Holiday rentals with a kayak in Homosassa

We brought our three kids and two dogs here and had a great time. Very stocked kitchen, we cook a lot and not every Airbnb is set up for cooking. Enjoyed Shelly’s Fish Market to pick up locally caught fish and The Freezer. This house is tucked in a quiet corner of Homosassa. Which we loved, we are from Chicagoland area and were looking for a place where crazy traffic and tons of people isn’t an issue. Not always easy to find in Florida. Loved the local mom and pop shops. The UTV was a nice way to get around. Very relaxed. If you are looking for big beaches and a bustling town this area probably isn’t for you. We loved the nature and the kayaks. We will definitely be back.

The main attraction for us was the golf cart and hanging out in the back Patio. Cruising the neighborhood was great. It was a little cool for the Kayaks, but the family took turns going out into the Gulf. There is not much to the house and that was perfect. The Washer and Dryer came in handy. We only had a couple questions and they were answered quickly.

Beautiful comfortable home close to many restaurants. The house was clean and roomy, beds firm and kitchen well stocked.

We had an excellent stay at Joy's place. Everything was perfect, Joy and her family go above and beyond to make this a five star experience. We enjoyed kayaking and paddleboarding in the springs, only a 5 minute paddle from the house to Homosassa Spring. My only regret is we didn't stay longer.

We had a great stay! A did a little fishing, swam with manatees, hiked, kayaked and enjoying area restaurants.

We really enjoyed our stay in this home! The host was very helpful and responsive. The highlight of our stay was definitely the ability to kayak right out the back door - we paddled out into Mud River Springs and saw manatees absolutely everywhere. It was a magical experience! The yard was peaceful and it was relaxing to sit out with coffee on the deck and watch the wildlife (squirrels, birds, fish). Situated in a small quiet neighborhood (but still close to all the activities we came to the area for), we couldn’t have imagined a more peaceful place to spend our week. We really loved this spot and hope to enjoy it again someday!

My family and I regrettably had to cancel another reservation due to the recent hurricanes, and this beautiful home by luck was the last option available. Boy we were incredibly fortunate and blown away, as it turned out to be even more perfect and accommodating than we had anticipated!! During our stay, we thoroughly enjoyed kayaking every day, stargazing at night, and cooking in the well-equipped kitchen. Daryl was exceptionally responsive via text messages and proactively informed me that two of the kayaks were broken, which are scheduled for replacement before the next guests arrive. One memorable morning, we even spotted manatees, adding to our delightful experience. We look forward to visiting again!! :)

This location accommodated 10 men easily. It had everything we needed to enjoy our stay. Very friendly neighbors, peaceful setting in nature and not too far from dining options. Cheryl was super responsive and helped us tremendously, she went above and beyond accommodations. The house was very clean and very tighty. Thank you!

We enjoyed the privacy and nature surrounding the cottage. Beautiful space and the hosts were sure to provide very thoughtful touches. Saw manatees from the first night swimming through the canal using the boat house light and again the next morning. The canoe is perfect and easy to launch. The kitchen is as noted in the description. However, the hosts go above and beyond to be certain it is very functional including and air fryer, outdoor grill, waffle maker, toaster, microwave, coffee maker and filters, etc. Such a cute and special little place.

It was such a peaceful stay. The sounds of nature was abundant. Its a very nice place to stay and eould definitely stay again.

This was our second time staying at Maria’s place and it was just as wonderful as the first time! It’s such a cute little place, beautiful setting, and the perfect location for any nature-lover!

Awesome place to take a weekend and relax. Pictures do not do it justice - looks even better in person. Loved spending the weekend kayaking. Would stay here again when we take a long weekend out of town.

Location was perfect! Peaceful And quiet like I needed. Wildlife was great to watch. Boat was fun! Within an hour to most places I visited. Very clean and the fireplace was put to great use as we had some cold nights. Highly recommend

We enjoyed our stay, getting a chance to use the golf cart and kayaks. The private park is really nice and Rainbow River is quite beautiful. The hosts are very responsive, pretty much always answering questions within a few minutes, and willing to go the extra mile for you. While the house is an older mobile home, there have clearly been furniture and appliance updates that the hosts continue to make, so most should feel perfectly comfortable staying here. For future guests that want to use the kayaks, don't miss the seats you can install like we did at first.

The A-frame cabin was equal parts charming and functional in addition to direct river access. Communication with all hosts was timely and clear. I’m incredibly grateful for Dusty hosting us and look forward to further stays. Thank you again!

Nice and secluded, yet close to rainbow river. access to the private park was a nice perk. Only complaint was grill wasn't clean, and the upstairs bed wasn't comfortable...master bed was great though.
