Very nice house with a pool and a big garden, everything is clean and comfortable. I can only recommend to stay here. We will definitely do so :)

Absolutely fantastic place to stay. Amazing house with pool. Amazing views. And Alda was very helpful. We had a wonderful time there.

We stayed for 4 days. It took us a little to find the site because there are several places that are called the same in the area, but as soon as we called them by phone they gave us all the facilities to get there and it was a very warm and pleasant welcome. Abilio and his family are very kind and have been attentive at all times. The house is very convenient and close to tourist sites to visit: Braga, Guimaraes, Valença… at night, in July, it made us cool, but we were phenomenal.

Stay was great, it's a perfect place for hot summer days with pool and several balconies overlooking nature. Very nice hosts. Clean place and well received by us. I hope to have another stay again.

Perfect week at home with friends. Nice house to live in. Beautiful exterior and perfect interior. House close to beautiful cities and all amenities Leo is available, very good contact. A property to remember. We hope to be able to come back.

A spectacular house, very tastefully renovated. The area is perfect if you want to visit Porto (less than an hour), Braga, Guimaraes... Everything in the house is totally new, with very comfortable beds and everything you need. Nice to stay here, really.

Our stay was absolutely fantastic. The accommodation exceeded expectations, super clean, everything smells good, and very welcoming. A large house, with immense privacy, great to rest. All the hosts were super attentive, and very helpful. We intend to return.

Paulos place is even better in real life, the pictures do not do it justice. The view is insane. Extremely friendly and responsive.

To everyone who’s thinking of renting this house; if you’re having doubts, this is the sign to go for it. I’m speaking on behalf of my family and myself. We were a group of 8 who had the lovely opportunity to spend New Year’s Eve in this beautiful space. To start with, pictures don’t do justice to the gem you find when you pass through the entrance door. The house seems like it blends or comes out of the mountain itself. Maintaining original external features of what it seemed an old house that was carefully blended into the newer structure of the main house. When you enter you have the feeling of being at home and from any of the panoramic windows to the west side of the house you get the breathtaking views of the Douro river They’ve thought of all details and making it a perfectly functional house to not have to leave for as long as you plan to stay there. Having the breakfast service is also another extra service we were really happy to have thank you for the lovely experience.

We had an amazing stay at Diogo’s beautiful place. It is even better in real life than it looks on the photos, with great views and supermarkets / restaurants close by. The house is open and bright and perfect for a group of 10-15. Would highly recommend and will definitely be returning

Fantastic accommodation. Beautiful gardens, pool and house. Marcus is a very good host, and looked after us so well - bringing us little gifts like fresh orange juice just made the experience so much better. One of our children really wanted to keep a huge lemon he’d found in the garden but we told him he would have to ask. Instead of just saying no, or yes, Marcus said “sure, but why don’t we make some lemonade together!”. Just so thoughtful and kind. The house is very well equipped and beautifully furnished. Lots of attention to detail. Pool is very large and everything is perfectly clean. Marcus and Rick really did go out of their way to ensure our stay was successful without ever being intrusive, so please don’t hesitate to book!

What an EXTRAORDINARY accommodation Casa Marmelo was for our group of 8 adults when visiting the Douro valley !!! Host Kate was super to work -- right from our initial contact for information through our date of departure. What an excellent WELCOME GUIDE she provided before our arrival - with valuable tips and suggestions for activities and dining throughout the area. Housekeeper Helene too could not have been more kind, charming, and helpful. What delicious breakfasts she made for us each morning. The entire property was kept so clean and tidy. What a memorable time we all had -- we all hope to be back!

Marisa’s property was absolutely perfect for our family (10 adults). The individual apartments were lovely, clean and comfortable and gave everyone their own personal space while also providing a common space for us to gather. We were greeted promptly on our arrival with a tour and clear instructions. (And a nice welcome basket of goodies!) The location was also great, giving us access to restaurants and attractions. Very walkable to most places. Highly recommend this property!

Absolutely beautiful venue!! There are no words. Communication beforehand was fab. Antonio was really helpful and booked us a sunrise yoga session for the day we left. He was responsive to questions & made sure everything was organised for us so that we could have the best time! Maria did the most amazing breakfast for us everyday. She even made sure I had a special gluten free basket of goodies! The venue was clean & had everything we needed. It wasn’t the greatest weather but Maria came in & put the log fire on for us, which was sooo cosy! Wish we could have stayed longer but had to get back for work. Thank you so much for making my friend’s celebratory weekend the BEST!!

Very nice house, the caretaker Olivia was very welcoming and did us a favor. The estate is very large, many more peaceful (shaded corner, large pool...) there is a very nice dog who stayed with us during our stay. The only small downside is the automatic watering which is not too often too often, which is not necessarily necessary sometimes. I recommend this vacation rental with friends in Portugal! ☺️

We are really happy with our vacation… the place is simply a paradise! So much better in real life than in photos… the house is very well equipped, 3 bathrooms, 3 toilets, really everything you need (except washing machine) the garden is heavenly, very green, large, fruit everywhere, 2 swings, the pool is huge 🤩 the view is crazy, the owners are incredibly kind!! The managers always have good recommendations… frankly amazing!! We highly recommend this area, this location and meeting these people who are great! Thank you

We came to Church house in Moreira do Castelo, August 2024 with my wife & three teenage children. It is situated opposite a newish village square, carpark and 1960's Church, with spectacular views across the mountainous countryside looking towards Amarante, (a beautiful town), only 15mins away by car. In the village itself, there is Cinza's bar, a couple of small independently owned bars/shops nearby, but we found it easier to stock up on groceries at Pingo Doce in Amarante itself, (only 12 mins away). Great amenities at the house, swimming pool, bbq, pool room, tennis court etc., with a great deal of local charm the way the circa 1883 house has been rebuilt. It was v. hot whilst we were there (upper 30's), but with the shutters and mountain breezes we still found it very enjoyable. Within the village square, there is a football pitch, a kiosk which sells beers most evenings, where the locals gather. Conversations can be heard until gone midnight. Church bell strikes at 7am.
