Very nice house with a pool and a big garden, everything is clean and comfortable. I can only recommend to stay here. We will definitely do so :)

We stayed for 4 days. It took us a little to find the site because there are several places that are called the same in the area, but as soon as we called them by phone they gave us all the facilities to get there and it was a very warm and pleasant welcome. Abilio and his family are very kind and have been attentive at all times. The house is very convenient and close to tourist sites to visit: Braga, Guimaraes, Valença… at night, in July, it made us cool, but we were phenomenal.

Stay was great, it's a perfect place for hot summer days with pool and several balconies overlooking nature. Very nice hosts. Clean place and well received by us. I hope to have another stay again.

Our stay was absolutely fantastic. The accommodation exceeded expectations, super clean, well smelled, and very accommodating. A big house, with immense privacy, great to rest. All the hosts were super attentive, and very helpful. We intend to return.

My family and I had a lovely time at Quinta do Vale da Ermida. Very quiet and peaceful location with a stunning view, especially from the pool. Very spacious and equipped with all the amenities we required for our stay. Last but not least, Catarina was always very responsive, helpful, and proactive in her communication with us. Would definitely recommend!

To everyone who’s thinking of renting this house; if you’re having doubts, this is the sign to go for it. I’m speaking on behalf of my family and myself. We were a group of 8 who had the lovely opportunity to spend New Year’s Eve in this beautiful space. To start with, pictures don’t do justice to the gem you find when you pass through the entrance door. The house seems like it blends or comes out of the mountain itself. Maintaining original external features of what it seemed an old house that was carefully blended into the newer structure of the main house. When you enter you have the feeling of being at home and from any of the panoramic windows to the west side of the house you get the breathtaking views of the Douro river They’ve thought of all details and making it a perfectly functional house to not have to leave for as long as you plan to stay there. Having the breakfast service is also another extra service we were really happy to have thank you for the lovely experience.

What an EXTRAORDINARY accommodation Casa Marmelo was for our group of 8 adults when visiting the Douro valley !!! Host Kate was super to work -- right from our initial contact for information through our date of departure. What an excellent WELCOME GUIDE she provided before our arrival - with valuable tips and suggestions for activities and dining throughout the area. Housekeeper Helene too could not have been more kind, charming, and helpful. What delicious breakfasts she made for us each morning. The entire property was kept so clean and tidy. What a memorable time we all had -- we all hope to be back!

We came to Antonio’s place to relax with our family for a few days after the wedding, before heading out to our honeymoon. There are no words to describe how beautiful and perfect this place is! The house is clean, peaceful, and the breakfast is INCREDIBLE. The fact that we could wake up every morning to the birds chirping, fresh air, and a whole table of fresh cheese, meat, bread, jams, yogurt, fruit, tea, coffee, etc. was one of the best parts of this trip. Maria and Antonio are extremely kind and helpful. If you’re on the fence, I promise you won’t regret staying in this sanctuary!

We had a lovely time staying at Joanna's place with 11 of us, which meant some of us could take doubles. The house is really well put together with multiple spaces to hand out, dining room, living room and porch, which we all made use of.

House in great condition. Cristina, our hostess, was extremely friendly and very attentive. I recommend renting this property.

Very nice house, the caretaker Olivia was very welcoming and did us a favor. The estate is very large, many more peaceful (shaded corner, large pool...) there is a very nice dog who stayed with us during our stay. The only small downside is the automatic watering which is not too often too often, which is not necessarily necessary sometimes. I recommend this vacation rental with friends in Portugal! ☺️

Beautiful house with amazing views. Well stocked with necessaries such as oil, salt, loo roll and dishwasher tablets. We loved the pool area. Carlos was polite, efficient and responding quickly to minor issues we raised. Would definitely recommend for a rural holiday away from the crowds. Thanks for the wine and the natas

We are really happy with our vacation… the place is just a paradise! So much better in real life than in the photo... the house is very well equipped, 3 bathrooms, 3 toilets, really everything you need (except washing machine) the paradise garden, very green, large, fruits everywhere, 2 swings, the pool is huge 🤩 the view is crazy, the owners are incredibly kind!! The managers always have good addresses… frankly amazing!! We highly recommend this area, this location and meeting these people who are great! Thanks
