Close to world famous surf breaks, wineries and Margaret River itself, Nest is perfect for couples, small families or groups.
The space
NEST is a rebuild of the original "shack" to retain all of the character, with bespoke new comforts within a functional design.
THE SPACE
A stylish rustic fit out and furnishings have all been chosen to enhance the space and ensure that guests and residents can enjoy a relaxing, slow paced break.
Named NEST to reflect our intention to create a space for those wishing for quiet contemplation, respite and inspiration for creativity.
As a ceramicist, I offer Local workshops and Retreats, which has helped me to understand the need for such spaces, and I look forward to sharing Nest for those wishing to explore the beautiful Margaret River Region, or simply unwind.
SEASONS
In cooler months the shack is cosy and snug, with a view to the green pastures, and the sound of rain on the tin roof. We have a warm fire to keep the space toasty, and beautiful soft furnishings to enjoy. We have made sure that the library is full of great reads in case you decide not to leave at all!
In warm months we like to open the french doors and enjoy the soft light mornings. A Queen Size daybed is perfectly situated to watch the sunrise or enjoy a cold glass of local wine after your day at the beach.

We have set up Nest with special touches wherever we can to help you make the most of your stay.
~ A picnic basket and rug is available to use on the property lawns
~ Bespoke Ceramic Wares from my studio have been added for you to enjoy while staying at Nest. I hope to arrange for some favourites to be available for guests to purchase if they would like to take some home.

THE AREA
Nest is located in a perfectly central part of the beautiful Cape Naturalist. With close access to the 4WD trails of Kilcarnup, and just a short drive to world class surf breaks, beautiful beaches, the Margaret River townsite and other tourist attractions.
WILDLIFE
We have plenty of Wildlife which lives or comes through the property.
Guests will often see Kangaroos, lots of birds, and there are many possums if you walk outside in the evening.
THINGS TO EXPECT
Nest is a rustic re-build which is located in a bush setting. Although a lot of the fit out is new, this is not a pristine hotel style accommodation as we prefer antique and interesting finishes.
In busy times of the year some traffic noise can be expected, as Nest has immediate access to the Caves Road Tourist Drive.
We have a television, wifi and also offer a great book selection, games and puzzles.
There are steps leading up to the house, and a steep-ish gravel driveway. If parking at the top is not comfortable for you there is plenty of room at the bottom of the hill.
Guest access
As we do linen in house to ensure we can offer a beautiful quality product, the laundry and drying area is generally not available for guests. Stays over 1 week are welcome to have access by arrangement though.
The expansive grounds are open to guest use including visiting the chickens, if they are home, olive grove & vegetable gardens.
A seperate little studio space will become available with north facing deck, which we hope to set up as a small meditation / yoga / art space in 2026.
We are also working on an adjacent workshop venue space and will give more details when that becomes available for guest use.
Other things to note
We are currently renovating and refurnishing Nest, so complete photos will not be available until December.
