Holiday rentals with a kayak in Hartford

The house was beautiful and in a perfect location. Everything was clean and well cared for. The owner was very responsive and detailed—we didn’t need to message them at all during our stay! Would recommend to everyone.

Matt's luxury Condo was excellent! It was very clean, roomy, and felt modern. I especially loved the kitchen. Being only a quick 10 minute drive from the K1 Gondola at Killington, the location is great! It's in a nice quiet spot but it only takes a few minutes to get to the mountain and local shops/restaurants. I will definitely be back!

This place is so cute inside and looks exactly like the pictures. It is secluded and on a dirt road with some hills, but a few houses are around. If you travel in the winter like we did, bring a car that has 4-wheel drive (we did not and got stuck, but friendly neighbors helped us out). We still went in the hot tub despite at least 6 inches of snow. It is a very peaceful location, and Bianca is very responsive and helpful!!

When we first arrived, I messaged "WOW" to Danielle. As winter vacations go, you cannot get much better than this. Our family of four had an awesome time at the lake house. It was so peaceful—just what we needed to detox from everyday stresses. It's an easy drive into down and neighboring towns for meals and sightseeing. Everything in the home is as described in the listing. We were two adults and two teenagers. We prepared meals together, and everyone had their own space when they needed it. I suggest you make time to sit on the rocking chairs and admire the views for as long as possible. I'll be back, for sure.

We had such a great time here even in the winter! Pats peak is 20 minutes away so we did some skiing and had a nice clean, warm home to come back to! Thanks Laura and Hanna!

We had a lovely stay at Jonathan's place at a pretty much perfect time of year. The views were incredible! The home had a ton of character, and somehow managed to be cozy despite being huge. The view from the shower/bath did not get old! We would definitely recommend to friends and family looking for a getaway.

Melora’s home is lovely. The view towards the lake is breathtaking, especially with fresh snow. The home was clean and had every kitchen utensil/machine you could need. Most of our time was spent on the second floor and was such a great hang out spot for the 6 of us and enough space to do yoga as a group in the morning before heading to Mt Sunapee to ski/snowboard. Overall, Melora has a lovely home and she is very kind and always available to answer any questions or resolve any issues. Thank you Melora for letting us stay in your home.

Annual Fall Weekend Our group just came back from enjoying our annual Fall weekend. This house is exactly as pictured. It is a lovely New Hampshire home with many homey touches. You can tell by the decorating and different areas of the home that the owners really take pride in this home and enjoy renting it out so others can enjoy it. Jennifer was always available to answer any questions I had whether it was about the house or things to do in the area. This home was very clean, and the kitchen was well equipped. I would definitely recommend staying at Herrick Cove.

If you are looking for an idyllic lake house experience, this is it! We could have spent our entire trip just sitting on the porches—upstairs, downstairs, one screened-in porch, and the lovely dock. We used the kayaks and the paddle boat multiple times. The house was perfect for us because we are a close family of three, but if you need privacy from other guests, this wouldn’t be the ideal house as one bedroom opens into the other. The beds are soft and comfortable as is the sofa. Paula and Tim were extremely responsive and helpful. We would absolutely return to this house. It was difficult to leave the gorgeous leaves.

Exceeded all my expectations. The property was the perfect escape for nature lovers and those seeking a peaceful retreat. One of the standout features was the private fire pit, where we spent every evening roasting marshmallows and making s’mores under the stars. The owners really thought of everything. They provided kayaks for us to explore the calm waters at our leisure, which became a daily adventure. The house itself was immaculate, tastefully decorated with a rustic-chic vibe, and equipped with all the modern comforts you could ask for. Highly recommend!

The location is peaceful and beautiful. Loved having our morning coffee on the dock overlooking the lake and autumn leaves. Enjoyed kayaking to Paddlers Pub for drinks & food. The cottage is very cozy and just enough space for 2 people.

