Holiday rentals with a fireplace in Houghton Estate

We picked Marten's place primarily for the back yard and it didn't disappoint! The kids loved the pool and trampoline as well as the play structure and lots of well maintained open grass areas to run and play. The house was great as well, particularly the open living space. Brave was always available at a moment's notice to clarify anything required. Would definitely book again. Thanks

Our stay at this stunning villa in Sandton was absolutely unforgettable! The location was perfect, offering easy access to all the major attractions in the area while still maintaining a peaceful and secluded atmosphere. The villa itself was simply breathtaking, boasting, a private pool, a spacious garden, luxurious bedrooms and bathrooms the pictures don’t so enough justice. The daily housekeeping and delicious homemade breakfasts were a true highlight, and we were incredibly impressed by the attentive service provided by Alice and Nancy. Their kindness and willingness to go the extra mile made our stay truly special. The villa felt incredibly safe and secure with its own private gate, providing us with complete peace of mind throughout our stay. Communication with the host was excellent both before and during our stay. They were incredibly responsive and helpful in answering all our questions. We would highly recommend this villa to anyone visiting Johannesburg

The house was very cosy, spacious and comfortable for our group of 8 adults and a toddler. We didn't spend much time at the house but would have liked to spend some time in the garden and pool which were both very inviting. Poppy, the housekeeper was a star! She was very friendly yet professional and extremely helpful. The location was close to where we wanted to be(tourist attractions such as the Apartheid Museum, Sandton and Rosebank) and the neighbourhood was very safe and peaceful. We would choose to stay here again if the opportunity arose.

Had a great stay and the kids loved the place. Truly home away from home.. Howard is a great host and her house manager is always available. We loved hanging out with Tiki as well.

Considering that I have been airbnb hopping for the past month. Janine’s place is by far the cleanest. The space is immaculate with lots of lighting. I had fresh flowers, cereal and fruit complementary. Nothando was very friendly. I would definitely stay here again.

Miralda's home is absolutely perfect. The home is stunning and immaculate, and feels like home. The neighborhood is very central with a plaza (restaurant, Woolies, Pharmacy, etc.) directly across the street. Miralda is such a kind and responsive host. Any issues and concerns she is available to respond and support. I plan to stay at this listing every time I visit Jo'burg. Thank you for everything and see you soon!

This place was beautiful and so serene! I had a few changes come up on my stay and Corne was very helpful and accommodating. Very quiet neighborhood, lots of beautiful birds especially in the backyard. Cozy bed! It did get very warm in the bed room, but the fan was high powered, and I didn’t mind it. Great location, close to Rosebank mall, Parkhurst and the CBD.

A beautiful apartment in the heart of Sandton. Quiet and peaceful with great views from the floor to ceiling windows and balcony. The space was spotless, well-decorated and comfortable. Having just had surgery, this was the perfect spot to relax and recover. The inverter and loadshedding schedule was very helpful. I would definitely stay again.

Home away from home. Big, spacious, neat and clean house. Maintained big grounds with beautiful landscaping, swimming pool and tennis court. TV in all rooms. Hanna is a kind and quick to respond to messages person, thanks to her.

I recently booked Mini’s place for my family who were attending a wedding in Houghton. We absolutely loved the place. Quiet, safe, gated community. Gorgeous neighbourhood. The house was much bigger than expected, very clean and well-furnished, and felt like home the minute we stepped inside. Mini was very friendly and kind, and reachable at all times. Stunning place! Used it for the second time and my family and I were just as impressed. It’s not too far from the city, but secluded enough to be a tranquil getaway spot. The host of top class, communicates well and we had Christmas gifts for everyone. A nice touch! 👌🏽

Such a peaceful place. i just wanted to stay there and not go anywhere. beautiful view, lots of space, beautiful gardens and outdoor spaces. the Japanese garden in the middle of the home is a little piece of heaven and relaxing space to spend time. Had a very responsive Caretaker on the premises. We were greeted by a friendly face and he gave us clear instructions on the house. The home is close to shops, restaurants. Overall Great experience.

The estate was simply unbelievable. The grounds were kept pristine by the grounds staff and the views were impeccable. The house itself was by far the best place I have ever stayed in. Thank you for letting us stay in your beautiful home. We truly had a fantastic time. Jane and Monica went above and beyond to ensure that the house was clean and our stay was made. I stayed in the property with my fiancé and some of our wedding guests. After our wedding in South Africa, we came back to fine complimentary treats and wine in the master suite. We could not have asked for more and will definitely be returning with the family.

We had a peaceful stay at Phillipah's. I especially enjoyed the extra large bathtub - our kiddo had a blast in there. The towels were also lovely and soft which is something I always appreciate. Phillipah was always responsive and we had pretty much what we needed for our short stay. Would recommend.
