Loved staying here. Nathan was great at giving us the low down of the villa and it was really nice to have the fridge stocked upon arrival! If you’re the type who is open to exploring the island instead of staying on a resort all day - this is the place for you. (Must rent a car staying here!!) great location watching the boats come and go. Restaurants and bars short drive away to Nelson’s dockyard. Loose cannon beach bar was perfect to hang out at the beach all day, you can use the day beds for free in the morning before they open. (Sometimes up until 2 pm depending on the day)

Stunning location, beautiful beach, one nice beach restaurant. Lovely cottage with a gorgeous view. Clare and Nathan were very helpful hosts. We have a toddler and they made sure extra railings were added to the balcony to make it safe for her. They even included a welcome package of food items for breakfast etc which is a lovely touch :-) and a cleaner is on hand every day too which is another added bonus. Would definitely recommend!

First time to Antigua and what a find with this villa. The hosts are extremely friendly and responsive and the villa is beautiful. The best part is the view over looking Galleon beach and Freeman’s Bay, the perfect place to watch sunrise and sunset. We had the room setup as a king bed and sofa bed, plus plenty of free parking. Would highly recommend if visiting Antigua.

I was thinking of giving Merlin House a negative review so that no one else would go there and we could keep it a secret. Instead I’m going to say that this is one of the best AirBnB’s we have stayed at, and absolutely unbeatable for views. Nathan’s hospitality was superb, the location is stunning and peaceful. A better place to relax and enjoy I can’t think of.

We had a wonderful stay in this super-charming cottage. Location is great, surrounded by nature but also a 10-minute drive to several nice restaurants. Satriece was very helpful and accommodating. The southern part of the island is the most beautiful and great for hiking. The cottage is hot during the day but cools down at night, we had no problem with sleeping. It's advisable to rent a steady car as the road is not the best. We really recommend staying here if you want to explore beautiful Antigua!

Fantastic accommodations for those looking for a no frills experience. Corrine was proactive, responsive, friendly, and knowledgeable. The cabin was exactly as described and was perfect for our family’s needs. We are looking forward to returning next year and staying here again. Thank you Corinne for a great vacation home base!

It is hard to express in words what an amazing time I had here. The host/s where so welcoming friendly and helpful. I felt right at home as soon as I arrived. The place is so lovely and the surrounding amazing and so beautiful. The fabulous Darkwood beach restaurant with friendly helpful staff and beach attendants an few minuets walk away. I will be returning and soon.

Our stay at the pink shack was wonderful! Sonja is an amazing host and a lovely person, she went out of her way to make us feel welcome and to introduce us to her puppy family. We felt right at home and Sonja made sure that we would have the best experience on Antigua. She gave us many awesome tips that allowed us to get the most out of our visit, and regular puppy cuddle time just made the whole experience even more amazing. We rented a small jeep for 300 USD a week which allowed us to go wherever we wanted on the island. Sonja organized a driver to pick us up from the airport and took us back herself, which made things less stressful for us. The pink shack exceeded our expectations, it had everything we needed and more. Falling asleep to the beautiful sounds of nature was a bonus to us. We absolutely recommend staying here, and we are already thinking about our next visit at Sonja's pink shack.

Pascal ( the owner) took brilliant care of me. Felt like at home. The surrounding is beautiful you can easily go for a walk or to Darkwood Beach nearby. Very close are Crabs Beach and Turners. Sandra’s Restaurant around the corner is a beautiful place to eat if you want to go out. If taking a car it’s good to hire a Jeep. Streets in Antigua are in a bad condition and there are lots of potholes. The next supermarket is in Jolly Harbour, just a 2 minute drive. Since everything is very expensive in Antigua, it’s good to bring a couple of things from home. On the property were 2 friendly dogs and now even 2 donkeys. I gave them some fruit sometimes. Nearby is a brackish water. Where you can watch the brown pelicans and other birds. All in all a nice place to stay if you don’t need a 5* Luxury Resort and prefer the real Antigua with a warm Welcome even if you want to stay for a longer time. Thanks for All!

Sonja is a super host! Her place is the cutest little hideout in the five islands area and has all the essentials. I was in Antigua and Barbuda for a 4-day Conference, although didn’t have much time to get a feel of the Antiguan culture and lifestyle so that’s a miss for me. However Sonja was kind enough to arrange for someone to take me to the nearby beaches for a quick photo before my flight back. Note: If your there for leisure/business, do rent a car with Sonja as it’s much cheaper than getting a taxi to and from the five islands area which is usually USD$30-$40 per ride.

My family and I stayed here for 7 days and had a great experience. Sitting out on the balcony and watching the sea was amazing. Our Host Mr. Curtis was the best!! He was friendly and very responsive. A storm came and fried the tv. He came and changed it out immediately. Additionally when we had car troubles and needed gas, I called to see if he could help. He quickly sent someone to bring us gas and it was such a life saver. I’m not a fan of the steep hill, however my family and I would def stay here again, solely because of how great Mr. Curtis was!
