Holiday rentals with a fireplace in Forest Lake

Absolutely loved our fall getaway at the cottage! Beautiful park and boardwalk paths to walk the dog around. We rented the pontoon and other toys to enjoy boat rides, fishing, and canoe trips to the island. And loved having fires by the lake at night, Was the perfect spot for a weekend away with the family before winter arrives!

For a family union this home was absolutely amazing. We had a freak ice and snow storm the day before but Scott was right out there clearing the decks and hot tub for us, which took him all day! Heavy ice! There were plenty of beds for everyone and the downstairs room equipped with a pin ball, hockey and pac man machine kept 4 little boys busy the whole time. Having the basketball hoop and all the necessary equipment was a major plus! The only thing we missed were decent dining room chairs to sit in. New ones would make this place 110%! Thanks Scotty!

Brian's home perfectly and comfortably accommodated our group of nine adults. The large mud room was convenient for all of our winter gear and loading luggage. The kitchen was spacious and worked well for cooking meals together. There were plenty of drinking glasses and silverware for our large group (that isn't always the case) and we appreciated the multiple dining areas. We loved the game loft and hot tub. The bedrooms had quality linens and the bathrooms were stocked with lots of towels and toiletries. Finally, having a view of the Mississippi River was so nice and relaxing — it was so cool seeing eagles and swans! We really enjoyed our stay and hope to be back.

I wish I could give 10 stars. Super clean and fresh, plenty of towels, comfortable beds, plenty of available places to store our things, several outdoor seating spaces, beautiful view. A couple of minor issues that needed attention were handled and fixed right away. Questions were answered quickly. Our group was several adults and there were plenty of spaces so we could either be on our own or together. An amazing week and we’ve booked for next year.

The house was very clean and tastefully decorated. Many nice touches to meet all our needs, including some play things that our grandkids enjoyed!

My boyfriend and I stayed for one night after a Vikings game and it was great. Perfect location, clean, and comfortable for a short stay! We didn’t have any issues with our stay, very enjoyable.

Patricks place is great for a few people to stay in one place. it was easy to find in a really quiet neighborhood. Patrick was also flexible with check in and out and helping us get settled in

We truly enjoyed our stay at the Goodrich House! The home was incredibly cozy and inviting, offering plenty of entertainment options, including games, books, TVs, and even a record player stocked with classic rock albums from the 1970s—a nostalgic and unique touch that we loved. Although our visit to St. Paul coincided with some of the coldest days of the year (-17°F at night and highs ranging from -3°F to -7°F), the Goodrich House provided a warm and comfortable haven from the frigid temperatures. The location was perfect—convenient to a variety of restaurants and key spots around town. We also appreciated the well-appointed kitchen, which had everything we could possibly need, including a Keurig and a filtered water pitcher. Overall, the Goodrich House exceeded our expectations and made our trip to St. Paul memorable despite the weather. We highly recommend it and would gladly stay here again!

Great stray it was cool!

Claudia's place was perfect for us! Extremely quiet and cozy with a lot of extras thrown in for travelers' needs. The kitchen and bathroom was well stocked with basics for arrival and there was even a bowl of fresh fruit and a supply of ground coffee, juice and milk. Claudia is very thoughtful in regards to this space and generous with extra blankets and pillows. We had our grand baby stay with us and it is a safe and uncluttered space with the necessary infant pack n' play and baby gate along with some toys and baby seat with tray for feeding. We would come back to Claudia's in a heart beat. Thank you for your incredible hospitality, Claudia!

I highly recommend staying here. Roger was a friendly and helpful host with great communication. The home is in a wonderful and highly walkable area. On top of all of this, it is a meaningful stay because the proceeds go to Habitat for Humanity, where Roger and his wife are consistent volunteers.

Such a great spot to stay if you’re looking to be downtown. Cutely decorated and spacious! We had the best time for our friends weekend, and being able to walk everywhere was a huuuuuuge plus! Would book again!

Absolutely loved our stay for our family holiday! Kitchen was extremely well stocked with plentiful coffee, dish soap, snacks, drinks, garbage bags and dishes. Spacious main floor with two bedrooms, three bathrooms, and multiple sitting areas. . Wonderful place to celebrate Christmas with our young kids — we brought baby gates to block the stairs going down and up. Would definitely stay here again!

Extremely comfortable home in quiet surroundings but close to airport and twin cities So many decks, porches, rooms and nooks to sit, relax and gather. Good communication with host Highly recommend this place.

Lovely place with great extras - hot tub, piano, pool table, theater - ideal for families

This was the perfect place for a bachelorette party. It is a really nice space and one of the most unique layouts I have seen. The rooms are spread out so there was a good amount of privacy. The living room and kitchen were great areas to gather in. Some of the group was worried about the location beforehand but it was great. There were no negative reviews about this, I checked a website that lists all crime/911 calls over the past 4 years and there were very few issues, and once there, everyone said it was a great location - so rest assured. There was plenty of street parking. Having a full refrigerator and a full freezer was great for such a big group/house. It was a great stay, I'd stay here again!
