Holiday rentals with lake access in Fayette County

This place is a dream! Had so much fun with my girls for Antique Week! The owners are amazing! We will be staying there again!

6 minutes from Bastrop. Clean. Host lives upstairs. There are 3 bedrooms and 2 full bathrooms. One bedroom has a full size bed with a desk and computer work station. Another bedroom has a king bed and a crib with a little blanket. There are some toys and a stool for kids. This room has a pocket door into the main bathroom, which has a tub and a hand-wand shower head, which is great for bathing kids. The master bedroom across the hall has its own double sink, full tub and shower with instant hot water. It has a king bed, blackout curtains, a sliding glass doors overlooking the swing set in the backyard, and three office chairs to use as luggage racks. There’s a path down to the pond through the woods out back. It’s about a minute walk to the water. It’s a natural area, so it’s muddy and a bit swampy at the water’s edge. Not a place for fishing, swimming, or boating. Just a fun place for little kids to explore the woods and then head back to the swingset. It’s a quiet place.

I was looking for a special outdoor experience for just me and my nine-year-old granddaughter and did we find it!!!! The Reserve at Greenleaf went above and beyond our expectations!! It offered outdoor adventures including some of the most phenomenal wilderness hiking experiences we’ve ever had. The hiking along with the luxurious yurt experience were our favorites! The campfires, hot tub, stargazing, and fun games under the pavilion added even more special moments together. Just loved the peace that came with this most majestic experience. All was exquisitely clean. The most fabulous hosts, Jeanne and Bubba, were the best. They were quick to respond to any questions. Loved the coffee!! Snacks were great, too, after we put in hours of hiking. And the beds were super comfy. We slept so magnificently. Oh, almost forgot the hammock! My granddaughter just loved this special touch. I did too. Hats off to the hosts for this special set apart place of recreation, rest, retreat, and enjoyment! It makes for a great getaway from The hustle and bustle of busy every day and especially city life.

Wonderful cabin! Spacious inside and out-our whole family enjoyed shorting basketball and the paddle boat on property. The boys’ favorite activity is the fire pit at night and our host was gracious enough to provide s’mores ingredients. Everything was well stocked-kitchen had all basic utilities plus a bonus of coffee and hot chocolate. We enjoyed our entire time without any electronics-great way to reconnect as a family and appreciate the outdoors. Can’t wait to come back!

We had such a wonderful time at the cabin. It’s cozy, clean and beautiful on the inside with a gorgeous view of the lake. It’s extremely private and quiet. We had the lake to ourselves and enjoyed the kayak that was provided. My husband and son fished for hours and even caught (and released) some fish. My husband and I enjoyed drinking coffee on the porch overlooking the lake in the morning and reading a good book. We found a sweet little slice of heaven at this cabin and definitely plan on booking a stay again!

We found the house to be better than it was described! We all had easy parking off the street which was great ! The house had bicycles, boogie boards, basketballs, cornhole, tubes for the river, board games, and much more! There were stairs to go down to the river, and a table to eat at right outside the house so easy to see people in the pool! The fire-pit had great chairs around it , with extra firewood if you needed it! Lighting outside was fantastic so none of us tripped walking from the fire to the house. We were 30 min away from vineyards , antiques, and other fun experiences further away from Smithville., but Smithville was full of antique stores, art galleries, and coffee shops. There was even a nice sofa area outside to relax and read. We will definitely stay again when heading that direction

Beautiful, peaceful and very clean! We found what had been advertised. Looked like the photos! If you are looking to getaway and relax this is the place. Beautiful outdoor patios, pool area, lower and upper decks. Very nice! Great amenities! Nice large kitchen, dining and living area!! Would rent again! Reid the host was super to work with! Great communication from him!

We had a great time enjoying the space in and around the ranch! We biked, hiked and relaxed in the space. What a wonderful place to spend a few days to relax and recharge. The host was great and responsive to all questions and needs. The bike trails were fun and challenging, if you are coming to ride or hike.
