short of amazing. The entire place was spotless and we loved the rustic vibes of the cottage. Both bedrooms were thoughtfully furnished and had more than sufficient heating in winter. The living room was large and spacious, just a wonderful space for 4 adults to gather. Kitchen utensils were extremely clean and new as well! The surroundings of the cottage was extremely peaceful, a wonderful place on the patio to stargaze too. The cottage sits in the middle of an expansive estate, good for a quiet evening stroll. We loved that Elizabeth’s place was near a few wineries and just a short drive to the supermarket in Amberley. Elizabeth was friendly, responsive and left easy to follow instructions regarding her cottage. My friends and I had a really great time there! Dusty the dog was a bonus for us! He was super friendly and playful. A joy to be around! We definitely recommend the place!

What a fabulous lodging right next to the heart of Hamner Springs. Cannot fault the accommodation or interaction with the hosts. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and the stunning views and the residence itself. We will stay again.
