Holiday houses in Dulac

The location of the house was beautiful and off the river. We can beautiful sunset views and was calming wAtching the river traffic go by. The house was well stocked for kitchen amenities and plenty to board games. Beds were comfortable too. Very comfortable stay. Would love to come back.

I wanted my family to experience the area and hopefully some Cajun culture b/c they only know the NO city areas. I've always wanted to stay at what locals refer to as a "camp" - recreational house on pilings, so I reserved this one. Ida was the best host I've had since using Airbnb. We had major a major car problem on the way down to LA, which delayed our arrival a day. Then, at the tail end of our stay we all came down with a 24hr bug. Ida went above and beyond regarding both incidents!! She even offered to make a store run for us when we were sick. The camp was impressively clean. Our bed was very comfortable. Favorite feature - jacuzzi!! Screened porches - great to entertain family from Covington. Comfortable reclining chairs. Woke up to sounds of nearby roosters & wildlife. Fishing at Pointe Aux Chen: C'est bon! - spectacular! I wish we could've stayed longer to use the grill and even do a crawfish boil! I highly recommend this place. Will definitely be back!! Bottom Line Up Front: If you are looking for a place to live while visiting Houma and this place is available my advice to you is to get it before it’s gone! This home is situated in a quiet neighborhood with nice neighbors. It is minutes away to everything from a coffee shop to a hospital. The house was very clean, well-organized, and packed with all the amenities just like our home. My family felt secure and comfortable throughout the stay. The modern interior offered excellent Wi-Fi with television options. During our vacation an unexpected visitor came to town and he resided with us for 1 night in the amazing 1 bed, 1 bath fully furnished single apartment! Listen, you have read the listing, and now you have read this review, trust me…this is the one! The combination of the host and home, makes this place unlike any other in Houma!

Terissa and Kurt were excellent hosts! Brought us homemade gumbo our first night. The house itself is delightfully charming, full of old house creeks and pops when you walk on the floorboards that reminds me of history. The deck and yard were excellent for sitting outside in the morning, sipping coffee, and watching the water flow by. Some enormous barges passed through that were interesting to see.

We enjoyed our time at Sheri’s place. We liked walking to the grocery store and cooking every night.

Only a minor hiccup with the tvs in the bedrooms-but this was a very special trip for us with our family and Tammy’s place made it all the more memorable. Definitely off the beaten path-but absolutely gorgeous. If you’re a swamp lover-this is literal paradise. Would definitely recommend renting a boat if you’re able! Would happily visit again.

We flew down from Illinois to celebrate my brother’s birthday. The house and location were great! The boys fished off the dock and took the kayak and paddle boat out. We all enjoyed sitting on the back porch. Brooke’s place was very clean and we all adored the decorations! We will definitely be planning another trip!

It was so wonderful being able to visit with family yet have our own comfortable accommodations. It made the trip so much more relaxing.

This was our second stay at Rick’s place, it was great just like last time! He’s very responsive if you have any questions but his details on the property guide tell you anything and everything you need to know to have a great stay! Very clean and being able to tie your boat up to the dock over night is simply the most convenient thing that I love the most.

Morgan is a gracious host. Her instructions and food recommendations were perfect! The home is beautiful, comfortable, impeccably clean and the backyard is fantastic! The neighborhood is quiet and clean, not far from the mall and the interstate. I will be staying here again! ❤️
