Hotel holiday rentals in Elgin

Very accommodating to our very late check in time. Answered all my questions promptly and was more than happy to greet us and let us in at 2am when we arrived! Beautiful spot and comfortable rooms with a nice shared kitchen! They also had ducks and other birds to feed, and baked us muffins. Definitely would stay here again.

Perfect. This is a hotel/hostel, not a "residential" airBnb. It was absolutely ideal for my stay -- a single traveler, out exploring, looking only for a simple and comfortable place to sleep. Everything was very clean -- and interacting with a real human at check in/check out is bonus. The on-site bar is nice, too. Met some fellow travelers and felt very welcome the whole time. I don't visit Chicago often -- but will definitely seek Freehand out next time I am in the Windy City.

Linda hosts a bed and breakfast with multiple private rooms for separate guests. Linda is very responsive and accommodative! She even provided freshly baked (and warm) blueberry muffins in the morning!

Very clean, comfortable space. All the rooms are in the basement but it doesnt feel like a basement. Very cozy, and it was fun feeding the ducks and chickens.

A wonderful place, clean, well equipped, friendly, and located in a great neighborhood. We will return the next time we go to Chicago!

Rick’s place was great. Everything matched the photos. Location was great. Easy access to transportation if needed. Concierge was very helpful and friendly as well. Would stay here over and over again

This place was perfect for a week in Chicago with family! The space was as described, beautiful and sparkling clean, and communication with the host/staff was quick and easy. Having a 24-hour concierge and sundries for sale in the lobby was fantastic for any questions or snack/drink needs. And the Andersonville neighborhood is such a fun place to explore, with lots of great restaurants and shops!

It was a great stay. We felt like home. Good place to stay with family. Breakfast was awesome. We will be coming back and stay here when we visit Chicago next time, hopefully next summer 😊

The location is amazing! Extremely walkable to the lake & the river. So many places to eat & shop nearby. This room is a Superior king room, which isn’t noted in the listing, so look it up on their website; where you may even get a better rate and choose the type of room you’d prefer. It is quite small @337sq ft, even for just 2 people, but a nice room nonetheless. There is no dresser, just a closet with 2 smaller drawers, which worked ok for us. Full size lighted mirror, a shower & soaking tub (!!!) The pillows were all down feather or like.They did have water stations on 3 of the floors to fill your bottles, a great feature. The rooftop bar had delicious tapas and craft cocktails and a beautiful view of the city and lake. Paid $386 a night at the end of August & Labor Day wknd. The staff were extremely friendly. Overall, we enjoyed our stay very much! Would def stay again, but would book through Viceroy directly and get a lake view room that is larger.

This is amazing place to stay - right in the heart of River North. It’s walkable to everything and the place is very nice. Great little pool and good workout room. Lobby staff is helpful and friendly, with coffee and fruit water in the lobby. We’ll be back!

I was hesitant booking a hotel through Airbnb, but it was super easy, much cheaper and we had no issues.

Stayed the night after a family function. Didn't arrive until midnight but was super glad that we were able to check in so late, as someone is at the front desk. It was easy to find. Room was larger than expected. Bed was very comfortable and room was clean. The only minor issue we had was noise from people hanging out in the parking lot/being loud, outside our window, past midnight. Luckily it didn't go on too long, and we were able to sleep. We planned on breakfast, but choose to get the extra sleep in the AM instead, so we skipped it. All around would def not hesitate to book again.

Very affordable, friendly and helpful staff. I enjoyed my stay and will be staying again when the time comes!

Rooms were nice, TV worked, beds were just as in picture. The only thing was there was no rooftop access from the elevators or stairs as it was listed to be available. So I'm not sure if it's only accessible from the main lobby room or just not available anymore.

Host was super responsive and place has a great view to the lake!

We had a great stay in Plainfield! The space was very clean, homey and exactly what we needed for a one night stay. When we arrived Justin greeted us and was very friendly and made us feel welcome. There was additional information in the room which we found useful. We did appreciate the YouTubeTV available for us to use. The area is beautiful and felt very picturesque. We will be staying here again for our next Planfield visit!
