Cottage holiday rentals in Helensburgh

Flew in from Toronto, Canada to this beautiful home away from home. Barbara, Graeme (and Rosie) were extremely hospitable and welcoming hosts. The cottage has everything you need. Lovely, comfortable linens and beds, clean and modern bathrooms, fully stocked kitchen, and great and private hot tub. The location is very rural, but easy to find with google maps. The town of Kilburnie is close by with a grocery store, gas station and pharmacy among other amenities.

10/10 literally could not fault anything, the most beautiful house in the most beautiful location, Andrew was very responsive and accommodating. We can’t wait to return !!

Home from home, absolutely wonderful stay! Marcin was so responsive, chief log replacer and great host! Hot tubs were so warm, clean and a additional touch. Peaceful, calm and relaxing. Ideal close location to Loch Lomond and Luss. Highly recommend you stay. We will be back for sure!

This is the second visit for us it a wee hidden jem. We thought it could not get any better the exra personal touches spot on thought of everything. We enjoyed our stay very much. We had a fabulous stay at your gorgeous cosy house. We loved the festive theme, an ideal space to spend Xmas and New Year. Waking up to those stunning views was such a bonus and we made good use of the hot tub especially after doing the Hidden Heritage Trail which was stunning. We enjoyed seeing in the New Year and a meal at The Village Inn (literally a 2 minute walk away) with the Scottish piper adding to the festive atmosphere. Have just spent a few days at Ashburn cottage & it was lovely. The cottage was very comfortable with everything you could need & had fabulous views of the loch & mountains. The weather was cold, crisp & sunny so was stunning, we did have a wee flurry of snow. Loved the log burner, so cosy!! Had a lovely meal at the Goil Inn & The Boat Shed cafe a definite for a visit! Will hope to be back again soon 👍

We felt very much at home in this cosy, lovingly decorated cottage. Every practical need was taken care of, the heating system worked perfectly. We liked our meals at the big kitchen table and the quaint staircase leading up to the bedroom and bathroom. Personally, I found it hard to sleep because the mattress was worn out and very uncomfortable

we had a great stay at John and Dora’s beautiful cabin. Hosts accommodated all of our needs including being flexible with check in times and adding some personal touches for a weekend of celebrations. The pictures included do not do the place justice. Place is immaculately clean and within walking distance to shops/pub/restaurants. The view from the front of the cabin is also unbelievable. Cannot recommend here enough.

Such a nice stay! Photos don’t do the cosy living room justice. Carolyn was an excellent host and very responsive to any queries we had during the stay. Will be back.

Second time staying at Eleanor’s cottage in Lochgoilhead and I hope it won’t be the last. A wonderful, peaceful few days where we were with relaxing by the wood burner or out exploring the stunning surroundings

We spent a wonderful weekend at this comfortable cottage. The hosts were very kind, providing a highchair for our two year old, letting us collect egg from their hens and making sure that we were safe to drive after unexpectedly heavy snowfall. The location felt remote and wonderfully peaceful in the middle of the woods, yet it is only a 10 minute drive from the nearest supermarket. We loved the coziness of the cottage, the many walks nearby, and the garden with its amazing treehouse . Thank you Amy, we hope to be back soon!

Comfiest, coziest, and friendliest stay in Scotland! The space is warm and inviting, especially with the wood burning stove crackling! It’s also one of the few places in Scotland we stayed at with a full kitchen, full bath, and a separate spacious living room. The community is charming and eclectic, we enjoyed the community garden and the short walk to town. The local pubs and butcher shop made us feel like we got a true taste of small town Scottish life. But the best part about our stay was Shona. She met us when we arrived with big hugs and a warm smile. She was very thorough, gives plenty of advice and options about everything local, and best of all she really cared about us and made us feel most welcome. Next time we’re staying here the whole trip!

Fabulous & comfortable house with the best enclosed garden for our dogs, loads of birds & wildlife. Saw many red squirrels & even a pine Martin! The surprise is the wee sitoutery at the bottom of the garden with the wood burning stove. There are great walks all around with stunning views. We’ve arranged to go back again, Peace perfect peace. The place is very nice and matches the description. Excellent parking for the vehicle. There are no stairs. It has a private back yard. The place is very clean. The owner (Fiona) is helpful and responds to communication quickly. The place makes you feel private and like you are at home. Thank you for the wonderful experience.

We had a great time. Nice wee cottage and very private. Lovely small garden if the weather is good and a conservatory if not. Really handy for the bus into Rothesay although walk is only about twenty minutes.

The house was comfortable for our party of 8. We appreciated the pool table, large kitchen and sitting room. Beautiful scenery when the sun came out. Perfect for our family Hogmanay and an 80th birthday gathering.

This property was the perfect 5 day stay after 16 days of a long road - train - air trip - this was idyllic - nothing was missing and all was in the right place - Liz makes the business of hosting spotless - we could not think of anything that the cottage missed and that is the hard work and magic of her hostess - we were really lucky to find it - and follow all of her recommendations - hands down - lovely refuge.

Ben and Hazel 's place was well located to take advantage of all the local walks. We had a great time walking in the local hills. The house also gave easy access to the local amenities, shop, pubs, chippy and the local bistro. We really enjoyed our stay in Arrochar and in Two Stones Cottage. We would definitely visit again.
