Cottage holiday rentals in Hermosa Beach

My boyfriend and I stayed here for a small vacation and absolutely loved it! Darrell’s property is so gorgeous and the guest house still feels very secluded and private even while there are other people on the property. Plenty of unique outdoor space to admire and hang out around. The only complaints might be the unavoidable water all over the bathroom floor from the small size of the shower and the small amount of pots/pans when cooking.

Fantastic house and location! This was my second stay at Tom’s property, and I will definitely plan to book this house again. Tom’s communication is great and the stay has always been very relaxing. Thank you for providing such a great experience!

What a special, SPECIAL place. I was so sad to leave and STILL wish I was there right now. The perfect little escape, was pretty much a wellness retreat. We got to reset and relax before the start of the new year in this storybook home surrounded by Mother Nature. Doing yoga under the trees, seeing all the hummingbirds and butterflies come to visit, enjoying the cowboy hot tub under the stars, sweating it out in the infrared sauna, and getting cozy inside the most charming home was exactly what we needed after a long year of work and travel. This is such a sweet and special place and we can't wait to return one day!! Amazing location. You can have all the privacy, peace and quiet you want, or you can go into "town" and grab a bite or get to the store if needed. Convenient, yet private - the winning combination when it comes to location. All of the stars go to the host - Lynne is a total sweetheart. Super responsive and easy to communicate with. We can't thank her enough!

Connie's place was a wonderful refuge for the 2 of us and our 2 small dogs after losing our home in the Eaton Fire. The unit is lovely and easy to manage. The bed is comfortable, and the bathroom was perfect for us. The property and grounds are beautiful and offered a peaceful refuge when we most needed it. Connie was kind, gracious, and responsive to our needs. We would recommend to anyone, and would love to visit again some day under more favorable circumstances.

Beautiful cottage and gardens, wonderful neighborhood, walkable. Connie was so helpful and welcoming! Perfect place to stay for the Rose Parade and Rose Bowl.

Our stay here was quick, but just what we were looking for—peaceful and quiet. Our family of six stayed, and one reason we chose it was because each of our four kids would have their own bed. No pillow barriers needed haha. Speaking of beds, these were the *most* comfortable ones we’ve used at an AirBnB. The space was comfy, inviting, and super cool. We loved looking at all the music industry memorabilia, too; what a neat legacy for Michele to share with her AirBnB guests! One thing to note: the place is a converted garage so it is cooled and heated with a mini-split. It wasn’t turned on when we got there, and we wish it had been because it was a pretty cold, drizzly night (December) and took a long time to heat up. So if you stay here, maybe request that it be turned on in advance of your arrival. I’m sure the property management wouldn’t mind at all because they were nothing but accommodating and welcoming. Our big family felt lucky to find this place to stay while in the area.

MK is a fantastic host! Her place is in a wonderful, central location that allows you to easily get around LA which is saying a lot as LA can be a tough city to get around in. The home matched the description and photos. MK was very accommodating, flexible, kind, and responsive - thank you for a great stay!

We had a great stay. The location was convenient for all the places we wanted to visit. The space was small but enough for a short visit. Patricia communicated throughout our stay and even gave us recommendations in the area. I highly recommend this place if you plan to do things in the Hollywood area. HUGE plus for being pet-friendly!

David's home was perfect place for my retreat. Simple, cozy and quiet. Close to the super lovable town where I could not get enough of the cute shops, friendly locals and delicious food. Surrounded by beautiful, serene nature and easy access to wonderful hiking trails.

Ernie's unit is in a beautiful walkable neighborhood called Sunset Beach. This is the second time we have stayed here, chosen mostly because we like walking to the beach. This location is quiet yet convenient to all the attractions of Orange County. We highly recommend staying here.

Lisa was extremely helpful in all aspects of our stay. During our stay there were wild fires in Malibu which is very close to Topanga and Lisa went above and beyond to make sure we are well looked after and prepared for all eventualities. Besides that, Lisa is one of the funniest and most interesting people we meet and we would love to came back as soon as we can.

Kristin and Richard took us and our 3 big labs in at the last minute when we were evacuated for the Eaton Fire. They were very responsive and had us all set within an hour of us reaching out. They took some money off the rental because of the fires, and even gave us half a dozen eggs from their chickens. Highly recommend!

Don was a fantastic host. The apartment lived up to all expectations!! We will 100% be back.

Marla's was an excellent spot for a four-generation family gathering—days at the Huntington Library, mornings in the dining room, and evenings at local restaurants. Thanks, Marla.

The place is as shown in the photos. Amy was very, VERY responsive, the place is located in a quiet and safe neighborhood. Nice place to stay in Glendale.

Wonderful and charming home. Very well equipped. Location is great just a block off the beach and close to stores and restaurants. Dan and Kathy were amazing hosts. We loved our stay!

Charming little space as the perfect home base for an LA trip. Walking distance to cafes, grocery store, restaurants. Richard (and Bandit) is a wonderful and welcoming host.

Perfect for my needs. Relaxed, not gussied up. Decent kitchen for breakfast and lunch. Really great location a couple blocks from the beach, which has its own concrete “boardwalk” to stride out or bike on, though I didn’t use one of the included bikes. The beach itself is fabulous, plenty of space, a pier to walk out on, surfers to watch or join. My only challenge was the address— the “1/2” wasn’t recognized by Lyft and Google maps. I don’t know if it can be fixed as the entrance is on the alley between 34th and 35th. It does mean that it’s quieter…

This was such an amazing stay! Kathryn is so personable, knowledgeable and passionate about her guests wellbeing. The place was beautiful and comfortable with a cute kitchen, amazing bathroom and super comfortable bed with a beautiful patio and outdoor areas to enjoy peacefully. We couldn’t had found a better Airbnb than hers in Hungtinton Beach. Then drive to the pier was only 8-9 minutes. You are allowed to have a beach pass which was amazing! We loved the fact that we had our own parking spot making our stay so much comfortable. Thank you so much Kathryn! You are God sent! ~Evelyn and Manny

Our family of four stayed at Primo and loved every minute! The cottage was very clean and smelled wonderful. Mike was very responsive and kind through his messaging even leading up to our trip. They have thought of every need you could possibly have and the cottage was extremely well stocked; they even left waters and treats, which my kids loved! Thank you for a wonderful stay! Cant wait to return!!

Ok let me just say Joel’s place was one of the most accommodating AirBnBs I have ever stayed it. He had fresh fruit, everything you need for coffee in the morning, all cooking supplies you might need, blankets, soap, and basically any essentials. The kitchen is beautiful and the bed is incredibly comfy that I did not want to get out of it in the mornings 😂 I was visiting my sister who goes to USC and Joel’s place has definitely become my “go to” place now for whenever I visit. I just checked out this morning and I already told the rest of my family that this is the place they have to stay when they visit. I’d give more stars if I could 🙌🏼

We rented the cottage to host a small Thanksgiving dinner. When we shared our plans with the hosts they were attentive and responsive to our questions about the kitchen. They also proactively provided the information we needed for an easy check in. The location was nice and worked well for our needs. It was close to downtown Culver City and across the street from several stores, restaurants and a coffee shop. The outdoor space was tranquil and made the home feel private. We really enjoyed the outdoor seating area and running water. The indoor space felt homey. Some highlights include the comfy couch, TV, Alexa speakers, live plants and flowers, and the fully stocked kitchen with gas stove. We slept in the main bedroom and liked the decor. The bed was firmer and stiffer than our liking. Overall, we had everything we needed to host Thanksgiving dinner and have a great stay. Check out was easy. We’re grateful to have found this gem and really appreciate the kindness of the hosts.
