Holiday rentals with a fireplace in Fairfield

Previous reviews mentioned train noise but the house was well insulated so it was very muted. Blackout blinds and double-glazed windows did their job. The Folgers coffee set up was excellent and they left creamers. Beds were new and clean. Seating was limited, but we are a couple. Everything worked, especially the heater, since it was cold. We will stay again when we visit family nearby.

The stay was amazing and I will definitely be coming back soon. The neighborhood was nice and quiet and around a lot of great stores and food spots as well!

Our stay was absolutely wonderful! The home was peaceful and located in a quiet, friendly neighborhood with beautiful views. One of the biggest highlights was how welcoming they were to our pups. It made our stay even more enjoyable. Communication was excellent; they were always quick to respond to any questions we had. Overall, a fantastic experience, and we would definitely stay here again!

Our stay at Veronica's exceeded all expectations. The location was perfect—everything we wanted to see was just a short 10–15 minute drive away. The home itself was spotless, spacious, and looked exactly like the photos. Veronica was an exceptional host, always quick to respond and incredibly kind throughout our stay. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience!

Kevin and Catherine's place is exactly as pictured. They were incredibly responsive during our stay and went above and beyond to accommodate my twin infants. The outdoor amenities for kids were fantastic—super kid-friendly! We’d love to stay again.

This was our second extended stay at the Heritage House while in Sacramento on family business. Robert was a great host and was very responsive to our questions. We continue to be very satisfied with the accommodations and very happy to see some of the updates including bedroom curtains, additional kitchen appliances, Mrs Meyers hand soap and Native toiletries. We enjoyed having the space to spread out and sufficient bathrooms for our group. We made good use of the kitchen, dishwasher and laundry facilities. And it was great to relax in the living room with the big screen TV after long days of physical and emotional labor. While we hope to not need many more family business trips to Sacramento, we will definitely stay here again when in town!

We had a short and pleasant stay while visiting family nearby. The location is great, we loved walking the neighborhood and to nearby parks, coffee and restaurants. The apartment was peaceful and comfortable, with thoughtful kitchen amenities. Thank you Renée, we look forward to coming again.

We had a lovely stay and glad to have booked this place for our first time in San Francisco. Place was clean with a good collection of books, location was beautiful, and really appreciate the tap for filtered drinking water.

Great location, just north of downtown. Great price. Very private. We enjoyed our stay.

Everything as described. Well-stocked kitchen, perfectly capable of cooking meals. Lots of space. ~15 min walk to Berkeley Bowl, which is a great place to pick up groceries. Some reviews mention hearing footsteps overhead; there is an apartment overhead, and the sound is about as loud as you would expect for living in a lower-level apartment. Joe is very quick to respond to questions, which reduces any issues that might come up. I had some problem with the WiFi, and Joe replied quickly to help me troubleshoot the issue. Overall a smooth experience.

We stayed in Casita 1 for two nights and couldn't have been happier. The location was really good. The MacArthur BART station was about 3 blocks away and the AC Transit 57 line provided 15-minutely service from across the street to the Oakland Museum, Chinatown, Lake Merritt, the Grand Lake Theatre, and even more places by transferring. We walked around the neighborhood during the day and from the bus stop around 10pm and felt safe. The directions to check in were very clear and easy to follow. The Casita itself was even better than in the pictures. The colors, textures, and design were beautiful and stylish enough to be in a magazine, but also very cozy and welcoming. We also really appreciated the special touches that put this accomodation over the top. Disposable slippers? Yes! A variety of cool drinks to welcome you? Yes! Mouthwash? Yes! Nespresso and pods? Yes! Earplugs? Yes. Liquid cream for afternoon tea? Yes! I could go on, but you get it. We would definitely stay again.

Heidi’s place is one of my best air b n b experiences. Her house is clean comfortable, snacks and cookware made for an easy transition. The apartment was beautifully furnished and thoughtfully designed. It really feels like she cares about her guests and their experience. The unit is quiet and parking was always right in front. Really nice cafe nearby. Laundry mat was clean and easy to get a machine on the weekdays. I live in oakland but needed a place to stay for a month and it was a mini vacation staying by the lake. A few times I ran into Heidi as she was out walking her dog, she is a joy.

Jonathan's place was truly like home. We particularly appreciated the full kitchen, well-equipped, which enabled us to cook several meals rather than always eating out (although the neighborhood has many interesting ethnic restaurants). The beds were comfy -- both had reading lights -- and screens in both bedrooms and the living room.

I stayed here for a month and it was great, I highly recommend! As described and seen in the pictures. Annie was helpful and ensured I had everything I needed. I think this apartment is perfect for 1-2 people with a child or small/medium-sized pet. Clean and cozy with nice, warm lighting. The bed was comfy, kitchen was small but well-equipped, living room was roomy with a medium-sized couch, and bathroom more than sufficient. I loved relaxing on the deck as well! The neighborhood is hilly and beautiful, close to bus/ferry/restaurants/stores. Touristy downtown, but not as much in the immediate vicinity. I walked A LOT with my dog and enjoyed it, but the hills can be steep! Definitely a very safe area. The only “con” is, in my opinion, it’s just a bit expensive for the size. However, I understand it’s in a pretty wealthy neighborhood and am sure Airbnb fees/taxes account for a decent part of the cost. Suffice to say, this is a once-in-a-long-while stay for me. Hopefully that’s fair.

Overall House is worth for paid money > (1)we really enjoying the nice surrounding around the house, canoe rowing, photos talking from Pier as well as from the parked yacht that even do party / celebration inside the Boat.. (2) Great photos with sea & lake background around the house.

Could not have been a more perfect place for a girls weekend in Napa! House was extremely clean. Easy to communicate with the host. Would definitely stay again!

Great place for a multi-generational gathering. There were many spaces to gather and the home is large enough to peel off for some quiet time. The outdoor spaces are lovely and private and the pool makes for a beautiful setting. The kitchen has plenty of glassware, dinnerware and flatware which makes feeding a crowd for several meals a day very do-able. Spring lake park is accessible by a path just up the road and the trail around the lake makes for a lovely walk/run. Folks enjoyed "practicing" their fishing techniques but didn't get a nibble. Proximity to Rossmoor community made this a very pleasant getaway with very little travel for our older parents.

My family (parents, grandparents, and kids) stayed at this great waterfront home in March 2025. My kids loved the heated pool, hot tub, and kayak! We liked the well appointed kitchen and having lots of space to spread out across the five bedrooms. The only downside is that’s it’s a bit on the well used side and could use touch-ups here and there and one bedroom is a loft so we had to be aware of the noise level downstairs. That didn’t stop us from having a great time and using this as our jumping off point to the city (15-30 min depending on traffic) or North Bay for hiking, oysters, and wine.

This is a nice house, beautiful, plenty of space, clean, our group enjoyed staying there. Great neighborhood, it's peaceful. Good location, close enough to get to downtown. Jessica was a great host, quick response to questions and friendly. We would stay again. Thanks

Our stay was fantastic—peaceful, quiet, and exactly what we were looking for. The host was very communicative and provided clear instructions well in advance, making check-in a breeze. Everything listed in the amenities was provided, and the hot tub was easy to use and already heated upon arrival, which was a nice touch. We even had some wildlife visitors, adding to the serene atmosphere. While it’s a little outside the city, the tranquility and nature make it absolutely worth it. Highly recommend for a relaxing getaway!

Beautiful home and great place for us to gather with our children and grandchildren. We would definitely come back. A great time was had by all. Communication was great and check in seamless.
