Life rhythm simple living close to nature!

The life rhythm in the cottage is basic, close to nature in a wonderful hiking and cycling area, in a large, nature-rich place: vegetable garden, newly created food forest, flower gardens & pond are ecologically managed. There are a few pets (dog, cat, chickens, walking duck, bees). The refrigerator is underground and the composting toilet an experience in itself. The whole is made as environmentally friendly as possible and an invitation to live simply while respecting nature. There's a wood stove.

B&B de Bovenbouw: Loft in characteristic school

In the school building where we live as a family we have transformed the upper building into B&B. In the 5 meter high room we built a loft where there is a double bed and there are 2 children's rooms. We give sports lessons in the gym in the building, feel free to join or go monkey cages with your children when it rains. Outside they can feed the chickens and roosters, cycling / stepping around the square and directly in front of the school is a playground. 5 min away a beach/nature reserve.

Op wandelafstand van het gezellige Gieten met heerlijke verse broodjes of een Gieterkoek bij de bakker. Hier vind je de supermarkt en leuke restaurants. Op de fiets ben je zo in de Drentse staatsbossen met het mooie Gasselterveld, Boomkroonpad en eeuwenoude hunebedden.

Sauna use includes the booked price :-) . My place is close to the village center, art and culture in Assen, Groningen and the immediate vicinity.
