Smoking-friendly holiday rentals in Grenada

VALLEY RETREAT is neatly tucked away in the placid area of Mardi Gras. The spacious accommodation was perfect for my family of seven. The decor was tasteful and significantly contributed to our feeling of being at home. Ms. Maisie, our host, (we refer to her as Marvelous Maisie) graciously allowed us to have our privacy while she ensured that we were comfortably facilitated. The first time we arrived in the Airbnb it was during the night, so Ms. Maisie ensured that there were beverages and other necessary food items available for us in the cosy kitchen. Moreover, once you use WAZE or Google maps, it’s relatively easy to get to and from VALLEY RETREAT to Grenada’s Capital. The accommodation truly added an extra layer of safety and security that my family and I needed on our Grenada vacation. Thank you Ms.Maisie for being a wonderful host. We definitely know where to stay when we visit beautiful Grenada again.

Just finished another phenomenal stay at Jacqui’s place, our 4th stay and we will be back again. Wonderful host, awesome place and a joy to stay at. I like to cook when we are staying in Air B&B’ and this place has all of the kitchen stuff you might need to whip up a great meal. Local groceries nearby using a street taxi for approx $10 US round trip or about $40 by taxi. We picked the taxi so we did not have to carry all the groceries up the hill to her place, not difficult but not something I wanted to do. Great food at local Indian restaurant Punjabi (15 min walk) or old skool pub 10 min. Jacgui also had some folding beach chairs she let us use. Can’t wait to return next year.

Totally understand why this is a “rare find” My advice to you would be… If it’s available book it quickly. Next time I plan on going to Grenada I’ll be making sure that this place is available before I book a flight. Lovely couple who could not have been more welcoming or accommodating. Properties and host like this make using Airbnb a pleasure.

Cheryl is an incredible nice person. I loved sitting on the balcony in the evening and looking into nature. Once you have found the house, it is super easy to reach.

Bogles Round House is a lovely property in a beautiful location by the sea. Rooms are large, with a roomy covered outside space, really peaceful area and comfortable bed. Roxanne is a lovely person but has a lot on with running Bogles, two restaurants and helping people with the rebuilding after the hurricane. This does mean though that guests must accept that they need to be independent and not expect 5 star service. Breakfast is great but not always available, and the restaurant was not open during our stay. It would have been really helpful to know this on the listing which would make guest arrival much easier. Most shops and restaurants haven’t yet re-opened, so using a hire car or the local buses is the only way to get around. Having said that, everyone on the island we met were friendly, helpful and positive so we were so pleased we stayed for 5 days. And there are a few really good restaurants-The Slipway in Argyl is great, as was Paradise Beach Bar. Come and visit!

The apartment was beautiful exactly like the pictures, the view was amazing. I would recommend this apartment. A car is recommended however we used local transport. It is a steep walk down to the town and all the people are very friendly. We were collected from the airport and Timon stopped so we could buy groceries, great service.

Donna is a great host felt like a second home we had a great time

Had an excellent 3 week stay. Habib went above and beyond the expectations of any Airbnb host. The Wifi is good in case you need to do some work, I had no problems with Zoom meetings (Usually around 15mbps). The house is only a 10 minute walk from over a dozen food spots and the SGU bus stop is just down the road. I regularly just walked to the campus, however. The view from the backyard is impressive, I enjoyed the sunsrises and the private beach. Will definitely come again next time I'm in Grenada!

We had a wonderful stay at France and Pierre’s place. It’s away from the hustle and bustle of the main touristy area of Grand Anse, but still easily accessible by car. We spent most mornings at La Sagesse beach - a 5 minute drive away. We had the beach to ourselves and ate a few delicious lunches at the resort. France and Pierre were great with our kids: helping them feed the parrots and chickens, making them treats, and indulging their curiosity. Thank you for making our stay special!

We loved our stay here. A beautiful setting! Very peaceful and calming with the ocean and forest right there. The accommodation was perfect, rustic and charming and had everything you need. The bus stops very close as well so you can easily explore other towns. Lylette and Kim were great hosts too, very friendly and helpful. Would definitely come back!

Loved Grenada.. beautiful lush island and everyone so friendly. Apartment in a fabulous location for those looking for a real Grenadian experience of living in a local and vibrant neighbourhood. 5min walk to Grans Anse beach.. short steep hill to house. Miss Lew and Krishna friendly, knowledgeable and helpful hosts. Would recommend car hire for a couple of days to explore the island.. Would definitely return.. thank you.

Antonio's is a great place to stay and walkable to the Carenage. We stayed for the rugby world 7s tournament and walked each day to the stadium which was about a 20 minute walk. Do take note that this place does not have AC but ventilates well with the windows open. we would stay again!

The photos do not do this place justice! Beautiful ocean view with the wow factor. You will definitely need a car if you stay here but access to local beaches, restaurants and amenities to the house is well located. A very private neighbourhood and there is a beautiful spot for peace and tranquility where you can walk out on the point and watch wildlife and the weather. The house suited our needs as everyone had their own bathroom and the kitchen space was ideal. The washing machine was a big plus as was Netflix and the air-conditioning in two bedrooms. Marcus was on point with communication and his brother Terry was very helpful, even with directions to the house. Although Terry does need to learn the street names rather than saying "up so" and "second house on the left" Everything you need is in the house but don't expect seven star service if you haven't paid for it! We will be returning for the view Marcus!

Always enjoy staying here when passing through Grenada. Location has easy access to amenities and is situated immediately adjacent to restaurants, supermarkets, bus and taxi stops, etc. Rasha and Richard are always very welcoming and accomodating.

We have stayed in the adjacent apartment in 2017 and so had a good idea what to expect. The views are great and the apartment was more than adequate for our needs. The place is "shabby chic" so will not be every ones cup of char, but we quite liked it. What really made the stay special was Aisha (the on-island host) who was fantastic and couldn't do enough, but without being over-bearing and in your face. She even treated me to a history lesson in the Windies Politics which was a real eye-opener (she's also a teacher :)). We'd definitely stay again.

This was our second time staying here and this time we stayed for 2 weeks. we loved it as per the first time stayed . Great experience, peaceful and quiet 10/10 . highly recommend! the only thing is the beach isn’t as near but if you have transportation it’s about a 5-10 min drive maybe less . there’s a nice shop down the road , few mins walk about 10 mins /3 min drive. where we were able to buy some light groceries there as well as food upstairs the grocery store . Some things weren’t working but with communication with the host , things were handled and fast too . Thank you waylan for letting us stay !!

So my girlfriend & I stayed at the "shack" from Oct 25th to Nov 2nd. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. We were very satisfied with the accommodations. You have everything you need in the unit. Bed was comfy,bathroom was really nice (recent upgrade). The unit is not huge but it is very cozy. The sitting area just outside the front door is awesome to kick back & relax & relish the view of the beach area & bay...just a spectacular view!! We could get enough of that view! Great sunsets too.(nice to have a hammock as well in the sitting area too!) There is a few places that are just a couple of minutes of a walk for food. La Playwood beach bar,we just had the fish & chicken tacos here which were very good (gd fries as well) along with drinks. We also ate at Brisa Mar a couple nites for dinner. Very gd food,food choices,service & drinks. You can make reservations as well there. We would definitely stay here again. It was hard to leave that view!
