Cottage holiday rentals in Florencia

Quiet, between 30 and 50 min from activities (Arenal, warm waters, lazy tours, nights, etc.). The outdoor space made us happy day or evening, well sheltered from the rain. Jorge, the neighbor who took care of us (main communication, day-to-day questions, where/when/how to buy fruit) was great. It only communicates in Spanish, it is very generous. The house is large and the beds are comfortable. Air conditioning was working in bedrooms. The kitchen outside was really appreciated. Although we could not use it half of the time we were there, the pool was good, the sauna was not working during our stay. A rooster and several chickens came to our grounds for the kids to enjoy.

We had a great time, a place surrounded by nature, private. The house is immaculate, everything is very clean and tidy. The kitchen comes with everything you'll need. Fabricio was always attentive if we needed anything. Definitely hope to be back sometime. I definitely recommend this place to you!

Fantastic view and a really nice property. We didn’t get to see much of the surroundings due to unfortunate weather, but we enjoyed the house a lot. The area is beautiful, even on a rainy day, and the house is very close to the poas volcano, yet far enough away that you are not surrounded by tourists.

Amazing property on a working ranch. Many animals to watch and interact with. Very friendly staff. The restaurant was a nice surprise with fresh farm to table food at reasonable price. Pool and hot tub open 24/7! Room and terrace was one of the best places we stayed on our trip.

A very interesting location. Pleasant farm trails leading to a campground with breathtaking views. Probably would be better to have a futon downstairs to sit and watch TV and then turn into a bed for the evening. Kenneth was very friendly and left us coconuts in the refrigerator and fruit on the counter.

We came pretty late, the last 50 meters is necessary drive very slowly, but the place itself simply famous. No neighbours, beautiful terraces, tiny but wery comfy. It is such an special place, really quite, with special vibe. No matter how far it seems to be from the village.

Good value, nice well maintained clean house with an electric gate, perimeter fence and multiple security cameras. Nice sheltered outdoor areas for sitting and dining on a rainy day. There is a river and mountain with tropical forest rising up behind the house. Old style electric shower head. It can be quite hot if you keep the flow of water low. Nice screened windows for good cross ventilation. Quite cool at night so no need for AC. Spent one morning at Blue Falls which was truly amazing. The kitchen had all the necessary utensils, air fryer, microwave and outdoor grill. Ran out of propane for the stove but Daniela sent over a full tank within an hour.

This place was perfect for us. We stayed 4 weeks and the location was 20 minutes east of La Fortuna so having a car (I think) is essential. The pool was always keep clean and well maintained as well as the house was immaculately cleaned as requested. The wildlife in the back yard (birds, butterflies, iguanas) surpassed some of the local tours we took. Our contact (Marvin) always responded quickly to any inquiries. I would highly recommend Luis’s place.

I had an exceptional experience staying with Alonzo and his family. Their hospitality was outstanding—they were attentive and responsive to all my needs. When I requested a yoga mat, they promptly provided it, along with everything else I asked for. The accommodation is nestled in a serene and peaceful location, perfect for those seeking privacy and tranquility. However, I recommend having a car if you plan to explore the area. Overall, it was a wonderful stay, and I highly recommend it.

We had a great time in Bajos del Toro, even though we only stayed at Francisco's place for our last night in Costa Rica. The cabin is large, exceptionally clean, and has everything needed for 4 people. Francisco was very responsive and we appreciated his quick answers to our questions about things to do. He also allowed us to check-in in the morning, which basically gave us all the afternoon to tour the area; this was really appreciated!

Very happy with the place. Tropical House is a very cozy house, well equipped, safe, I liked the location, the river that passes behind, hearing it is relaxing. This space is one with nature. Anyela very attentive, helpful, any questions, enquiry was attended, super recommended Thank you Anyela! .

It is a large, super equipped, very clean and comfortable house. The pool and bbq area is beautiful. Very happy to have stayed, we would come back without thinking.

We loved our stay at this Airbnb. The space is spacious, quiet and safe, ideal to rest and enjoy nature. Everything was very nice and tidy which made our experience even more enjoyable. A minor detail was that the TV didn't work, but with so much for enjoying the outdoors, it really wasn't necessary. Also, the kindness of Doña Gloria made us feel welcome at all times. Definitely a place to stay again!

Excellent place to stay away from the city, very nice and quiet to rest enough and it is quite close to the Poas Volcano and other attractions around 😊
