Chalet holiday rentals in Hokujo

This chalet is the best. We had a family of 5 - all adults staying and we loved it. It was away from the other chalets/areas and in its own little secluded area - surrounded by beautiful trees heavy with snow. Our own little world. Even so there were restaurants nearby and Morino’s staff ready to pick us up and drop off at almost every location, even most slopes. It was one of our best stays and made even more special by the little touches like a Bose speaker system and a leg massager - very good after a day on the slopes. We all would highly recommend this gorgeous place and are definitely planning our return trip. Annette and Neil and family

We had an absolute amazing stay at Marc’s place in Tsugaike and couldn’t asked for anything more in a stay on holidays. From start to finish Marc and his partner helped us in whatever way they could to make sure our stay was everything we hoped for in Japan. If you are looking for a fantastic vibe with a family friendly touch on-top then look no further than Tsugaike Lodge! Wouldn’t stay anywhere else whilst in Hakuba moving forward and will be recommending to our friends in family back in Aus! Thanks guys! Amazing.

Beautiful chalet - it was snowing while we were there, and it was everything we could have wanted from our stay: picturesque, comfortable, and convenient. Jason & Fumiko were very helpful and responsive for our whole stay; the chalet was equipped with everything that we needed to cook and handle our 18 month old comfortably. We definitely look forward to staying again soon!

Awesome property and great host. The property located at the center of Hakuba where to go out any lifts to any mountains. It is very accessible.

It was a comfortable house with an authentic and comfortable design room with a view of lush greenery from the window.It was clean, tidy, and we enjoyed a relaxing and comfortable stay.

Philip is an amazing host. Took time out of his days to help get us around to places and to/from the bus station when we arrived and left Hakuba. He also booked us several reservations and even dined with us on our last night at the private hotel pot place he booked. Overall this is a great place to stay and couldn’t find a better host. Thanks again and we’ll be back!

Stayed for 5 nights and very pleased with house and amenities. House very clean , great kitchen and eating area. We were family of 3 and house suited us well. Dan’s team very responsive to any queries and went out of their way when had some issues with injury. Thanks. Would stay again .

It was spacious and tidy and well cleaned.It was comfortable and a pleasant place to stay, so I enjoyed my trip more than I imagined.I want to stay again!

Thankyou Osamu for making our ski trip so good. We appreciated the transfers to and from the mountain each day, along your with restaurant recommendations and the trips to the supermarket.

Staying at Beaver Lodge was excellent. The place was clean and accessible. The host was very responsive and helped us with questions that otherwise would have been lost in translation. A great base for two teenage kids to learn to ski and have some down time.

Matt was really friendly and helpful during our stay. The location of the property is excellent, it is basically a ski-in ski-out villa. I’ll definitely stay here again when I’m back in town.

House is very cozy and clean. Very suitable for a group of friends or families. Host is very responsive, sorting out all our problems. Highly recommended.

We really enjoyed our stay much more than we expected! Shen, our host, was super nice and accommodating; she even picked us up at the train station and help us in picking up some stuff at the grocery. We love how cozy and peaceful the place was which made our group bonding much more fun and special. Highly recommended for families and friends!!! Hakuba being a lovely place is an added bonus - we really love the Aoki Lake, so serene!

We stayed here for 7 days with 5 people. Very close to all the restaurants and ski rentals and Hakuba white fox car rental. Pretty much in Echoland area. All the beds and blankets were so comfortable. The tub was awesome to lay in after a long pow day of skiing. The ski/snowboard room at entry is so useful and has heater to dry all your wet skiing clothes. Would definitely recommend and will consider staying again. About minutes to Goryu and Happo-one in a car. Shuttle service is also walking distance.

A beautiful house makes you feel like home! The house is super clean and fully equipped with everything you need. We can make breakfast every morning before going to the mountains. The house is fully heated, so comfortable and nice, which makes our stay so pleasant. Our host is very responsive with lots of good advice. It is also located within residential area so its very quiet, and beautiful in snow.

Beautiful place, well appointed, stunning views, very comfortable. The Hamon team were excellent in every way and did a fantastic job. The one thing to be aware of is that the house isolated. It’s up a long winding road at the top of a tall hill behind town. The road was covered in snow ice and full of switchbacks. The Hamon team offer a great shuttle service to and from the slopes and will also take you into town and back on the evening. But unless you have a 4WD with proper snow tires and are a very confident driver, you will be ‘stuck’ up in the house outside of these times. Taxis will not go up the road - it’s quite treacherous. This isn’t a big problem if - like us - you plan to ski and then hang out in the house. But if you want to spend time in town - especially later into the evening - this is probably not the ideal place for you.
