Relax at Q

JohnnyRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
It was a great base for the Weirdo's Walkabouts rogaine that we ran on the weekend, well located for Weirdo to spend Saturday on his bike setting up the course, then to head to Event Control on Sunday morning. The house itself was ideal for our group of 8 people, with a spacious and pleasant kitchen/ lounge area

Bluetopia

We spent our Christmas there and it was absolutely perfect! Home away from home! With loads of space and had everything you would have in your own home! Unfortunately we didn’t get the weather to use the pool much but it was certainly a fantastic addition to our stay! Would love to stay there again!

Phillip Island Dream Getaway

ShaneRating, 5 stars2 months ago
Such a huge house and it’s literally just outside the Cowes border. Short drive or walk to vent or beach which was so nice to just sit and look out over. Short drive to town along Ventnor road, literally like 5 mins max. Secure backyard for my pupper. Nice outdoor pagola area to relax in. Heaps of living space to watch the tennis or board games. Big bathrooms and kitchen too. Very spacious, would happily book here again.

Villa Biarritz retreat in Blairgowrie (Spa-Sauna)

MoiraRating, 5 stars3 months ago
Biarritz is a beautiful, stylish villa in a peaceful garden setting and Sylvie is an excellent host, always so friendly, responsive and helpful. We were three generations staying for eleven nights after Xmas and the five bedrooms, spacious, bright, open plan living, kitchen, dining areas suited us perfectly. The new spa and sauna were a well used added bonus. Sylvie has ensured every room is so well equipped, with all we needed plus many extras and thoughtful touches that we have not seen in other houses, and all is of a high quality. Thank you so much, Sylvie for a wonderful holiday. Moira

Your guide to Dromana

All About Dromana

Set along the western shore of the Victoria’s Mornington Peninsula, Dromana is a laid-back beach town peppered with small wonders. Front and centre is Dromana’s eponymous beach, which features a walking path that winds through a foreshore reserve dotted with banksia and tea trees. Set at the base of the peninsula’s highest point, Arthurs Seat, the beach is noted for its rows of colourful bathing boxes and scenic ocean views. The beach also has a pier that extends 200 metres out into the bay, making it a great spot for a sunset stroll.

Parallel to the beach is Point Nepean Road, which is lined with charming cafes, craft shops, and fish and chips shacks. Inland, visitors will find a variety of parks, nature reserves, and green spaces, such as Arthurs Seat State Park with its car-accessible lookout points and hiking trails that offer sweeping views of Port Phillip, and wildlife like koalas, wedge-tailed eagles, and southern brown bandicoots. In addition to dazzling waterfront beaches and distinctive parks, Dromana is a part of Mornington Peninsula’s renowned wine country, with dozens of wineries and craft breweries just a short ride away.

The best time to stay in a holiday rental in Dromana

Dromana experiences mostly fair weather with many visitors choosing to come during the spring, summer, and autumn when temperatures don’t rarely drop below the single digits Celsius. In summer, people flock to area beaches or traverse inland to tour the Mornington Peninsula’s flourishing wine country. The peninsula hosts events year-round, including a concert series, wine festivals, auto races, art fairs, and performing arts festivals. A local favourite is the Soul Night Market at Dromana Estate, where creatives, makers, craft vendors, and food trucks gather every second Friday of the month throughout the summer months.

Top things to do in Dromana

Arthurs Seat State Park

Locals’ favourite Arthurs Seat State Park features lookout points offering views of Port Phillip and, on a clear day, Melbourne to the north. You’ll also find a network of hiking trails, mountain biking trails, and Seawinds Garden, a charming greenspace with a playground and a lush nature reserve. For the real panoramic views, drive or hike to the top of the 314-metre peak for the full 360 angle.

The Drive-In

Catch a flick at Victoria’s longest continually running drive-in theatre, which has been screening films for 60 years and features a 1950s-style diner with Hollywood décor and pinball machines. On Sundays, the cinema hosts a flea market with vendors selling fresh produce, food, antiques, crafts, and other odds and ends.

Dromana Wine

The Mornington Peninsula’s mild maritime climate makes Dromana and its immediate vicinity a stronghold for grape growing; the area has over 20 wineries and vendors that specialize in Pinot Noir, Pinot Grigio, and Chardonnay. Take advantage of a group wine tour, enjoy a tasting, or have a nice meal for supper while sipping on reds, whites, and pinks.