Absolutely amazing place to stay! Exactly like the description, coziest place we have ever stayed with Airbnb, extremely clean and warm even in the midst of winter! We stayed to ski at Magic Mountain for the weekend, easy 5 minute drive away, and beautiful view of Magic Mountain from the front windows. To ice the cake, we got engaged in the house! Could not have imagined a better place to be! We will definitely be back soon! Thank you Scott & Rachel!

Madelyn's place was so sweet and cozy and incredibly close to Pico and Killington. We were there during a pretty big snowstorm and the driveway was plowed multiple times while our car sat safely in the spacious garage. Also, she left us maple syrup for our pancakes! Highly recommended.

My husband, daughter and I had a lovely winter weekend at Sunset Lodge. The cabin’s proximity to Mount Sunapee was perfect for a day of skiing. Relaxing in the cozy cabin and enjoying the beautiful view of the lake was also time well spent. The homeowners clearly put a lot of thought into the decoration and care of Sunset Lodge which we appreciated. Suzanne is a great host, reaching out with details for a smooth arrival and check in experience. We can only imagine how wonderful it would be to stay here in the fall or summer and would love to return.

Third stay at this lovely home away from home. My family was comfortable and relaxed. We had everything we needed in the loft. We enjoyed great skiing at Mt. Sunapee, cooked some delicious meals (very well equipped kitchen), and watched movies in front of the fire.

The cabin is very cute! Everything inside still looks brand new/well taken care of. Everything is clean! My only qualm was I did not realize that the hot tub was shared between the 3 cabins. I thought each cabin had its own hot tub and a bit more private. We drove up to our cabin and our neighbor were just staring at us from their window, which is not really the host’s fault. Everything else was great for our little trip up north. Thank you!!!

This was our second stay at this house, we were here last winter as well. The house is great and very convenient location. We prefer Jackson Gore to start and that's very easy to get to from the house. Kitchen was perfect and the plow came to the care is the snow shortly before we left for the slopes when it snowed overnight. As before, the kids really love hanging out on the loft space!!

It was perfect for what we wanted! We were giving Grandma an 80th Hallmark Experience. A lot of what we did was in Woodstock and it was a noce 30 min ride to the town, but for us very convenient. We had a family of 14 and we played games in ythe main living room all together. The downstairs was perfect for our older kids to hang out in!

Jason was a fantastic host and his cabin was wonderful. He left the dock in later in the season for us since the weather had been unusually warm recently. The cabin had a great kitchen and there was more than enough room for the two of us. Parking was easy, right out front. There was a ton to do with fun thrift stores in the nearby towns and hiking just 10 minutes away at Mt Sunapee. There were kayaks, canoes, and a paddle board though the water was a bit cold to be boating. I would definitely stay at Jason's cabin again!

Absolutely charming cabin! We had a wonderful time relaxing in the hot tub, cooking meals in the kitchen, and using the home as a base to ski and explore Vermont! It was snowy when we went, and we would definitely recommend AWD for getting up the driveway, but Nicole was very helpful in making sure it was plowed and sanded.

The cabin exceeds Brooks modest description of it. It has several luxury amenities that we were not expecting and the kind notes throughout the cabin describing items or history were a fun touch. It felt like staying in a home. Our dogs were also welcomed and added touches just for them were so appreciated. The area is beautiful and offered so much to do that were ran out of time to do it all. Centrally located in a winter wonderland of activities.

Took my family for a fall getaway to the cabin. Everyone loved it. The room with the lake view was my favorite, although it is definitely a summer room as it does not have windows. Great for big families. Very private and peaceful. You cannot beat a lake side stay. We played Rummikub for 3 hrs one night! Left with many forever memories. Thank you!

This was a great place to stay! I was looking for a relaxing weekend and this place was perfect. The yard and back porch was great to enjoy the lake and it's very private. The inside is all updated while the outside maintains a rugged outdoor cabin in the woods setting. Great coffee station too!
