I had the pleasure of staying at this lakeside cottage in the Irish countryside. The location is peaceful, set an hour away from Galway, providing the perfect retreat from the hustle and bustle. The cottage itself is cozy with a view of the lake, Lough Mask, right from the window. The host, Maura, was welcoming and hospitable. She made our stay extra special by bringing over a delicious Christmas dinner for us, which was a thoughtful and generous touch. She also provided us with fuel for the fireplace, which added a warm, comforting atmosphere to the cottage. She was always available to answer any questions we had as well! The cottage was also exactly as described—charming and well-appointed. Staying at Maura's gave us a great opportunity to disconnect and enjoy the serenity of our surroundings. Overall, this was a lovely stay, and I would recommend it to anyone looking for a peaceful getaway in the Irish countryside. Maura's hospitality truly made the experience memorable.

Judy was very hospitable and friendly, we were greeted with homemade brown bread and a delivery of freshly home grown vegetables the morning after. Judy gave us ideas of where to go and places to see and a great rundown of how to use the amenities. The house was cosy and homely with an amazing view of Lough Mask. We would highly recommend staying here to all our family, friends and their furry friends. Aoife

We really enjoyed our stay at this place. It was fairly easy to get to using Google maps and getting checked in was also very easy. Brian was very flexible with our arrival time which was great because we arrived later than initially expected. The bar next door was very cosy and had traditional music while we were there. The bar is right next door but you could not hear a thing from inside the cabin. We did not attempt to use the part fire place (it was warm when we were there). The place does smell like smoke, but it added to the charm of the location.

My mother (who I booked this room for) had a wonderful stay with Tessie! Tessie was an incredibly kind and welcoming host and made her feel right at home. The home is lovely and has everything you need, and the location is beautifully quiet with local amenities and a bus connection to the city only a few minutes away. I can 100% recommend staying with Tessie!

It was very lovely to stay with Meredith. She was very hospitable owner with lovely and friendly dogs. Will definitely recommend her place to stay overnight in Galway, especially if you like conversations, dogs and pancakes. Why pancakes? Because she really loves to bake pancakes for breakfast for their guests and we really enjoyed them 😊

The host was nice, responsive and very helpful. The house is huge and the full family enjoyed time together playing games or reading around the fireplace. The house located 30/40 minutes from Galway allowed us to explore the Connemara, Croagh Patrick as well as the cliff of Moher, even if some drive is needed when the roads get smaller.
