Pet-friendly holiday rentals in Hat Head

Jaynes property was homely and perfect for our needs. We will definitely rebook when we are in Port Macquarie again!

This was our second stay here. It's a lovely house, with lots of space. It's also really well located for the shops and restaurants in Bellingen.

This was our fourth stay at Misty River Lodge and won’t be our last. My family, including our little Jack Russell Terrier, loves Helen and Craig’s place. I especially love seeing how the gardens have evolved. We enjoy visiting the beaches up and down the coast — Scotts Head is a favourite — and we love to find new places to eat. Coffs Harbour is only a 45 minute drive north and South West Rocks is just 30 minutes south, so it’s a really central location and close to the highway but so quiet and peaceful. The bird song is relaxing and if you’re an early riser, you might even see the local swamp wallaby down near the creek. We were treated to fresh quail eggs, deliciously sweet tomatoes and tasty vegetables from the garden. As Helen said when we arrived… “Welcome home!” … because it does feel like a home away from home.

We had a great stay at Moonee Beach, the location is walking distance to the creek and shops. The house had everything we needed, we would definitely come back again!

Beautiful getaway location. My kids commented "this house reminds us of the islands". 3 minute walk to the beach and so peaceful with lovely surroundings. Frank is a awesome host, kept us informed and made sure everything was comfortable with our stay. 100% reccomend for anyone wanting to escape the busy city rush for a few days!

The home was neat tidy and gave us room for relatives to drop in. Appreciated the cot and high chair being available. Price, I thought, was a little high but was the only one available with the space and bedrooms we required.

We had a wonderful stay at Jacqui and Peter’s place. The view is amazing and it’s lovely to be able to hear the ocean. There house was easily accessible to the main town of Scott’s head and it was well equipped for kids. We will definitely be back again!

Central location and good size place with nice back deck that catches afternoon breeze. Street was busier than I expected for a cul de sac and couldn’t always park out the front due to cars. My dual cab Ute (1950mm high) didn’t fit in the garage and didn’t really fit under the tree in the driveway. Other than that it’s a great place for a family holiday.

Denise and Brett’s place was exactly what we were after! Fantastic spot for peace and quiet to escape the hustle and bustle of city life. The sauna and cold pool is a fantastic add too. Denise and Brett were awesome - gave us privacy but always on hand to help if we needed something. Thanks guys!

Lovely comfortable house with everything you will need not too far from shops beach and sports centres sue is amazing too Communicate with very quick too reply too any questions will definitely book again

This has been a place I keep returning to as its just so wonderful.. beautiful quiet cosy wood cabin with a log fire at a very reasonable price!

We all had such an amazing time at Rippas Rest. The kids, hubby and i really enjoyed the beautiful pool and tennis court and the lovely house and surroundings. Our little Boston had such a good time with all the toys and all that space to run with secure fencing throughout the property. Justine provided all the information required, clear instructions and the place had everything we needed and more! Cant wait to go back for a winter stay.

It was a great stay on the farm! Peaceful cows, horses, kangaroos and friendly dog :) Had such a nice time of unwind and rejuvenation. Thanks so much for the stay

Fantastic place to take the kids and dogs! Plenty of space for the dogs to run - and walking trails in the state forest. The pool is beautiful - like being at a resort! And warm no matter the weather - the kids were in there even in the rain. Cabin is well equipped with everything you could want and the private fire pit was a big hit.

Wonderful! Highly recommend staying with Michallie. Facilities were modern and comfortable, extremely clean and matched a luxury beach resort. Friendly, accommodating and flexible. Awesome dog beach only 5minutes away which our pup absolutely loved. There’s a booklet with heaps of information about the area and must-do’s that is provided & is so helpful. We’d love to stay again! ☀️🌊⛱️ 🐶

If you’ve got pets and/or children it is a great option. The space feels very homely and liveable. It doesn’t feel like you’re on egg shells worried if the kids were to make a mess as all floors as floating floor. Close to cafè’s, little shops and entrance to diamond beach, We really liked it and found it a perfect stay for the week.

OMG 😍 this place is absolutely devine. Gary went out of his way to ensure our stay was amazing, without issue and extremely peaceful. We had 13 of us stay there, there was more than enough room without getting under each others feet. The pool table was a massive hit with everyone and the kids absolutely loved exploring. We will definitely be making this place our yearly family holiday location 😍 Highly recommend booking this place x

We had such a wonderful stay at Fiona's. The views were absolutely stunning. It felt like you were so far away from the busy town centre but only a 6 min drive away. So close to beaches. We spent most of our time on the balcony. There were 4 adults and 3 kids but so much space to take a quiet moment. I would highly recommend Fiona's and would happily stay there again

4.5 stars easily. Lucy was a super awesome host. Very responsive and allowed me to check in a day early. She warned us of ants from the recent wild cyclonic weather. The yard was nice and big and green. The house was awesome. Heats up easy so recommend having the fans and aircon on. The amenities were good. Some needed cleaning due to ants. The deck being enclosed or open was awesome. Allowed us to keep our dogs crated and safe and in view. Beds were comfy too. I’d honestly LOVE to come back here again. It was such a lovely stay. I really enjoyed it. Only reason for the half star loss is just because even though the dogs weren’t allowed inside, I’m assuming someone before us did because there was fur all over the rug (before our dogs even left the car and they were never inside per host request) and dirt in bathrooms and laundry. The ants can’t be helped after the recent floods and what not. The back door onto the deck is a bit hard to move and we were worried we might break it.

Deb’s place is gorgeous and clean, perfect for a stopover during a long road trip. Easy, flexible check in. This place is incredibly dog friendly and easily accessible off the highway. Traffic was a bit loud overnight but on the balance of everything we’d stay here again :)

My son and I had a lovely stay at Chanelle’s beach house. It is a cute retro cottage and styled perfectly with a casual beach shack vibe. Plenty of room for parking and both a front and back deck for relaxing. We came with our sneaky toy cavoodle who tried hard but failed to escape from the fully fenced back yard so bravo for that 😁 We also found the washing machine and dryer (Miele) extremely useful Chanelle was a fantastic host- friendly and thoughtful and I would love to come back again
