Our stay was incredible — would highly recommend to anyone looking to get out of the city. Very private and comfortable, exactly as advertised. Vanessa was a great host!

Our family had an amazing time at the cottage. We enjoyed the lake for paddle-boating, swimming, fishing, kayaking and the views. The fire pit was a hit with privacy and quiet evenings. The cottage was spacious and the dining table had a lot of space for our family for all meals. The kids enjoyed their bunk beds and the ping pong table in rainy days. All of us had our own space/rooms and enjoyed that as well, as we had 3 families staying there. The kitchen had all of the necessary materials needed to make our stay feel like “home” away from home. Our only complaint was the stairs to the lake were steep and difficult for the older guests to climb up and down daily. We definitely got our steps in so the younger guests didn’t mind this. We had a great week stay and loved the cottage and lake activities!

Arshdeep was very accommodating, as we asked to check in early. The location is a little out of the way as we were curling in Haliburton. Very private. If you are using the whole unit be aware that there is no washroom on the lower level. Overall we were very pleased with our experience. Thanks

We and our dogs had a fantastic stay over the Thanksgiving weekend! The cottage was very clean, spacious and had everything you needed. We loved using the wood burning sauna and the fire pit and appreciated that the firewood was provided. Rebecca responded very quickly to any questions we had. I would highly recommend this cottage.

This is our second Thanksgiving Long Weekend spent at Dave's cottage. Everything was as perfect as last year. This year the First Aid Kit came really handy as one of us poked himself doing the dishes. He was able to patch himself up really quickly since the kit was right under the kitchen sink. There aren't many cottages around that are as considerate as this one that supplies First Aid Kits on BOTH floors. I can't say enough compliments for the hosts.

We loved this cottage and this is our second visit this time of the year. There is beautiful large table to serve meals, spacious kitchen with plenty of storage place and 2 fridges. Cozy atmosphere with a wood burning fireplace and an additional playroom/ family room. There is plenty of outdoor activities including walking, skiing (Sir Sam’s is nearby), cross country skiing or skating. We really enjoyed our stay and highly recommend it.

Place was very equipped with everything you need to a perfect getaway from the city. Extra blankets and sheets. Host was quick and very friendly with her responses. Would definitely recommend for anyone trying to just kick back and relax

John was an amazing host—super responsive and proactive in making sure we were comfortable during our New Year’s stay! The kitchen had everything we needed, and everyone had a fantastic time. One highlight was walking on the ice, which was a first for all of us—a truly unforgettable experience.

There aren’t words to describe how incredible our stay at your family cottage in Dorset was. This is our 17th year doing family cottage getaways and I can honestly say that this was by far the best. Nobody wanted the trip to end…From the gorgeous and blissful lake to the new dock filled with Muskoka chairs and enough kayaks that we went on our first ever family kayak expedition, to the neat little fire pit, to the indoor pool and the multitude of games and even a karaoke machine which was great for evenings and rainy days. The cottage was prepared with everything and anything we could have needed including the much appreciated extras like duck food for the kids to feed the duck family that frequented the dock. The cottage was spacious with enough room for everyone to sleep and live comfortably, and beautifully decorated and we truly felt that it was a home away from home. The Gerbers are hosts extraordinaire and we hope that we can return again for another wonderful family vacation!

An amazing property with the most hospitable of hosts. The Cooperage House sits on a picture perfect lake surrounded by romantic ruins . It has all the amenities that you could ever want. Theater room, hottub, suana, firepit, firewood, tent outside, multiple grills, fully stocked kitchen. Bedrooms are tastefully decorated. Kitchen is luxurious. Large deck for entertaining. Large property for keeping children busy. I would highly recommend to anyone.

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at this charming cottage! From the moment we arrived, everything exceeded our expectations. The house was spotless, beautifully maintained, and clearly loved by its owners. The hot tub and sauna were the perfect touches for relaxation, and everything was in excellent working order. Any questions we had were answered immediately, making us feel truly cared for throughout our stay. It’s clear that a lot of thought and attention to detail went into creating such a welcoming space. We can’t recommend this place enough and would love to return. Thank you for an unforgettable experience!

