Holiday houses in Golden Downs

Location is awesome. Beautiful sitting on deck and watching the tide change. We had fun with the kayaks too. We had an amazing stay. 7 people altogether and with the weather so good we sat outside most of the time. Overall a really lovely place to stay.

Great space, we booked this home for our family Christmas Day 2024, and had plenty of space for the family, the large deck area was perfect and plenty of outdoor seating space for everyone.

We had an absolutely glorious stay at Brent and Annette’s apartment. These two are the epitome of what exceptional Airbnb hosts look like and their home is utterly stunning. The views especially are supreme. The most comfortable king size bed I’ve ever slept on. Very well stocked and supplied. Do yourself a favour and book this place! We will without doubt be back. 10/10

My husband, daughter and I loved staying at this beautiful cottage. The place had everything we needed and is well set up for multiple people. Mike welcomed us in person and even picked up our food shopping for us in Motueka which saved an extra forty minutes in the car with a six year old! Very peaceful and private with great walks and river swimming nearby. A great relaxing stay with fantastic hosts; it comes highly recommended and we hope to be back!

Wow this really is a perfect pocket of paradise. Absolutely idyllic location with stunning views and nothing but the sound of the wildlife. Loved the retro furnishings and views from every window. Elspeth is the perfect host making us feel welcome from the minute we arrived and helped us plan our itinerary for our short stay. Mapua is a pretty little harbourside village only a 10 minute drive away and well worth a visit. We would definitely come back and this time for longer. Thank you Elspeth!

We really enjoyed our stay at this amazing place, the apartment is super colourful and cozy and we felt really at home. The beach is only a 10min walk away and the Abel Tasman Nationalpark is an 1h drive and a must see in this area. Amanda had some great restaurant recommendations as well as other tipps for what to do and were to get food, coffee, etc. We were welcomed with a freshly baked bread that was super delicious and also the communication and check-in was superfast and easy. We weould absolutly recommend to stay at this place, you can see that a lot of love went into it and that she wants to make sure you have a great time in Nelson.

Paula’s place was the perfect spot for a break from camping during our roadtrip. It was stocked with everything we needed and super clean. It was so nice to have our own little getaway with the pool and the spa. 10/10 would recommend staying here! Paula is an amazing host!

What an absolute pleasure staying at Andrew’s property. Inside and out the house was immaculately clean and well appointed. A few standouts for us was the cloths dryer, window/door screens, and gas bbq grill on the covered porch. The location is perfectly quiet and central to many outdoor adventures. Small market nearby is convenient for filling in you essential needs. And the views, oh those views are simply stunning. Can’t recommend this Airbnb enough, will definitely be back.
