Cottage holiday rentals in Helvellyn

Fountain Cottage is a wonderful base for a walking holiday in the Langdale valley. A beautiful, cosy and comfortable home with a really well equipped kitchen. We felt immediately at home, all the more so thanks to the fire already laid for us and ready to light when we arrived. The maps, walking routes and other information all helped us get the most from our stay and we made full use of the excellent leisure facilities at The Langdale. A perfect holiday. Felt like home away from home! Great location, cosy, warm and clean cottage. Particularly I would praise the fully equipped kitchen to cook. The fireplace, the comfy beds, we loved the area and surroundings ( and the bower inn pub just 5 min driving!)!!!!! For us it was a 9.5 out of 10! Not the 10 because we love Netflix and there wasn’t a smart tv to watch other channels rather than cable tv in the evenings, but everything else was perfect, fully recommend it and we will be back!!!!

Lovely air b&b, as pretty as the pics. Very well set up for dogs, lots of towels and blankets left, wirh great walks right on the doorstep. Welcome cake was lovely and there was so many extra bits that you always need when you're away. Hot tub was a fab addition. Would highly recommend.

Lovely cottage with stunning views of the river. Very peaceful location and the cottage had everything you needed. Small improvements could be made with towels being fluffier as they were quite hard.

A truly stunning and remarkable home tucked in the heart of Lake Windermere. We loved our stay here and recommend this place to everyone! The children loved the hot-tub and exploring the woods which led straight onto Lake Windermere. Mark & Ruth were so hospitable leaving us a complimentary welcome basket and daily gifts! And even created a marble slope In the woods for the children, making it a remarkable and enjoyful break during half term. One of the best Airbnb’s we’ve stayed in worldwide for sure! We had a really lovely long weekend at Rose Barn cottage. It was spotlessly clean, very well equipped with everything needed. Towels were provided for the hot tub too. Hot tub was fabulous. Beautiful area. Hosts were so lovely and friendly. Couldn’t have asked for more. We will definitely w returning.

We really enjoyed everything about this break. The place was stocked with everything we needed and was really well equipped, couldnt fault it at all. The pool is incredible and a highlight of our stay! The main house is wonderful- so full of character and warm and inviting as well as spacious. The pool house quarters were equally as impressive. We just didnt want to go home! The cottage is in a fantastic location to see areas of interest such as malham cove, Pen y Ghent and Ingleborough caves as well as having some wonderful pubs around usually offering delicious food. We absolutely loved it here and would return in a heartbeat. Have had so many friends asking about the place too after seeing pictures, videos and hearing how much we enjoyed it.

We have just spent a couple of wonderful days walking up penyghent. Moira's cottage was wonderful. Really clean and cosy and stocked with everything we needed. The walk up to pen-y-ghent starts literally right outside the doorstep which is very handy and a comfortable bed is exactly what we needed after the long walk. Thank you Mouira for your hospitality.

Fantastic find. We booked this for a Christmas/ new year break and found home from home with Emma decorating cottage to make us feel it was just that. Extremely private in ever changing landscapes with weather conditions but that said had good weather for season. Got out and about on recommendations. Farmers arms a good local and friendly . Ulverston offers great alternatives in wet weather, canal walk, museum and crystal showroom. We ventured out to Buttermere, Wray castle and other surrounding areas. Super cosy and comfortable cottage. All the rooms were clean and refurbished to a high standard. Lovely views and great set-up with a wood burner in the living room and a massive free standing bath in the bathroom. Perfect location to do lots of walks in the close area. Only 30 minutes from Keswick and 20 minutes from Cockermouth. We will definitely visit again!

A beautiful cottage in a stunning location. If you're looking for tranquility and amazing surroundings, I can't recommend Rutter Falls enough. The freshly baked bread and homemade jam on arrival were the icing on the cake! 😀

Welcoming fairly lights, warm, clean, magical with views of Helens horses and toasty log burner. Heated floors and hot baths! All much needed in the snowy weather. Helen has thought of everything! Thank you for the peaceful, perfect stay.😊

Amanda communicated very clearly and reached out proactively. The cottage is perfect, clean, cosy and well equipped as well as being right in the middle of Settle, which is a beautiful destination.

Lovely spacious cottage within easy reach of Cockermouth. Had everything provided could possibly need and even a jar of dog treats. The whole cottage was immaculate and clean. Would certainly recommend and return myself again in the future.

Absolutely loved our anniversary stay at Crumble Cottage. Was everything we needed for relaxation and more On check in, Stewart was on hand and gave us an overview of the place, surroundings and suggested great places to visit and eat. The cottage itself is approx 15min walk into the centre of Cartmel - with great places to eat and drink there We visited the Wolf Predator experience by Grange-over-Sands - it was amazing!! Really enjoyed the comfort of the cottage and the tranquility- Will definitely be back again! Thanks for having us (Heidi & Craig) ☺️

We had a great 2 night stay at the cottage. Really nice inside and comfortable beds. The village is really quiet and nice walks close by, with a local pub which was highly entertaining with the locals full of chat. Would highly recommend a stay here

Catherine is an excellent host, great communication and keen that everything is ok, quick response to queries raised. lovely welcome touch, of milk, cereal, bread, pastries, fruit juice jam, butter and apples and a supply of tea and coffee. Lovely compact cottage with a good kitchen, with a dishwasher and microwave. peaceful and quiet, away from everything but only a short drive in to Kendal

Beautiful cottage in a great location. Lovely to meet Joan for check in and the extra touch of the breakfast basket was very much appreciated. The cottage is amazing and definitely a home from home. We will definitely look to come back sometime in the future.

We really enjoyed staying at April’s cottage. It was a great location for a winter stay as it’s very accessible to both Keswick town and the station.

Great little cottage for a nights stay with lovely pub next door which served excellent food and cocktails. Cottage was nice and spacious inside with everything we needed. The cottage was very cold despite the heating being on, we did try to light the log burner as best as we could, but this didn’t ruin the stay. Would highly recommend for a short, quiet stay.

This was a beautiful spot, nice & private & accessible to the lake for a beautiful sunset pic opportunity. Very clean & tidy on arrival & we tried our best to leave it as we found it.