Beautiful cottage, incredible quiet and private. Clean and spacious. Tons of outdoor space, large wrap around porch, lots of seating, access to pretty trails on the property. We all loved the pool and hot tub.

We had our amazing 2 day staycation at this place. Very calm and peaceful. Loved the aesthetics of the place. The jacuzzi was a prefect addition to the winter. We had lot of indoor play options like board games, jenga etc. Will definitely recommend this place if you are looking for a quiet hangout away from city. The view from the cabin is beautiful. Shristi is a very responsive host.

Once again we had a great stay! This was our second year staying at Kunals' place and it was just as we expected. Kunal went above and beyond to accomodate us. Unfortunately a wk. before, due to a bad storm, the liner of the pool was damaged so the pool was inoperable. This is one of the main highlights of Kunals' place for us so it was a little disheartening because we were there for 8 days...HOWEVER, once again Kunal came through!! He purchased an 18ft back up pool and had it assembled and ready to go for our arrival so that we could still enjoy a pool!! My sister and I had a great time, enjoyed the peace and quiet and would stay at Kunals place over an all inclusive Carribbean trip anyday! House was clean, comfortable and we had everything we needed. Kunal gave us late checkout which was greatly appreciated! We will definitely be doing an extended stay next summer and are so looking forward to it! Thanks Kunal, you are a great host and we thank you for being so accomodating!!

This was a beautiful find. Everything about the inside was well thought out and pristine. The bathroom in the master and kitchen were gorgeous. We enjoyed the hot tub and arcade games. Lisa was very responsive when we couldn't get out of the driveway and immediately had a plow come out. We would definitely stay again. Thank you!

Elke’s place is the most beautiful cottage we’ve ever stayed at! The house is recently renovated with modern touches but still has that cozy cottage vibe. Beds were comfy and clean. We loved the screened in porch to enjoy outside without worrying about bugs. We also loved sitting on the dock and looking out onto the lake. Elke is an amazing host and we can’t wait to visit again soon!

We enjoyed our stay at the beautiful cabin, it looks exactly like the pictures! My favorite time was relaxing on the couch in front of the fascinating view! We’re already planning to come back in summer or autumn for a longer stay, as I’m sure the view would be extremely beautiful, and we’d have time for activities. Also, Mackenzie is so kind and responsive. Definitely recommend 😊

Had a great time at this property. Even though we stayed at home due to snow we had great view. So many indoor games and fun things to do at the property. A perfect budget friendly weekend getaway. Would love to visit in the summers soon

This cottage is an absolute gem. We had the best time, as did our golden retriever, by far one of his funnest weekends ever!!! The sandy beach was perfect for him. We loved the docks, kayaks, row boat, paddle board, all so fun and peaceful on the calm lake. The cottage was in a great location, easy to find. The inside of the cottage was so cozy. Minden is so close and such a cute town. Thank you!!!

Best cabin-in-the-woods weekend ever! Perfect spot for hiking, kayaking, movie watching, and board games. Bill went above and beyond to make the trip go smoothly.

The cabin is amazing! The smell of brand new wood hit us as soon as we entered. They are still working on it (Mark was totally upfront about it) but the ground floor is completely done with everything you need for a comfortable stay. We wanted our Samoyed to experience a Winterwonderland and we definitely achieved it at Mark's cabin. He not only made sure we had a hassle free stay making sure the road was plowed, but was super responsive whenever we had questions or asked for advice. We can't wait to go back and make use of all the summer amenities, kayak in the lake and just enjoy the peace and quiet one more time. Thanks again Mark!

We had a fantastic stay at Robert''s place! It was perfect for our group of 18, with plenty of space and privacy. The well-maintained garden and private lake were wonderful bonuses, providing a serene environment to relax and enjoy the outdoors. The location was cozy and comfortable, making it an ideal spot for a relaxing getaway with friends. We really enjoyed our time here and would love to come back in the future.
