Holiday houses in Hillcrest

I booked Dawwn's place from Australia so I was flying blind, but as some of the other reviews have said, it actually exceeded my expectations. The location was easy to find, very private, and so so beautiful! The beds were super comfy, the kitchen was a dream, and everything was sparkling clean and really lovely. Dawwn was easy to communicate with, and was super-helpful to me as I had a huge snafu with another house that I had booked. We will definitely be back - I can't recommend this place enough!

We absolutely loved this Willow Lake oasis! Perfect for a few middle aged moms to have a weekend away. Bright, spacious, peaceful, well stocked amenities, things labeled and easy to find, comfy beds and chill spaces, literally everything we needed and a great collection of funny mugs and community pantry cabinet to top it off. We would love to return here for another weekend of R&R, or with our families. Any time of year, this place is a gem. Host Roger was always so responsive - answered questions before the trip, checked in via message to make sure all ok during. We will be back!

We are former Crystal Lakers who returned home to visit friends. Brent's cottage was exactly as pictured and perfect for our stay. I was able to walk by the lake everyday and was close to everything. The house was very clean and Brent was super responsive to any questions I had. I would definitely stay here again.

Great family home for 3 couples and 2 children. Beds were very comfortable and the house was well supplied. The bins of toys were a big hit with our toddlers. Would stay again when we come to visit family in Rockford.

Marlene's home is such a vibe! When I first saw the listing I was immediately drawn in. So many airbnb's these days are just the same over and over again, cookie cutter white houses. This is so not that and we absolutely loved it. The arcade games were so fun to wind down with after a long day. We were in town for a work trip and we so loved having a place to explore and have fun in afterwards. We had an issue with a shower late at night but Marlene was quick to respond and help us solve it! Highly recommend this place. Also go to Banana Cherry Bakery nearby!! So good!

Very clean and comfy place! The hot tub and sauna is really nice to have. Our host very responsive and helpful. We enjoyed our stay.

Wonderful experience. Loved walking to and on the river multi-use path, and exploring the neighborhood which included the historic National Avenue. River views from kitchen, living room and primary bedroom were excellent, and due having perfect weather we were able to make use of the multiple decks. House had everything we needed and floor plan was perfect for us. Next time we're in Rockford, we'll definitely stay here again.
