Holiday rentals with lake access in Greatstone

Tim was a lovely host, very responsive and made me feel at ease and ready for our weekend in Rye. It’s a great house, a perfect size for us as 2 adults, 2 children + dog. There are lots of games and books provided and there’s a nice big park opposite with a playground. We particularly enjoyed the cat cafe which is just at the end of the street. And everything is in walking distance. A great location. We had a wonderful time.

we absolutely loved staying here, a beautiful house with an incredible beach side location. Strolling through the back garden and straight on to the sand dunes was a real treat. The interior of the house is incredible and hugely relaxing and it had everything you needed for a lovely stay. would love to come back one day again.

Lewis's accomodation was as advertised and really homely. We stayed there with our 5 months old baby and 2 year old son respectively and it was comfortable for them. There were different items in the house that made looking after our children easy: rocking chair for babies, baby cot, low toddler bed, cutleries and feeding bowls for toddlers...etc Lewis was helpful and responsive - particularly when we needed to check in.

We had the most wonderful stay at this stunning Georgian cottage in Rye, Sussex. From the moment we arrived, it was clear that this property was something truly special. The interior design is absolutely exquisite—every detail carefully curated to create a cozy yet elegant atmosphere. It felt both luxurious and incredibly inviting. Alex, the host, was amazing—warm, attentive, and always on hand to ensure everything was perfect. His hospitality really elevated the experience and made us feel completely at home. The location in Rye is ideal, with charming streets and great pubs and restaurants. Whether you’re looking for a romantic getaway or a peaceful retreat, this cottage has it all. Perfect house for our family of 5 - just a gorgeous little place! Just a stones throw away from the beach, so it was a great location, comfortable beds and had everything needed for our short break. Cute little puzzle game with prizes and lots of board games, with so many extra things to make the stay more enjoyable and to make you feel at home. From the marshmallow bbq toasting kit, Ice poles, milk in the fridge and some welcome snacks - just really thoughtful touches. Mehtab was super helpful and responsive and was very accommodating when we asked for an earlier check in time. We loved our stay and will definitely visit again. 100% recommend Mehtab’s place!

What can we say. Julie is an exceptional host, extremely helpful and responsive. She made us feel like home from home, and very welcome in so many ways, all the lovely touches on our recent stay over Christmas and NY. For us the caravan is just perfect, the beach is probably our best beach around. Local takeaway shops in walking distance. We had the best time! From the moment it was booked, the host was incredibly responsive and made sure we had all the details needed for a smooth check-in. The place itself was spotless, well-equipped, and beautifully decorated. It had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The location was perfect, close to all the main attractions but still peaceful and quiet. I truly felt at home here, and I will definitely be back next time I'm in town. We had a lovely stay at this very comfortable, home-from-home apartment. Being a stone’s throw from the beach makes the setting very special - you can hear the waves! - and Simone was a great host. Highly recommend both the apartment and the area.

This was my first time visiting friends in Kent from Liverpool, and I couldn’t have asked for a better stay. Maidstone East station was just a short walk from this lovely accommodation, making it incredibly convenient. Mitchell was kind enough to provide his contact details in case I needed any assistance, though everything was smooth and straightforward upon arrival. The property was spotless, with a clean, fresh scent, and it had all the amenities I needed for a comfortable stay. The fast internet was a lifesaver as I had a work meeting to attend before heading out for some shopping at Maidstone Centre with friends. After a long day of travel and socialising, the hot shower and bath were the perfect way to unwind, with lovely smelling soaps provided, and fresh white towels! There’s also a small spa nearby for any last-minute items you might need for a short stay. There’s also a private parking available if you live abit closer than I do. I’ll be looking to book again next year

Our family had a wonderful few days at the gorgeous Oast House property. Stunning setting with views across the fields. Local walks were great and maps available, along with local attractions all close by. Heather prepared an amazing meal for us which was well worth the money and the property had everything we needed for a peaceful and enjoyable few days away from the big smoke. The guest book in the property says it all about what a fantastic place this is. Highly recommend and look forward to returning soon.

This is a great self catering cottage - best we have stayed in. Clean and tidy throughout. Stunning location for us; near to coast and country. Visitors need to be aware that the staircase is fairly steep so might not suit young children or older adults, and that the upstairs bathroom would not suit four adults sharing. We had a super time with clear instructions as to how to use the appliances, hot water on tap, and fantastic heating (essential in the winter months). We will be back if they will have us!!

If you are looking for a quiet, homey cottage look no further. Richard is very straight forward about this being his primary home. There are items in the fridge, freezer, and limited closet space. It is lived in and that’s one of the reasons I choose it. I felt like I was visiting family. My eyes never got tired of looking at all the decor. If you are traveling without a car don’t bother with Uber, call a taxi. Nice cafe a short walk down Church street, walking paths behind the cottage. It’s exactly what we needed.

We arrived slightly early for check-in, but the staff at Reception could not have been more helpful or courteous. Rose Cottage was exactly as described, quiet, private, beautifully refurbished and comfortable. We left feeling rested and energised.

I had a lovely stay in this very beautifully furnished and spotlessly clean house. Beautiful views over the marshes- a bit foggy on my visit. Very private and quiet and ideally placed for a walk on the beach. The house is very spacious, comfortable and well appointed: the children loved the playroom. Highly recommended for a lovely stay by the sea.

Brilliant couple of days stay with friends with our two dogs. Great location to nature reserve and Fens. Only five minutes in car to beautiful Rye. House was cosy and comfortable. All new and beautifully furnished. Small local shop up road if you run out of anything and pub on harbour. Highly recommended.

We had an amazing 2 nights, lovely cozy little cottage, we didn’t want for anything, the hosts were always on hand & couldn’t do enough for us…… amazing location, beautiful walks, highly recommend an autumn visit.

A lovely cottage in a peaceful location. Was well equipped for cooking and living for over a week. Comfortable and clean beds. Nice fireplace in the living room. The train station is a mile away, with direct connection to the center of London. We really enjoyed our stay and would definitely stay again. Thanks Barbara!
