Holiday rentals with a fire pit in Huizen

We had an amazing two-month stay at this lovely place! The neighborhood is fantastic for families, especially if you enjoy peaceful walks, greenery, and animals. Very close to the house, there are multiple playgrounds, which was perfect for us. Plus, public transportation makes it easy to reach nearby towns (highly recommend to visit: Edam). The hosts were exceptional—always responsive, incredibly thoughtful, and provided us with tons of local insights. They truly went above and beyond to make sure we felt at home. The house itself is great! It’s spacious with beautiful natural light, a big garden, and even a sauna for extra relaxation. We couldn’t have been happier with this arrangement and highly recommend it for anyone looking for a welcoming and comfortable stay.

the stay is spacious, clean and equipped with every comfort. Coffee/tea/toilet paper/dishwasher tablets/olive oil and some more products, it is all in enough quantities to function during your stay. the cottage is clean, the beds are already made and upon entering there were also nice bubbles ready for us. You immediately feel welcome. the weather helped well so we were also able to enjoy the hot tub and the hammocks.

Very nice stay surrounded by the greenery. The cottage is nicely furnished and well equipped. The hot tub is also highly recommended. Peter and Anouk are super hosts who give very clear info and respond quickly and kindly.

My partner and I spent five nights in the cabin and were absolutely in love with the place! The cabin is incredibly cozy, and with a lot of personality. It was clear that Han has put his heart and soul into it and we loved it. The location is superb, quiet and within walking distance from the lovely Alkmaar although we very much preferred to stay in and enjoy the cabin and sorroundings, as well as the very friendly animals. Last but not least, Han is one of the loveliest hosts we have ever met and could not do enough for us during our stay, even kindly offering a fascinating tour of the 1632 mill! Thank you for a wonderful stay 😊

We had a nice family holiday in Wyik aan Zee. Beautiful beach for walking. A trip to Haarlem and Amsterdam was also on the agenda. Highly recommend. All in all, we will be happy to come back.

The place itself is amazing and has many cool amenities to enjoy such as the fireplace and jacuzzi. It was clean and everything one could need was provided in good quantities. Remco is a wonderful and responsive host. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a chill getaway!

We really enjoyed staying in Victor's house, which is about half an hour outside of Amsterdam. The cottage itself was beautiful, clean and spacious with a comfortable living/dining area and a porch that looked out over fields and their two horses. We enjoyed visits from the friendly dogs and slept well. Victor was always quick to answer any questions we had and gave us lots of good advice. It was easy to get into Amsterdam. We rented a car, but we also could have gotten there pretty easily by public transport (although grocery shopping would have been harder). We loved Middelie and definitely would like to go back and spend some time there in the summer!

Our stay was even better than we had hoped! It is an incredibly cozy and nice cottage in a beautiful location. Everything we needed was present. In short, had a very nice stay and definitely recommended :)

We thoroughly enjoyed the place. It is located in a quiet and idyllic location directly on a small canal, with easy access to the nearest cities Hoorn and Alkmaar as well as the beach, which can be reached in about 30 minutes by car. The apartment was very clean and well appointed. Especially the large bathroom with towels and bathrobes as well as the cozy living room and kitchen convinced us. The bed was extremely comfortable so we slept wonderfully. The host was extremely friendly and accommodating. We were warmly welcomed, got a small tour of the horse farm and valuable excursion tips. Also on departure, the owner inquired about suggestions for improvement, which was very attentive. We can fully recommend this accommodation and would be happy to come back!

The accommodation offered was very well maintained, clean, quiet, the bed linen was of very high quality and the bed very comfortable. Lekkerkerk is a beautiful and very charming village. Michiel was very good advice and recommended a very good restaurant in the village (de nar) as well as a great route to go by boat (waterbus) to Rotterdam and Dordrecht.

Beautiful accommodation in rural and peaceful setting. Host and lady, Wim and Renee, very friendly and flexible. Very social and open minded with a positive enthusiasm to tell the past and present of their farm and b and b accommodation, and a healthy interest in the well and woe of the guests. Nice and enjoyable combo. The stays are very nice and contemporary trendy, we felt right at home and spoiled with the decor and that the accommodation is fully equipped. Surroundings are rural and timeless, which ensures a healthy rest comes to you. All in all, a more than recommendable place to stay, with a very nice location as a stay...with a friendly flexible host and lady and all this in a nice area.

The stay was very nice, especially with the sweet cat you feel right at home. The spice selection of the kitchen and also the other statement of the apartment is optimal. The garden was very cozy even in bad weather. The only thing that was a pity, one of the bikes was unfortunately always flat and could not be inflated, otherwise we liked the Airbnb very much:))

Great little place to spend a few days relaxing. The area is very quiet and clean. There is a wonderful restaurant right next door too. Barry was very responsive to questions, made us a wonderful breakfast one morning and had lots of advice for exploring the local area. Would definitely recommend.

We loved our stay at Adva's cabin. This is the second time we have been here and we look forward to future visits. It is very cozy and is a great way to enjoy some down time. The location is close to forests and heaths, but is also conveniently close to shops. Our dog also loves staying here since there are so many interesting places for her to walk/run. Adva is very welcoming, including providing treats for us and our dog, as well as useful recommendations about the area. Thank you for a great stay, Adva!

I had an absolutely wonderful stay at this cozy cabin! The hosts were incredibly accommodating, making sure I had everything I needed. The cabin itself was perfect/charming, comfortable, and full of character. The best part was the stunning scenery, with a beautiful lake at the doorstep. It was the perfect spot to relax and unwind. Plus, the location was ideal—peaceful and tranquil, yet close enough to Amsterdam to easily explore the city. This place really made my time in the Netherlands special. Highly recommend.

What a beautiful place Elise and Romée have created! A super nice, cozily furnished cottage with a nice garden and everything you need for a wonderful weekend. And of course in a beautiful environment with the woods of the Veluwe within walking distance. The tranquility you experience there is blissful. And what a nice and fast communication and cooperation when we asked if we could possibly arrive a little earlier. We definitely recommend this cottage and do not rule out that we will someday come back here again (and our four-legged company did not agree!)
