Free off-street inner city parking space is available at the door.

This stylish two-bedroom apartment (queen + 2 x singles/or 1 x king) sits above the Highclare Estate Wine Room, where up to 4 guests can enjoy tastings before exploring Launceston’s dining scene or the Tamar Valley wine region

The space
Highclare Townhouse is a boutique two-bedroom apartment perfectly located in the heart of Launceston. Situated directly opposite the gates of City Park, the apartment offers leafy views and immediate access to one of the city’s most beloved green spaces. Just across the road is the Harvest Market, celebrated for its seasonal produce, artisan foods, and vibrant community atmosphere.

Includes 1 x free off street parking space at the door of the property.

The apartment accommodates up to four guests with a queen bed in the main bedroom and a second bedroom that can be configured as either two singles or one king bed, making it ideal for families with 2 children or 2 x couples.

Stylish, light-filled interiors and thoughtful furnishings create a comfortable and welcoming environment for your stay.

At Highclare Estate Wine Room, located just downstairs, guests can enjoy guided tastings and explore our range of single origin wines grown and produced right here in the Tamar Valley of Tasmania.

Beyond wine, the apartment is a short walk to the newly renovated Albert Hall, the UTAS Stadium, cafés, restaurants, and city attractions.

Highclare Townhouse is also a perfect base for exploring the Tamar Valley wine region, with boutique vineyards and cellar doors just a short drive away.

Please note that access to the apartment is via a steep internal flight of stairs, which may not be suitable for those with mobility challenges.

Whether your focus is wine, gastronomy, culture, or simply a boutique city escape, Highclare Townhouse offers a unique, memorable, and distinctly Tasmanian experience for wine lovers and city explorers alike.

Guest access
Guests have full access to the entire apartment, including both bedrooms, the kitchen, living area, and bathroom.

All beds are brand new from Snooze, so a restful night’s sleep is assured.

The second bedroom can be set up as either a king bed or two singles, just let us know how many guests will be joining you so we can prepare the configuration to suit your stay.

The bathroom is modern and stylish, with a rain head shower, double vanity, ample mirrors, and a heated towel rack.

IMPORTANT TO NOTE: The apartment is accessed via a typical terrace house style staircase, which adds to its private, tucked-away charm and leafy park views. We include this note so everyone can plan ahead and enjoy their stay comfortably.

Other things to note
IMPORTANT TO NOTE: Guests should note that the apartment is accessed via an internal flight of steep stairs.

While this adds to the private, tucked-away feel of the space, it may not be suitable for those with mobility concerns.

Where I went to school: Sydney
I’m Sarah, a Sydney-turned-Tasmania local who swapped city life for vineyard rows (with my husband Matt and our kids). Together we run Highclare Estate, making single-origin Tasmanian wine. Life is full with sport-mad kids, way too many animals (1 elderly cat, 2 cheeky cavoodles + 7 guinea pigs), and my love for interiors and travel. I believe in under-committing and over-delivering, and I can’t wait to share a little slice of Tassie with you.
