Holiday houses in Hanover

Our visit to the Kentuckiana area was unexpected and on a last minute notice. After booking and connecting with Carmer, we knew we made the perfect choice. With our stay not being a typical getaway/vacation, Carmer was very understanding of our needs, more than accommodating, and responded very quickly every time. The property was everything we needed and more. In addition to being fully stocked with the necessities and all the listed amenities, it was also beautifully decorated for Fall, making it cozy and welcoming. We were thankful for the comfortable queen size beds in all three rooms to help with restful nights. The property was perfectly located steps away from the Ohio River with benches and green spaces in one direction and charming downtown Madison's shops, restaurants, and activities in the other. The entire area is walkable and felt very safe. I highly recommend this property and host and hope to return for a vacation stay in the future.

Great place with responsive hosts. Our family loved the property, the views, and the area. We hiked around the state park trails there onsite, explored the little chapel, grilled out, ate around the fire pit, ate at The Chicken House, hiked around Charlestown State Park, watched a lot of March Madness, and just enjoyed being together.

Jennifer’s place was a perfect stay for our family of seven. We had a kid with us and one of the rooms upstairs is connected to another room that has a futon. There isn’t a door that separates the two rooms but we were fine with that. It was sunny and nice to be able to sit on the back patio. We rented a golf cart and took that around town (designated areas). The town is very walkable and in the summer months, with everything open, I can imagine it being lively. We took a walk along the Ohio River (which we walked to) and that was nice. Kitchen also had what we needed to make meals. We would definitely stay here again.

Very nice private getaway. I had an extended stay due to work and this was an awesome place to unwind after a long day. Crystal is an awesome host and was extremely helpfully and responsive during my stay. Definitely recommend for anyone looking in the area for something not far away but a little more off the beaten path.

We enjoyed our stay at this quiet, clean house. It was very close to downtown LaGrange where we ate several meals and enjoyed the small town feeling of this area. This house was in a great location with easy access to the interstate which made going to Louisville Slugger Museum, Kentucky Derby Museum and a bourbon trail stop really easy. The house was clean and the beds were comfortable. The hosts were communicative and suggested a bourbon trail stop and a famous restaurant in downtown Louisville for lunch, and we took their suggestions and enjoyed both places: Angel's Envy Distillery and J. Graham's Restaurant in the Brown Hotel.

Great amenities and responsive hosts! Would recommend to all looking for a comfortable place to stay in Shelbyville. If I could rate greater than 5/5 stars, I would.
