The house was cozy, and we felt at home right away. There were many games that we tried out, which was a lot of fun. The house was beautifully decorated for Christmas, and we really enjoyed that. The underfloor heating was fantastic. The view of the dam and the surrounding landscape was stunning. We also enjoyed watching the cows from the window. Everything was so typically English! The house is right on the road, but the windows kept out all the noise. Parking at the pub's parking lot was difficult during peak times, and unfortunately, there are no alternative parking options nearby.

We spent Christmas at Rodica's place and she made sure that it felt just like home. She managed to decorate for us and the place was spotless. Communication was great and whenever we had an issue or query she was very responsive and went out of her way to accommodate us. We look forward to another stay soon.

Very nice little cabin, everything we needed for a couple night really cosy with outside lights and hot tub fully recommend to anyone.

Great place 3 lovely rooms and nice open plan lounge kitchen area ideal for pets , 10 minutes walk to the centre down hill so prepare yourself for the walk back ! Some lovely walks / trails once you get down to the river . Nice little pub 100 yards along the road then 2 minutes to another 2 micro brewery bars which we loved ! Definitely will be booking again . Pete was very accommodating and responded to any questions we had very quickly ! 5 star rating thanks again

My best friend and I stayed for two nights for my birthday. We wanted somewhere peaceful, relaxing and comfortable. Lizzy’s cottage was even nicer than we expected, the photos don’t do it justice. The hot tub was amazing, especially in the cold weather. The tub and the whole house were spotlessly clean too. Harrison (the host) was very helpful and responsive to messages, he always replied instantly. We had a really lovely time and left feeling recharged and rested. We would definitely recommend this cottage to others and would love to come back.

We spent two days at the cabin and it was absolutely amazing! The place was surrounded by lakes, which was beautiful to wake up to. The cabin itself is very cute and cosy. The hosts were fab, they have maintained the place very nicely and have a loaded chest full of entertainment stuff, ranging from movie DVDs, books, board games etc. Would recommend 10/10 if you want a quiet and peaceful getaway, away from all the city chaos.

Perfect for our girls weekend. Everything we needed, and more. Very responsive host and helpful with our questions. So close to Chesterfield, Matlock and Bakewell for a lovely day out. Only down fall was no paths near by for walks, but still managed to get out for a run this morning and it was fine. Loved every minute, thank you.

Our third stay over New Years visiting friends. Always spotlessly clean, warm and cosy. Just what we needed for a lovely stay.

We just visited and had the most brilliant time, the Airbnb was a walk from the Lincoln Centre and upon arrival we were greeted by great hosts who gave us a tour of the property and a few excellent recommendations. The property was perfect for the two of us and squeaky clean! The hot tub was great and very easy to use, we even were able to order takeaway to the cottage despite its quiet and obscure location. The bottle of bubbly left in the fridge for us was a perfect addition to the stay. For any cat lovers special mention for the two propriety cats who we absolutely adored! We would not hesitate to return one day in the future and will be sure to recommend to our friends and family for their own visits.

We enjoyed our stay in this little cottage. Lovely and clean. Comfortable bed. Appreciated the large Tv and Netflix for a cosy afternoon indoors. But the surrounding area was fabulous. Two pubs, three cafès, two Italian restaurants and good walks around the Dam. Make sure you go to Capri Italian for breakfast. Superb! Slight niggles were; no hairdryer, egg cups, champagne flutes or side tables but would still highly recommend.

The images for this air bnb don’t do it justice, the home is beautiful and well looked after, and the hot tub/garden is peaceful and comfortable. We travelled here as 2x families with 4x adults and 2x children. There is one double bedroom downstairs, with a bathroom, and one double and one twin (two single beds) upstairs with another bathroom. We had one or two questions/small issues whilst staying in the Airbnb, these issues were only due to the weather being below freezing and this causing an issue with the hose, and subsequent use of the hot water/noise it made. When we asked the hosts they answered our questions immediately and came over within minutes. They could not have been more helpful. The hot water tank is in the twin bedroom, and it does make quite a loud hum when in use, which is just something to bear in mind when choosing rooms/using hot water. Michael and his co-hosts have decorated and laid out this home beautifully; we will definitely be returning!

Stayed here at the weekend with 2 friends. The cottage is lovely and clean and cosy. Everything you need home from home. There were eggs and milk and bread etc in the fridge and enough wood for the wood burner…very cosy . Ideally situated for exploring the Peak District and Chatsworth . Would definitely recommend !
