Holiday rentals with a kayak in Greenville

Welcome Home is what the title should be since we felt right at home when we arrived. It was clean and well kept. Our flight was canceled due to Hurricane Helena coming from Florida and they were very accommodating with what we’re dealing with, thank you. The house was so relaxing. Walking with the sunflowers surrounding you as you go toward the lake where there is so much to do when you get there. Fire pit, boating, and a sitting area to just soak up the view, which is beyond words. I was able to cook to my chef’s desire with all the items for cooking my best meals. Beds are very comfortable and extra blankets if needed. Sitting out on the porch in the morning with a cup of coffee or OJ is just the best!! I could go on and on but I will say it’s as described. And we ate more than one “Lobsta Roll” a day! And getting places was super easy. The wedding was at The Water’s Edge Estate and was easy to get to from the house. I grateful the place was available. In town to attend a wedding, this house was perfect for my husband and I with our two adult children. The common living areas are downstairs with the three bedrooms upstairs. One full bathroom is upstairs and the other full bathroom is downstairs for convenience. Spacious, clean, and very nicely equipped-the little extras made it easy to see why Nick and Josh are super hosts. I would definitely stay here again.

We walked in and the Christmas tree lights were on and Christmas music was playing. It was lovely. It's a beautiful home and very cozy. Having a bedroom and full bath downstairs makes a difference for many of us (young and older) who may have trouble navigating the stairs to the second floor. This location is nice and quiet yet close to all the essentials. I spoke with Dottie before our stay and she was very nice, helpful, and informative. Thank you again Dottie! We came to Dragonwood for a small family getaway and had the most amazing time. Carrie was an extremely attentive host and we were never lacking in activities, even when the weather was on the dreary side. We’re looking forward to booking another stay next year!

Chris was very communicative from the beginning. Very peaceful and quiet place. Overall, our experience was amazing. We highly recommend Chris and his place, if you want to have great gateway.

Kerrie’s place checked all our boxes. It’s a newer log cabin with all the amenities to make your stay comfortable. Really enjoyed my morning coffee on the back deck while looking out over the pond. My only complaint, I needed several more days to enjoy this cabin and the surrounding area. I’m hoping Kerrie’s place is available for my next visit to Maine.

We had a lovely time at Ellen‘s home with four adults and two kids enjoying a last few days of summer vacation. Our family enjoyed using the paddleboard and canoes to spend time on the water. The beach was perfect for swimming too. We also loved the walking paths along the pond and all of the benches and picnic spots. Having all of the games and roomy indoor space was very helpful on a rainy morning. Ellen left many helpful instructions. Thank you and we hope to return again!

Had a fantastic family gathering and will definitely book again in the future if needed. Great location. We enjoyed the space even though it was winter and we didn’t use the outdoor space. I imagine a summer visit would be fabulous!

It was a cozy cottage on the lake. The house was beautiful, fully equipped and the scenery was spectacular. Everything you needed to relax and enjoy time with family; there were 3 of us. Outdoor grilling, fire pit to make smores at night, night-time star gazing, steps away to swim, kayak and watch and listen to the loons.

A fantastic spot right on Moosehead Lake. The house has everything you need and the yard is perfect for being outside and on the lake. I loved how Kahla provides information on the area from restaurants to hiking to scenic drives to the moose hang out spots. The information was very helpful and we did get to see the majestic moose.

What a magnificent place to stay! The views of the lake and surrounding mountains are so breathtaking. Bald eagles soaring around the lake! What more could you ask for?? Truly amazing.

Another perfect stay at what has come to be a home away from home for us. We've been coming here for years and are so grateful for the memories we make together in this little piece of paradise. Thank you, Chris, for always being an outstanding host.

We're repeat customers who love the cottage and the tranquil lakeside surroundings. Took canoe and kayak rides, swam, enjoyed coffee and cocktails on the dock and the porch. Stars at night were spectacular, loon calls haunting. Great place.

We loved our one week stay at the cabin! It was really wonderful living right at the lake, having breakfast outside, kayaking, going swimming almost every day and just enjoying the time doing nothing or reading. We also went hiking in the nearby State Park which was great. The cabin was very cozy and had everything we needed. Communication with Kim was really easy-going. We definitely recommend the cabin to anyone who wants to get away from everything for a while.

Great stay! The place was well stocked, clean and just as advertised. Such a great location near the river with a fire pit. We really enjoyed the screened in porch.

Amazing yet again! Stayed in 2023 and fell in love with the place. Came again this year for a family weekend away and it did not disappoint. It was quiet as most residents were gone for the season. That definitely added to the experience. Peaceful and beautiful foliage. Looking forward to our return in 2025!

Our family of five had a great long winter weekend here. Everything was perfect. We spent time reading and playing games by the fire, skied at Big Moose which is only 20 minutes away, and walked down to the frozen lake when we wanted to stretch our legs. The house had everything we needed, was in perfect shape and very well appointed, and Bill was really friendly and helpful and responsive. Five stars!

Spent a long weekend at this cute little cabin. My husband and I loved it so much, we wish we could buy it! I do wish there would have been a shower instead of just a bathtub and it was dog friendly. We would love to come back every year but we have a growing family and hate to leave our furry friends behind. Overall, beautiful location, peaceful, and quite. Perfect for a getaway!

We had a great week at this lovely cottage! All the amenities we needed to enjoy time right by the water. Loved the comfortable beds and living room furniture…plenty of space to sprawl out even for a relatively small cabin. And I got what I needed most: kayaking and loons. We had a great week!
